Of course, I read your post too quickly...I thought you meant in 3 weeks time!

sotiredfornow · 29/01/2014 20:28

Hopefully - I just consulted my book and my ** colours are things like dark olive, orange, dark brown, kingfisher, forest green, coffee, brick red and geranium red so really not likely to be seen about much! Like you say I guess Orange will pop up a bit. I'm going back for a style day soon so will ask my consultant about it.

Snowdown · 30/01/2014 07:21

This? hopefully not pure silk though.

ToffeeWhirl · 30/01/2014 11:48

now, save for Spring' at John Lewis. (There's an orange silk shirt here, Hopefully. Not sure if it's your style, of course). Might help you in your search for Summer clothes as well, sotired. Lots of seasonal reductions on autumn / winter stuff too.

Have to send my green jeans back. Too small Sad.

ToffeeWhirl · 30/01/2014 11:50

Second attempt at link here.

ToffeeWhirl · 30/01/2014 15:05

The yellow cardigan is too bright on me Sad. Will have to go back. Maybe I need to stop ordering online and go shopping in RL one day.

Snowdown · 30/01/2014 22:39

Autumn? Cos has some purple in that might appeal, a couple of dresses and tops. Lots of orange too.

Hopefully · 31/01/2014 06:43

Cos skirt is lovely, but definitely summer IMO.

Loving the shirt links, but all too pretty for me, sadly. I need plain and simple and sharp (not blouse) collars - my personal style is Natural Dramatic, which generally doesn't get on well with anything remotely floral/feminine/pretty. I love knowing why I look so terminally frumpy in anything girly!

Snowdown · 31/01/2014 07:22

Prints are a nightmare and I want one and I don't want a floral thing, I need impact. Not sure what kind of dramatic I am...but definitely not classic or romantic.

silk summer dress this one also comes in a burnt orange shade. The neck is too high for me though.

Snowdown · 31/01/2014 07:31

Hoping these shoes are petrol blue

sotiredfornow · 06/02/2014 10:28

Hopefully - as a consultant can I ask a question? Or maybe someone else can help.

Kingfisher is one of my best colours. To me this looks very similar to Teal. I see a lot of clothes online described as Teal which look correct to me. What do you think? E.g See this coat - www.landsend.co.uk/Womens_Luxe_Wool_Walker_Coat/pp/P_27392.html

Do you think that would work for me as a dark blue/vibrant autumn?

Also, navy is * for me so 75%. This would work for a coat too, right? But maybe add a scarf in a 100% colour?

Thanks in advance!!

ToffeeWhirl · 06/02/2014 11:53

I was told here that teal is the same as kingfisher, sotired, and I buy lots in teal. That coat looks lovely.

Hopefully · 06/02/2014 14:56

Sotired yup, kingfisher is what we call teal, basically. You're unlikely to ever go wrong with anything in the teal family, tbh, unless it's really really really bright. Even our navy is basically dark teal, not navy. That coat looks fab, great colour.

jennimoo · 06/02/2014 16:31

That's really helpful, hopefully.

Snowdown · 06/02/2014 17:42

Ohbugger I got the petrol blue pumps - I would say the sizing is pretty spot on. I am shy of a 7 and that's how they feel - but the elastic holds them in place - mind you the leather is so soft, you could downsize too!

Got this shirt in M&S, it runs slightly small but it's brilliantly soft and flattering - and it's selling out quick!

ToffeeWhirl · 06/02/2014 17:46

Did you get it in cream, Snow? If I wore that, I'd just look washed out Sad.

Snowdown · 06/02/2014 18:05

Yes, cream looks fine, I liked white on myself before having my colours done - and so did everyone else! so the pale cream works fine....I need some light relief....being a vibrant autumn all my colours are very intense. No doubt there will be a scarf or some gold bling layering to pimp it up a bit.

Snowdown · 06/02/2014 18:14

Have ordered these coral heels. Hogl have so far been the only brand I've tried that doesn't feel like wearing razor blades but they were the wrong colour. I just need to be able to walk to the loos in them, it's not too much to ask is it?

sotiredfornow · 06/02/2014 20:18

Hopefully - thank you so much. It's such a learning curve but think I'm really getting there. What a life changing experience it's been! Can't wait for the Style Day now.

I'm attracted

Hopefully · 07/02/2014 07:00

I am keeping fingers crossed that the new Hush season will have a few autumn colours so I can stock up on some loungewear for post natal period.

Also quite tempted by these sneakers

sotiredfornow · 07/02/2014 21:38

oops - no idea why my post cut off before.

Anyone seen a good scarf for us?? - printed or plain, I'm not bothered. Desperately need something to tide me over the next few months as I just ruined my fave scarf in the wash :(

Whitecat · 07/02/2014 22:06

What kind of scarf are you after sotired? A substantial knitty type or a billowy finer type?

Snowdown · 08/02/2014 07:19

Hobbs have an absolutely beautiful scarf in teal, it's new season and I can't find a link online. Friend bought it, so I didn't but I might go back and get it. Think it was around £40 but the print was interesting and something a bit different for the usual stuff that's going around, so I think you'd love it long time! Actually hobbs NW3 was looking very hopeful for autumns - beautiful silk t shirt in teal, it was dry clean only though.

sotiredfornow · 08/02/2014 07:45

Thanks for the tip snowdon. I'll keep my eye out for it. Hopefully it'll appear online soon :)
