Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

Hello all....so dressed rehearsal today, only lost one child off the back of the stage! During the sodding bloody grand finale crib scene too! He was fine. Need to get the snow flakes sorted, not enough wafting "I need more wafting guys! You're snowflakes not children!!!!"
Big day tomorrow.
Some great links.
umlauf hair looks great!
one like a lot here, once we all started having children we decided to buy only for them with a small pressie for adults wine or coffee normally

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 15:33

dry I quite like getting gifts for the adults, makes a change from buying toys! Luckily, this year they seem to be more understanding about not getting big presents. it's taken some of the pressure off as I can't magic money out of thin air!

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 15:35

Just received another e-mail from JL. Basically they agree it is not the level of service I should expect from them but that's it. Oh and they hope I can find another present soon and wish me a Merry Christmas. Hmm

Poor DS had a fever this afternoon so I went to fetch him from nursery earlier than usual. He's sitting next to me watching Mr. Maker and drinking apple juice so I hope he's better soon.

Good news re BA one and shop! I agree, it sounds like they are in trouble so it's best to stay clear of them.

BrandyAlexander · 16/12/2013 16:38

We I buy for all our siblings plus a couple of cousins. Much as I could do without the stress I do get some fantastically thoughtful presents from the sibs. Source of stress, much?!

foxysocks · 16/12/2013 16:44

hello hello. hugs to all that need them, grrrrrrs for all the poor service.

i feel rather unispired fashion wise. wore a jumper dress and fleece lined tights today with bikers - talk at DDs school in the morning then lunch with friends. now FORCING Dh to clear out and organise his study, he drives me mental with untidiness and a complete lack of understanding re: regular declutters. grrr.

bought a charcoal muscle tee in the matches sale before it sold out Grin, getting ready for two months of warmth, hurrah hurrah!

Drywhiteplease · 16/12/2013 16:53

foxy your post made me laugh!! DH has been (at last because I said I won't clean it and he'll get vermin in it) sorting out his study. So far it's taken 3 days..... "Just get on with it, stop watching sport on TV, manage your time better and file stuff as you go along instead of letting it pile up until it resembles bloody Kilimanjaro!" of course I keep this to myself Xmas Wink

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 17:03

One what did you actually receive from BA? Something nice? Any links? (to redeem their dire situation)

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 17:07

Shop it's a silver Pandora bracelet for my sister2's birthday. Sister1 already has one so she's got a kindle which is what she asked for

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 17:26

Wow! How lovely

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 17:27

I feel certain she's going to love it Shop she's wanted one for ages but with a husband and three children, their money is tight at the best of times. Our brother is buying her a bead for it so she will be started off by family Xmas Smile

foxysocks · 16/12/2013 17:32

what a lovely gift One, so thoughtful

dry he drives me quite quite mad with his study. I opened a drawer today and almost WEPT at the sheer volume of crap stuffed inside. i just don't get it at all, I hate too much stuff and love everything clear and organised.

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 17:40

Foxy Dp is similar, he just piles stuff up and then it's like he doesn't see it! I'm forever telling him to shift stuff. The study here is mine and it's my little haven, laid out just how I like it with all my musical instruments and shelves for my music books.

Drywhiteplease · 16/12/2013 17:59

That's it! I'm ditching DH and marrying foxy.....clean and clutter free are my favourite words!Xmas Grin

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 18:04

Yay! A MN marriage!!!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 16/12/2013 18:15

Thanks for the boot links Linus and QueenC. I was in town earlier and watched a woman trying to cross the (cobbled) road in a pair of high wedge boots - very comical. She staggered on bent legs and I started to wonder if that would be me...

I have heard precisely nowt about my BR order and am still waiting impatiently for the emerald silk pussy bow blouse, whereas stuff I'd ordered from BR the day before The L'wren scott collection came out arrived early last week. You're right - it's not good enough.

I've had a stressful day too, which included spending an hour on the phone to Apple trying to get the new ipod I bought DD2 to work. It won't and now they're sending me a new one which I've been assured will be here before Christmas it better be

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 18:22

What would you wear on your big day dry and foxy?

You probably won't invite me as I have several drawers stuffed with junk. Xmas Blush

one those are very generous gifts! I hope you get some nice ones in return!

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 18:23

Fingers crossed it gets to you in time Grumpy that said, when I've had dealings with Apple before, they've always been fairly speedy getting things out to me. Might be a bit more difficult with it being a week before Christmas though Xmas Hmm

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 18:23
