Morning all Brew from me - you are a lovely lot
Dry that does remove the glow a bit doesn't it? Glad the night was fun though.
DH is still in bed Hmm - I need to go out - I might just dump DS on top of him and let him figure it out?

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2013 09:37

Ha Shop yes do.

foxysocks · 01/12/2013 09:46

Is that CdC code still available, Linus? I have my eye on something....

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2013 09:54

Foxy loved yor outfits! I know you looked fab. Birthday sounds great.

Mignonette · 01/12/2013 10:01

Good Morning everybody Flowers.

Bit of a sore head today as had a rare drink at a house party that went on for 9 (yes, 9) hours yesterday. Our friends own a Micro Brewery and we drank them dry, plus other alcohol.

Happy belated birthday Foxy. Bet you rocked it.

Am still in red jersey PJ bottoms, navy long sleeved Uniqlo T and leopard print dressing gown. A bizarre look-preppy crossed with Bet Lynch.

Hello All

Loving the Black Friday deals! Hasn't come in terribly handy for Xmas shopping (which is now almost all done, smug face), but I've been indulging myself:

Sparkly blue coast top as blogged by amber to serve me for my Xmas do at work and Xmas day (foxy loved yours too, but couldn't argue with the price differential between coast +20% off vs white co, plus tried the gold colour way in Coast, and whaddya know? It really isn't one of my colours (I did know that, but it was good to see the startling difference))

3 pairs of Goldsign jeans from Yoox, 1 black, 1 dark denim, 1 grey. Not intending to keep all, probs only 1 pair, but wanted to compare and contrast. Tried on a pair last weekend at local premium denim place, and have been obsessed ever since. Gorgeous feel.

Just ordered a ruched skirt and a pencil skirt from Baukjen using the 36% off. Both for work.

Morning all!!
I went shopping yesterday. I finally bought a bag!! Its from Kate Spade,
www.pinterest.com/pin/76350156156819511/ I have never considered Kate spade before thinking the bags were a bit garish and too girly for me but this one is lovely soft leather and the perfect size, can be worn cross body or on shoulder. Looked good with my coat and outfit in the shop so I went for it!! I must admit am having slightly lukewarm feet about it now and it is exchange only but I think thats because its a lot for me to spend on one item.
Thanks for the Elemis cleanser recommendation Shop I bought that too and this from Cos www.cosstores.com/gb/Shop/Women/Knitwear/Merino_cocoon_dress/46889-8088453.1#c-24479 which of course looks better on.

Mignonette · 01/12/2013 12:16

I like the Kate Spade Carrie. It is a forever bag. That is one cool dress. Lovely midnight blue shade.

Whoops sorry Linus/grumpy! Got you confused in all the shoes/j crew/codes love in. Grumps have you used the code, can I give it a shot? Flowers

Birthday is tomorrow, mig. Big monnierfreres package in corner of bedroom with my name on it Grin

foxysocks · 01/12/2013 13:15

Carrie I have two pairs of goldsigns, absolutely love them and CPW is minimal, hope they are lovely once they arrive. I tried the coast top too but preferred WC fit on me, plus the vouchers made it a no brainer.

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2013 13:43

Justa love the bag and the dress.

Carrie good one on the Coast top, think QueenC has it too.

Foxy how exciting! Is it a new one?

Mig love those photos, especially the twinkly lights ones. Very pretty.

Has anyone ever tried Just Ballerina pointed flats? The shape looks a bit odd? Is the front bit too deep for a flat?

Mignonette · 01/12/2013 14:02

Think they are a fresh take on Ballet flats Marsha. I think a deep front can look very 'beat' with exposed toe cleavage especially if you have narrow feet. If it is a wide scooped shape it isn't so flattering on broad feet though although a pointed scoop is. The ballet flat (Winter style with more structure and rigidity to the shoe) with skinny pants and going out-top never dates. Or with blazer or 'Sloppy Joe' sweater.

I wonder how much the foot arch is lifted in those? I like the flat, FLAT foot shape.

Sorry Foxy I got a bit out of touch and haven't been able to read back x

Thanks Mig. Should probably wait for the sales now before getting anything.

libertychick · 01/12/2013 15:26

Hello all, sorry I feel very behind...lots of stuff I haven't commented on and too far back to catch up properly. Thanks for the Flowers Marsha - everyone have some from me too this is a fabulous bunch of women... Flowers

Dry and Mig - hope you are recovering well.
Great bag justa I was admiring it on pin. Your Cos dress is very like the one I got a few weeks ago - I love it. So comfy and looks great on.
I really like those pointed flats Marsha, They look like they have a reasonable hidden wedge in them so the deep front would not feel odd I think and likely to be comfortable.
Carrie is there a code for Coast 20% off?
Foxy what are you looking at in CdC - love that shop.

shopafrolic · 01/12/2013 15:30

Marsha FRIENDS25 will get you 25% off until midnight tonight if you want to try them…….

Mignonette · 01/12/2013 15:40

I like bouncy work shoes. I have a pair of grey felt flatform lace ups, like mini Brothel Creepers with crepe soles that don't squeak on ward/office floors. Love them and they are great for my tired old legs. However I'm moving onto a more sedentary life so will have to watch it.

I'm still undressed. Just couldn't be arsed to dress today. Watched Mickey Rooney 'Home For Christmas' half heartedly on Movie Mix and will have restorative Indian (creamy mild choices) tonight. Now watching the vile Sharon Osborne on XFactor-how more sexually inappropriate can a woman be towards young boys? She is sleazy. Why do I watch such crap?

The town has a mega three day christmas fair on and its been hell for residents with total selfish sods parking everywhere on residential streets. Traffic jams, people aimlessly wandering about eating stinky food. Grrrr.

Drywhiteplease · 01/12/2013 16:39

I really like them Marsha.
I tried this look today. Really nice. I loved my coat......a real staple I'll wear a lot.
When I got home I stuck on my denim straight legs cuffed with a long stone cardi over the denim spot shirt. Double denim over 40 BLOODY hell Shock but funnily enough it worked
