Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

I still haven't seen myself on the Liberty prog, although we were right in front of the camera for some time (I genuinely didn't notice until DD pointed it out). I love it - and I might have just gone on the website and ordered quite a shitload of stuff Xmas Blush including this rather wonderful piece - they look incredible IRL and I would have bought it when I was in there, only I was going home on the train and was already loaded with bags

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 22:41

Loads of wreaths being knocked round these parts too Sleep really rubbish. So sorry to hear that.
Off to google Him and Her.

Sleepwhenidie · 16/12/2013 22:48

That is certainly um, "Unexpected" Grumpy - are you sure you want one Xmas Grin?

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 22:53

Sleep we've had a couple of wreaths stolen so commiserations./ Shame they weren't fucking electrocuted. I boobytrap mine with spine covered Pyracantha stems, bits of sharp things (being deliberately obtuse here) and padlock them on.

Grumpy That is darned scary Xmas Grin and might possibly frighten the horses.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/12/2013 00:23

I already have a wall-mounted, almost life-sized zebra head made from Haitian cement bags (Anthropologie - stay with me on this one) so I have form. Xmas Wink

A pox on all wreath stealers. Bastards.

QueenCadbury · 17/12/2013 07:48

Woooohoooooo!!!! I have a shipment email from BR!!

Drywhiteplease · 17/12/2013 08:05

Hehe Grumpy a "life sized zebra head made out of Haitian cement bags "!!!! Now that trumps everything Xmas Grin sounds a bit Damien Hurst.....we need a picture please. Possibly one of the wackiest sentences I've ever read!

Sleep stealing wreaths, that's really crappy! bah humbug ....hope your desk I looking lovely Xmas Wink

So today, in honour of the grand performance , I have donned sequins don't want to be outshone by any angels or snowflakes thanks very much!

Zara sequinned steel grey jumper with chiffon lining. Black cigarette trousers. Black M and S pointy suede slippers. purple big toe (forgot to tell you that the stage squashed and broke it yesterday, can only happen to me,don't panic though, friends, I will still be wearing heels this Christmas, my plan is paracetamol and alcohol and sitting down a lot, hurts like hell) Xmas Smile

Have a good day!

shopafrolic · 17/12/2013 08:27

Break a leg Dry

AmberNectarine · 17/12/2013 08:59

I tell you what, I'll be glad when December is over and I don't start every day with a hangover.

Annianni · 17/12/2013 09:06

Is it your b-day yet Amber? Flowers

Is your toe broken Dry?

Advice needed on mnv, boring stuff, not fashion related unfortunately...

shopafrolic · 17/12/2013 09:34

Sleepwhenidie · 17/12/2013 09:40

Ah, now I love the zebra...maybe the horse was a bit too lifelike Grin

Dry, looking fabulous as ever by the sound of it???hope the play goes well without any more injuries, that stage sounds, frankly, like a death trap Xmas Grin

Amber maybe a Christmas tipple at lunchtime....hair of the dog and all that. I remember December lunches and evenings when I was working...I would die if I drank that much now!

Sleepwhenidie · 17/12/2013 09:41

Aargh, I keep getting question marks instead of dots or commas - why does my iPad do this Xmas Angry

QueenCadbury · 17/12/2013 09:43

dry is your toe broken. Dh broke his a few months ago falling down the stairs. It took a while for the pain and swelling to settle. You may need to get an X-ray as sometimes they need pinning if it doesn't heal.

What kind of bastard steals a wreath? Ours is an old plastic thing hanging on the gate. If anyone really can be arsed to untie it they're welcome to it!

AmberNectarine · 17/12/2013 09:44

It's on Thursday Anni - it's reached fever pitch Chez Nectarine.

OneLittleLady · 17/12/2013 10:00

Morning all! Have been up early this morning to make the buttercream filling for my sisters birthday cake! She's coming round later to sit and watch christmas films, eat cake and drink wine. I will only be partaking in the wine Xmas Wink

Ahh, your poor toe Dry, QueenC is right, you ought to get it x-rayed. I broke three of mine at once a bit back and it's agony walking on broken toes! You're braver than me if you're still going to be wearing heels!

Decameron · 17/12/2013 10:09

I love that horse's head, Grumpy!

Glad your cardigan is on the way, QueenC. Gap were slow to deliver my order which I was annoyed about as it contained Christmas presents but got it in the end. My neighbours were broken into yesterday afternoon, I was home but didn't hear anything. It does make you feel nervous.

That is just so mean to steal a wreath.

Ouch, poor toe, Dry.

Have fun with your sister, One.

Love my Matches order, it arrived yesterday afternoon and I only ordered yesterday morning. I paid £12 for delivery but still excellent.

We leave tomorrow so in case I don't log back on, merry Christmas to you all!

Mignonette · 17/12/2013 10:29

Grumpy I saw those in Anthrapologie and the post earthquake publicity for them. It is gorgeous and less scary than the flowery horse.

Dry your poor toe! Tape it up because if it is broken and sets wonky you will be more likely to lose your balance as you walk. Toes are stabilising and balancing you see Xmas Grin.

One what a lovely way to spend a day. I am on deadline for some writing for a MH site so kitchen table covered in unintelligible scrawls and I want a cigarette (always a trigger is writing). What films will you be watching?

Amber loved the Great Plains dress- you looked hot girl. And what a bargain.

Anybody looking for inexpensive stocking gifts? TK Maxx has Tokyo Factory mens/teenagee pants in little sweetie style sealed packets for £4 upwards. Bright colours and trunk or Calvin briefs style. They also have Almond Roca chocolates, Really good Turkish Delight and Italian Torrone at bargainous prices.

Saw and told you about the E Coudray didn't I? Well they have Bliss products in stock too-the massage bar, Bliss body butter and lotion two pack for £12 (!!!) and other products. I also bought more gorgeous Italian and Portugese soaps. They are divine and scent the whole upstairs floor in a fug of violet, rose or sandalwood when they are used. Triple Milled to boot like all good Italian soap.
