Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

I have been on a decluttering rampage this year. I set myself a 2013 challenge in January that I wouldn't buy any new body creams, nor shower gel until I used up what I had stuffed in cupboards. I finally bought new body cream about 3 weeks ago and haven't bought any new shower gel. Blush

mamasin · 16/12/2013 19:19

Oh I wish I could "like" all the posts here regarding the welcome from the Irish (and non Irish) diaspora. thank you so much gals

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 20:00

Hello- typing with one hand as just gashed finger on smashed jar of Membrillo paste (God that sounds smugly Middle Class doesn't it?), applied pressure without checking that the wound was free of glass and gashed it even more.

What a donkey.

I went to TK Maxx a little while ago and saw lovely cashmere mix Clements Reibero striped T shirt dresses. Lovely straight knitted styles in cream, white and pale blue. £!2,99!!!!

I bought some House of Holland trunks for son, Rochas trunks for husband (now you all know what pants he wears-that is hilarious Xmas Grin), a Smedley sea island cotton and merino cloud grey V neck sweater for stepson and a YMC black leather belt for stepson too.

And they have E Coudray bath moussant and body cream! In the heavy glass jars for again, £12. I bought some and gave it to husband to put in my stocking. Who said surprise was dead?

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 20:09

Novice I've probably got enough nail varnish and lipstick to last until 2050!!
Can't believe I cooked dinner and missed a wedding. I always give good hat face too!
So I tried my parka on today (remember that?) It's been in a bag waiting for Christmas (I nearly forgot I had it). The good news is I still love it. Phew.

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2013 20:11

Is it a Christmas present Shop?

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 20:21

Yup. From DH……..to replace my rubbish puffa jacket.

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2013 20:24

Liberty I love Bobby for you Grin, very sweet.

Novice hope things are ok, and you have a fabulous break over Christmas.

Sleep I love that wallet. It's gorgeous.

Umlauf great! Your hair is gorgeous and lovely and looks great at that length.

Linus love that skirt.

Good one Because

Very lovely Matches stuff Decam. Both will really suit you.

Dry how funny! Glad the child wasn't hurt. Am laughing at the wafting. I remember at ballet the adults left big huge scissors in the netting up above full of paper snow. We all looked up, and bang bang on the floor. Could have been awful!

Foxy two months! Are you pre-school still? That is fantastic.

One lovely presents..

Grumpy and QueenC I hope your orders are sorted.

Oh no Mig. Was a plaster enough?

Santa how are you feeling?

Long!

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2013 20:24

It's lovely Shop, I admire your waiting skills Grin

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 20:27

Don't forget Liberty's on TV tonight…...

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 20:28

Love the parka Shop

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2013 20:28

Ah tg. Yes good. I did forget, I always forget! Great was waiting for 10pm.

Drywhiteplease · 16/12/2013 20:32

I'm watching !

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 20:38

Yes a plaster job Marsha thank goodness. Blood all over the kitchen table though and its soaked in Sad. Lovely and attractive, just ready for Christmas.

Have eaten a French Fancy (boak) to cheer self up. Love the Great Plains Parka Novice.

QueenCadbury · 16/12/2013 20:38

grumpy I even left a message on BR Facebook and got this reply...

Banana Republic Hi, we're sorry for any disappointment with your order delivery. We work to get your items out to you as quickly as possible and although you've probably been used to getting your items faster than the guaranteed time, during busier seasons like the holidays your order may be a little delayed going out than what you're used to, but should always arrive by the guaranteed time frame. Kimberly, BR Customer Relations Xmas Hmm

dry and foxy you wouldn't like living with me. I can be messy although it is an organised mess honest. I tend to leave dp to do wht he likes with his study but I do get cross when people have to sleep in there and it's a mess.

Went to dd school play today (year 3) and it was fantastic. So much hard work by the teachers and children.

Drywhiteplease · 16/12/2013 20:44

I want a pom pom maker!

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 20:47

Seriously Dry - put your foot up - all the blood's rushed from your brain to your injured toe! Nutter....Xmas Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/12/2013 20:56

Aren't you watching Kirstie ? Who?who does this stuff....but I've just been on amazon and put a pom pom maker and loads of multi coloured wools in my basket Xmas Grin.
If someone gave me tie dyed knickers for Christmas I would not be too chuffed though!

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 21:04

I've always made pom poms with cardboard rings, no new fangled maker for me Xmas Grin

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 21:14

Kirstie is our hour of hilarity. You couldn't make it up. I love pom poms but her alpha crafter persona sucks the joy out of glittery shit Xmas Grin.

Tie dye? Okay if you like that Greenham Common look....Husband is pissing himself laughing at tie dyed pants.

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 21:20

I'd be quite happy with tie dye pants tbh, they could be my disco pants Xmas Grin

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 21:21
Xmas Grin
shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 22:27

dry I love the assumption that I might be watching Kirstie but frankly I'd rather stick needles in my eyeballs. Am now watching Liberty's on catchup....... Much less frumpy! Xmas Smile

libertychick · 16/12/2013 22:31

Quick run in to say Shop the sample knitted squares are in the post. First class so hopefully you get them tomorrow.
Night all.

Squeeeel! Thanks lovely liberty

Sleepwhenidie · 16/12/2013 22:36

Xmas Angry - some little git has nicked our wreath off the front door - the joke is slightly on them because it was this so they snapped the cable that was fed through the letterbox to the socket Xmas Hmm - how miserable can you get though?

I've had a nightmare with a JL delivery too, missed them twice and they didn't deliver a third time as promised, now parcel has been stuck somewhere for about 10 days Xmas Hmm. I have given up and reordered - CBA. Just my Dad to buy for now and I am done - hurrah!

Mig your poor hand Shock - hope you are ok

I am attempting to declutter my desk as I speak btw...feel as if some of you neat freaks may be spying on me Grin

Shop am with you on the Kirstie/needles issue. Umm - if its not a stupid question, why do you need pom poms? I never really saw the point, even when I was little Smile. I just watched two episodes of Him and Her - anyone seen it? Cringingly hysterical. Had to stop myself putting another one on. Just me and DD tonight, the boys have gone to see DMIL, poor DD still has school Xmas Sad - she was slightly consoled with me painting her toenails in a rainbow of christmassy colours before bed though!

Umlauf love the hair!
