QUeenC do you have an alarm? If not, get one fitted. Please. Ours cost £1,000 but has given us peace of mind. But yes, call the police today and ask for advice. In light of recent burglaries they should be happy to help.

Today's Facebook response from BA
BrandAlley UK Hi S, we will get an update and be back shortly. There may be limited delivery information at present however, as delivery from private sales takes between 14-21 days and your order was made on the 25th November. Many thanks.

Shop Hi. Shortly isn't good enough I'm afraid. There seem to be countless people waiting for orders and many unhappy customers. I would therefore like to cancel my order and get a full refund. Please confirm this has been actioned within the next 24 hours or I will be forced to take the matter further.

Morning all!
Good news re the Barbour QueenC!
Hope everyone gets their money back from Brand Alley.

I read an article on retail in a business page yesterday and it said M&S have overstocked - commented 'have they bought al the world's available cashmere?' so I have my fingers crossed now from some cashmere bargains in the sales. I love my M&S cashmere cardi I bought last year and really want another one.

Shop did you miss my offer to knit you some wristwarmers? I am planning to do myself a pair over Christmas. I am a bit slow at knitting but provided you can wait a few weeks I could do it Smile.

shopafrolic · 12/12/2013 09:15

Wow Liberty really??

Happy to pay for the wool…….. Yes please!

shopafrolic · 12/12/2013 09:16

Are you keeping the dress Marsha?

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 09:23

Wonderful Liberty!

Shop yes I think so. Am so bored with the dresses I have, will be nice to have something new. Thanks everyone for feedback. Really nice Smile.

On my way to Cutler & Gross. Am very excited!

Going to check out Celine bags too, just in case.

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 09:25

QueenC great news on the Barbour. Did you wrap it up carefully? Grin

Dry well done on the blog lookout. I get daily emails from Brand Alley, I probably always have, but it's irking me that they are trading with such bad reviews.

I hope they refund you Shop.

I love that dress Umlauf, it's beautiful.

Mignonette · 12/12/2013 09:38

Decam Hope the little ones improve soon. I find ice cream a good treatment for Chicken Pox using the Chinese medicine rationale of cold foods to cool an overheated itchy body and mind (slight bending of the ancient principles there).

Linus I often go to Borough although Marylebone and Bermondsey markets are better for crowds and less tourists. We'll be the wrong time for Borough as arriving on the SB later in the day.

Queen My BIL is a Locksmith and securities expert for USAF. I can ask him for expert advice if you like. He has to go to all kinds of secret places and install secret things! We have sashes and love them the rattly old things they are- we have bolts screwed in and the lower ones are so stiff it'd wake the dead pushing them up. They are twelve pane though so not possible to squeeze through. Anybody intimidating me in my bedroom would get a baseball bat in the faceXmas Grin. We keep one under the bed in the London flat. Happy to do the time too if we get prosecuted if it makes them think twice about the reception they might get in the future. I'm a placid person generally but after something not good happened to a colleague, we decided to get proactive.

Grumpy That is a total pain and getting to the point with Christmas spending where it is easy to lose track of I&Us.

Umlauf Love that dress and have commented underneath the photo.

Can I just congratulate Zatchels on their amazing customer service? The satchel I ordered for daughter is way too big for her. I left it over a month before emailing to ask for a swap to a smaller size. Not only did they reply within five minutes, they sent me a FREE postage returns label and said they'd automatically despatch the replacement with partial refund to save me ordering again. There was no need to pay returns postage as it is my fault I am returning it. Just brilliant.

Hurrah for some good customer service mig.

Thanks again for all the security support. I've organised a survey and quote for an alarm later on this morning. My phase eight top has been delivered but I'm so obsessed with security that I haven't had chance to try it on Grin

libertychick · 12/12/2013 10:15

Well done Zatchels.

Shop pm....

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 10:19

You know that question from ages ago. Who would you wear only? (If free). Most definitely Celine. Swoon at the stuff.

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 10:38

Phew had to get out. The big cream knit, olive green soft leather skirt and navy jumper were hurting me, too nice.

Whittled down to olivey green and soft grey frames in C&G. But since they are rather £ I want dh to see them before I buy. Either a family trip on the weekend or next week when he's off work.

foxysocks · 12/12/2013 10:47

I am twitching! badly! have put two orders in already this morning and considering a third. omg the madness has got me.

foxysocks · 12/12/2013 10:58

this brand alley stuff is scary. i saw the SGS post and considered tweeting but i don't know her - well done dry

queenc we have sashes and have bolts a few inches up on each window. they are unscrewable from the inside, so keys in each room in case of fire.

liberty that is such a lovely offer. I really wanted to have a go at a bobble hat like the AWO post but don't know one end of a knitting needle from the other. I would totes pay you to make one for me!

marsha you look fab on pin.

I snuck in with the matches code this morning after an email to say the jumper on my wishlist was back in stock. hurrah! used the rest of my birthday money to buy it. have pinned. couldn't resist. was exact amount i had left to spend, grey marl, oversized, animal print AND my initial. fate.

also sent DH a link to the dress I want but i suspect it won't happen until india is paid for. fair enough.

off to practice. have great days everyone. x

Mignonette · 12/12/2013 11:02

I missed the SGS post on BA? What was it?

OP posts:
libertychick · 12/12/2013 11:07

Foxy I'll see how I get on with Shop's wristwarmers! I am knitting some for a friend for Christmas and have a scarf, hat and wristwarmers planned for myself and a jumper for DD. If I get a few things done in the next few weeks then I'll let you know if i have time to do a hat - the hat on AWO is v easy knit - have you anyone to show you the basics? It's incredibly satisfying.

foxysocks · 12/12/2013 11:08

she was partnering with them for a competition/giveaway, mig. not a good association! you'd think she would have done her research first. it was for a £100 voucher to spend there - yeah right!

foxysocks · 12/12/2013 11:09

ok thanks liberty. I might have a friend who could show me. I leave for india on the 6th Jan and the early mornings on the way to practice are cold, I always take my hat, would love to have a bobble hat this year!

RubyLovesShopping · 12/12/2013 11:15

Am sure most of you have these but m&s have sent me loads of 20% vouchers today thru Monday, pm if you want the codes, nothing I want from there at the mo.
Does anyone have any idea when the following sales start: cos, hush, NaP?? Am waiting now and feeling impatient!

foxysocks · 12/12/2013 11:17

I want cos and hush to start soon too ruby. come onnnn.

Mignonette · 12/12/2013 11:17

Thanks Foxy.

So...
I've had a headache for the past 2 weeks and put it down to stress or getting a cold.
But I woke up yesterday and I keep going dizzy.
Just been to the docs and I have sinusitis, labrinthitus, tinnitus and vertigo (atrocious spelling probably, sorry!)
Got some lovely tablets (2 lots) and I need my ears syringed in a week.
Lucky me! :o

Those stripe J Brands came yesterday and they're lovely but too bloody small.

I'm waiting for the Cos sale too.

The French Connection sale started today, was it Grumpy who pinned a coat?

Annianni · 12/12/2013 12:12

I'm going to knit the AWO hat Foxy, it looks an easy pattern.
Ordering the wool today.

libertychick · 12/12/2013 13:50

Poor you Anni hope you start to feel better soon. We'll have to post pins of all the knits!

Drywhiteplease · 12/12/2013 14:04

Blimey Anni that's a lot of ailments! hope you feel better very soon.

I love knitting......don't do much now, like doing it when I'm watching tv.

QueenC your house insurance may well be reduced if you have an alarm. I always put mine on at night, but if it went off I think I'd have a heart attack!

A pic of my wrist warmers. They're not as bright in RL,more of a denim blue. May give them another go

shopafrolic · 12/12/2013 14:08

Blimey Anni I get sinusitis every year without fail and it always wipes me out - I hope you feel better soon. Can definitely recommend one of those nasal saline wash gadgets. PM me if you want a link. (not really MNVish! :) )

So I had so many shopping bags by the time I got to the Dressing Room that they had to open the doors for me Xmas Blush. The lovely ladies in there were fab as always. I found a definite contender for my cream knit lovely and soft
but just bought a couple of AV basics which I have pinned. The red top is a fab fab colour for me.
No joy with sparkles though. I think after two hours present shopping I was sparkled out!
I tried another AV top on (red with zips) I can't get back into Pin to link - which I really liked but although it felt great, it was quite synthetic so the price stung too much to buy.
