We didn't link our alarm to our home insurance policy. After learning how difficult it is to get paid after our massive break in, we didn't want to be told that they wouldn't pay out the one night someone had forgotten to set the alarm or something….. But we are hyper sensitive about all this now tis true.

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 14:49

Did they say when they start their sale Shop? That knit is lovely.

The one in Celine was over £1k, timeshare anyone?

Actually no. Not cream, dangerous Grin

libertychick · 12/12/2013 15:01

Yes that could end beautiful friendships Marsha Grin

MarshaBrady · 12/12/2013 15:04

Haha Liberty. Like a Vogue constellation, each contributing a spot.

Actually I imagine most of you are very neat and should speak just for me Grin

libertychick · 12/12/2013 15:27

My DH would be the risk factor - it a fit of helpfulness he'd bung it in the washing machine and then tumble dry for good measure. Then we'd just have to agree to share it between the MNV DC's Grin

shop I tried that AV jumper a couple of weeks ago and it is lovely but the alpaca would drove me mad.

The black trousers I tried on at the same time were full of white fluff afterwards.

I have been a bit busy IRL so apologies for jumping in and out of this thread. Will try a proper catch up this weekend!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/12/2013 17:03

It seems bouquets for Zatchels, Brickbats for BrandAlley.

I would like to add Hackett to the 'Bouquets' section for customer service. I emailed them last night with the details of my multiple debits. They replied today that they have refunded both surplus payments and have suspended certain types of paypal transactions while they investigate what went wrong. In addition they have awarded me an extra 10% of DBro's sweater (already had 20% off, so bargain!). I emailed them back, praising their excellent customer service.

I think many companies are starting to get the message just how important good CS really is - all that repeat business they'll now get because of it.

Annianni · 12/12/2013 17:44

Are we talking neti pots Shop?
Definitely not mnv chat :o

I have started a hat. I had some lovely pale grey wool that's an angora/cotton mix.
Ds2 keeps doing drop kicks with my ball of wool, so I don't think it's going to be perfect.

I keep putting it in the fridge, because I'd forgotten what a pain angora is to knit!

Annianni · 12/12/2013 17:47

We have JL house insurance and an alarm.
But it's no cheaper as they only do that if you have a monitored alarm system or regular servicing on them.

Annianni · 12/12/2013 17:57

And I've just seen the angora thread... Oh dear!

Drywhiteplease · 12/12/2013 19:38

Hehe...have just found a great way to get rid of my teens......play my Christmas cd and sing really loudly Xmas Grin " guys, doesn't this make you feel soooo Christmassy ?" Dcs Xmas Hmm Xmas Hmm

Mignonette · 12/12/2013 19:55

Good evening everybody -

Whats happening with the angora thread?

I HAVE A COAT!!!!!! At last. it is only by Principles but was reduced to just £69 in a soft grey, charcoal grey, palest shell pink on winter white check. So snuggly and woolly. Have put photo below but why do Debenhams produce such rubbish photo's? They are as bad as M&S for poor styling. The coat looks much better IRL and the photo makes it look shapeless.

Disaster stuck today while I was out as the sole came off my boot! I had to go to primark and buy and emergency pair of ankle boots otherwise I'd have been hopping home! I have vertigo due to an inflamed ear canal, the inflammation being caused by a pesky spot just at the start of the canal. Have been wisely instructed to keep my finger out of my ear and leave it alone to pop naturally.

Drywhiteplease · 12/12/2013 20:02

Have I got the right thread...only 6 posts? Don't like fluffy jumpers, get up my nose, in my eyes and all over my clothes. ....runs away...............

OneLittleLady · 12/12/2013 20:07

The coat looks lovely Mig I'm glad you finally found one you like

Mignonette · 12/12/2013 20:09

Latest from brand alley. Fingers crossed.
Hi S, no problem at all, I have issued you with a full refund which will appear in your account within 3-5 days. Many thanks.

OneLittleLady · 12/12/2013 20:34

Gald they seem to have sorted your refund Shop my parcel has been f'ing 'lost' by the courier! The order for delivery was generated on monday evening but it has since disappeared

shopafrolic · 12/12/2013 20:36

Burberry sale on

shopafrolic · 12/12/2013 20:53

Top tip Linus thanks. I tried it with jeans so didn't notice the shedding...... It was lovely, but ideally I need a neck on it, and a slightly yellowy cream. There's me being all specific again.....

Turquoiseblue · 12/12/2013 23:12

Hello everyone , I keep starting posts and getting waylaid.
Marsha - I have the frames you linked earlier or ones almost the exact same (Gucci) ,love them, go for them!
Queen c - defiantly get an alarm, our new place hasn't one yet and it i gives me the right wobbles. That s scary about the recent burglaries and intimidation. Be safe.
Shame about all the brand alley stories hope everyone gets their deliveries or money back.
Amber - lucky thing.
Ruby - that bottaga bag earlier Envy
Got a lovely parka can't find it exactly but it s this brand and looks pretty like this www.zalando.co.uk/khujo-claire-parka-grey-kh121h01d-801.htmlhere
Mig what skirt are you talking about earlier ? Am looking for a nice one.

Foxy - India! Sounds lovely.

MarshaBrady · 13/12/2013 09:09

Thanks Turq! I couldn't see your page. It loads but can't be found.

outnet Gracie should be here today. Also realised I should have got a smaller size in the grey skinnies, but I couldn't be bother to exchange whoops.

MarshaBrady · 13/12/2013 10:14

Has arrived. Haven't tried on but live the red knit, sunnies are hilarious but might keep for garden. Not sure on the bag. Too ladylike for me, will post later for hard line opinions on that one. I could be mostly tempted by the reduction.

libertychick · 13/12/2013 10:50

Marsha if you don't want the bag I'll buy it off you Smile

I'll start a new thread....
