Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

Hhmm sounds like if I get rockstuds I won't have to share as I am a 3/36. Grin

The dcs did have a lovely day but I am so exhausted. Also feeling stressed out and cross with dh.:(

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 22:36

Uh oh Novice all ok?

BrandyAlexander · 15/12/2013 22:43

Thanks Shop. just a lot on my plate. Busy at work and just a lot going on with the dcs, christmas and the houses. I am sure I will be back to my usual cheerfulness tomorrow!

santamarianovella · 15/12/2013 22:44

Sorry shop but they do tend to run small!so I think the will move to libertys for some R&R, Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 22:45

Well until then, sending you hugs and a chill pill. Hope tomorrow makes things seem better.
Night all x

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 22:46

I'm off to dream of rockstuds whilst quietly weeping to myself

libertychick · 15/12/2013 22:49

Xmas Grin Love you Santa, love you!

((((Hugs)))) novice. Are you having any time off over Christmas? I have really stressed myself out at Christmas in the past and then realised it's just a day with extra food and drink and some presents! The DC will probably think the best bit is having you and your DH all to themselves. Smile

Sad novice ,you've had a stressful year ,and I find that December is a very stressful month for couples, hope everything will turn out ok tomorrow.
Night all!

libertychick · 15/12/2013 23:04

And my final comment today, I may have to start another separate thread about this. DD has started calling me Bobby! I have no idea why, we don't know anyone with that name, I don't think we have a story with a Bobby in it etc. She has always tended to nickname me but they were things like 'Mammog' and Mammick' but Bobby is just so far out of left field. DH is finding it very, very amusing. She called me Mummy probably twice today. I've tried ignoring her when she calls me this but she just shouts louder or puts her hands on my face and says 'Bobby, are you listening?' I'm finding it rather disconcerting.

liberty just call her Shirley back

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 07:37

Morning!

liberty I love the ring and bracelet you linked last night. I think I'm a winter but I like wearing gold and silver jewelry.

And I think it's really sweet that your DD calls you Bobby. Dsis was the queen of funny nicknames when she was younger and she regularly made up new ones for DPs.

novice (((hugs))) you seem to have a lot on your plate as always!

Anni good to hear you're feeling better!

Ugh, today is another foggy depressing day. The lake region has been covered in a thick fog since last week and it is getting me down. The only sunlight I've had in a week was yesterday when we were in the mountains.

Sleepwhenidie · 16/12/2013 08:27

Hello everyone - thanks for the good ideas for gifts. I especially loved the ring Bobby Xmas Grin. I started browsing last night and thought hmm...wonder if I can push my luck for a nice wallet - which somehow escalated into me going completely off piste and drooling over Balenciaga Citys. looking like a bargain after the Cartier necklaces I was ogling the day before but still DH caught me and told me to get back on brief Xmas Grin. Its my birthday two weeks after Christmas and it doesn't really work that well sometimes in terns of presents . I think he has a present planned for birthday.

Novice hang on in there, nearly time for a break. It must be so tough, two of you working as hard and travelling as much as you and DH do Sad. You must be so excited about the charity at the moment, to see it all happening must be great.

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 09:38

Matches and Donna Ida sales now on

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 09:39

Although I thought Matches had been on for months? Xmas Hmm

Umlauf · 16/12/2013 09:51

Morning. I love England Grin

Off for my biannual haircut in an hour and I think I'm going t get it all chopped off Shock

It's really long now, below boobs, and am thinking of shoulder length. So nervous! Egg me on?!

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 10:04

For grumpy boots

They're not pony skin and not Isabel Marant but they look quite similar.

Do it umlauf! Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 10:07

You'll feel like a new woman Umlauf do it!

QueenCadbury · 16/12/2013 10:20

Do it umlauf. Can't wait for my trim on Saturday. I can hardly see through my fringe.

Mignonette · 16/12/2013 10:26

Hello all-

Decam How awful that you should be mugged and injured. I get the absolute rages when I hear that. I sadly am the kind of person who would end up stabbed one day because I tend to intervene and I resist. I will say in my defence that I have a well honed antenna for trouble way before it starts so hopefully that's my saving grace.

Liberty That made me laugh- if I was related to Phoebe I'd be playing the nepotism card and asking for a job Xmas Grin. I read a lot about fashion. Probably too much! I'm not that edgy, not that much of an 'early adopter' and tend to wear what I want as I get older rather then what is on the leading edge of fashion. I suspect we are all like that here.

Dry -ten boys with carte blanche in McD -financial ouch! You sound the queen of parties.

One - time to bring in Secret Santa for the adults. That sounds very expensive and stressful. We only buy for the children.

Santa you shouldn't still be having symptoms after a course of treatment has ended so maybe best to ask for a urine sample to be checked again and talk to your GP? Many UTI's are resistant to Augmentin and Trimethoprim for example and so rebound once the course is finished. Its a stressful time of year and you don't want to be under par when the doctors are closed.

Grumpy I am little but I am fierce! Yes if it had been somebody elderly they'd have been trapped at the top of the steps, backed into a corner literally with no way of getting out. That made me very cross. I might have 'accidentally' caught one of their backs with my foot as I stepped past them (they were still sitting on the steps) Wink.

Umlauf I just had a lot of hair chopped off. It was below my boobs too and is now jaw length so go for it! Much easier and baby won't grab at it.

Novice hang on in there Flowers. Been such a long haul year for you in every way. I have plenty of clothing for you including teenage boy stuff, nice T's and jeans/shorts so let me know if you would like it. And plenty of men's clothing also. Will ask my daughter for a box of unused clothing too. She has plenty.

QueenCadbury · 16/12/2013 10:29

I need to rant!! My BR cardi is still pending shipment. Apparently they're inundated with orders after having a 40%off offer. If they're going to have these flash sales they should get the bloody staff in to deal with it. I've been promised delivery by 22nd but as last week they said the 16th I'm not holding out much hope of receiving it by Christmas.

Rant over. Thanks for listening Grin

shopafrolic · 16/12/2013 10:33

I can join you on this QueenC DH's christmas present was delivered to my house number and road name in a different village. M&S called on Sat to say it was being collected and redelivered that day. It still hasn't arrived and M&S can't tell me where it is. The village is 10 mins drive away. I could have picked it up myself. Rant over. I thank you.

GGRRRRRRRR

In solidarity with you too.

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 10:47

Another RANT!!!!

I bought a decanter at John Lewis as a Christmas Present for DBIL and it was supposedly shipped to DPIL address in Belgium on the 5th but it hadn't arrived yet so I sent them an e-mail yesterday enquiring what happened to it and mentioning that it was a Christmas present.

Just got an e-mail back saying that they actually hadn't shipped it and that they would not be able to ship it now in time for Christmas so they were going to refund me.

WTAF! What about giving me a choice? Maybe I choose to have it shipped anyway even though it won't be there in time? Or maybe you express ship it as a commercial gesture for messing up my order?

GRRRRRRRRRR!

LinusDKD · 16/12/2013 10:51

I am so angry that I even forgot to mention that I ordered this skirt in the Matches sale.

I tried it on IRL a while ago and loved it but was wating for it to be on sale. £12 for delivery though! Shock

OneLittleLady · 16/12/2013 10:57

In delivery related news, my BA order is actually out for delivery to me with the local courier! It should be here today fingers crossed. Will never order from them again mind. I badgered them relentlessly for over a week to get the order as I've bought things to go with it and can't get refunded for them so everything's hinged on getting this order!
