A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

Really shop? I wore my Rosemunde vest with a cashmere v neck yesterday and thought it looked ok! Maybe I'm deluded? :)

shopafrolic · 19/09/2013 08:41

I think it's the colours and the shape of the jumper Amber the knit is quite boxy. Not sure. Perhaps I'm having an off day :)

Ooh... is Squinney someone who could dish the dirt on Marsha? :o

BrandyAlexander · 19/09/2013 09:12

Shop, the ladies in my team are super glam. The junior ones say they all love working in a team where the female leaders aren't afraid to display their femininity. Its great because the range goes from high street to designer and everyone looks stunning. i kept going into Oasis this year because there is a girl in my team who buys a lot from there and looks stunning. A new handbag, jewelry or shoes is in our event in my teamGrin. The boys can spot a new handbag quicker than the girls and there is much consulting at Christmas timeGrin. My friend (bare legged yesterday) has a jewelry collection to die for and amazing style. when I guiltily told her about the 3 new handbags I bought earlier this year, she was clutching one of her 2 new Pradas and a Chloe.Grin

I had a compliment at the school gate today on my coat. It's the orange trench coat from banana republic, over an Armani navy dress and fenn wright Manson navy jacket. I am clutching my Chloe Marcie which is pink but doesn't look too weird with the orange! (I think).

BrandyAlexander · 19/09/2013 09:13

Hello Squinney! Are you 8 foot tall too?!EnvyGrin

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2013 09:20

Hehe thanks Squinney. Anni haha squinney is my little sister, who has the most gorgeous dd, whom I yet to meet (sob!). Maybe at Christmas. We found out each other's names recently.

No dirt of course, am squeaky clean. Wink Grin

Thanks for encouragement, on being ok to list. Wearing new outfit today. Only thing is dh isn't keen on the boots. Shock. Boo to him. Can't take them back now!

Am on way for morning coffee, will try and catch up properly this afternoon.

AmberNectarine · 19/09/2013 09:33

Ah mine was slouchy but fitted (if that is even possible) and the greys were the same.

Right MNV opinions sought - what shall I wear tonight? Party is on a boat, smart-casual, work event. Obviously the shoes need to feature. Would my Jimmy Choo zebra clutch be too much with them? Jeans or leather skinnies?

shopafrolic · 19/09/2013 09:34

You can always give the boots to me Marsha x

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2013 09:38

Thank god for you all Shop! Glad you like them. He's putting a downer on my boot high.

Amber loved those new Zebra heels. Black outfit?

Sleepwhenidie · 19/09/2013 09:43

I think leather and yes clutch probably too much with shoes Amber - unless it's on a gorgeous yacht (rather than a Thames party boat Wink - in which case you will be forced to remove the lovely shoes - unlike Beyonce, did you see those pics btw Shock

Anyone going to Gap, I noticed a great little jersey biker in there the other day, very cute.

Novice I love pink and orange even more than pink with red. Sounds gorgeous.

Sleepwhenidie · 19/09/2013 09:44

I have a question too, next week I am going to an 'artisanal wine tasting' evening at the Connaught...just what does one wear to such an event Confused?

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2013 09:58

Sleep not sure, something chic, lovely Marant jacket. sounds fabulous.

Novice love pink and orange too.

Amber same as Sleep nay to clutch.

I just saw a velvet covered Porsche outside Harrods. Own up whose is it? Grin

shopafrolic · 19/09/2013 10:01

Yup Amber leather skinnies, shoes and a different bag to avoid zebra overkill. Simple top and blazer? Sounds fun!
Sleep simple dress and heels or your fab suede leggings? Depends who's hosting. Is it a corporate do?

Pin photo... you know where...
Opinions please!

QueenCadbury · 19/09/2013 10:12

Ouch ouch ouch. I somehow managed to fall splat onto the buggy walking home from school/nursery so luckily it was empty but I now have a very grazed knee. And I'm about to jump in the shower so expect to hear me wailing like a baby Grin. No idea how I managed to trip except that dd has been awake since 4.30 so I'm rather tired.

amber I'd let the shoes do the talking and keep the outfit simple unless you're one if these people that can effortlessly combine patterns and look really cool?

I've got the gap cords in navy. Haven't worn them yet though although might put them on today.

sleep no idea what to wear but can I come?

For dry

Going to pick up my boots today and then have my Marie curie volunteer training this afternoon.

Annianni · 19/09/2013 10:12

Another vote for leather skinnys with shoes, plain bag and top Amber.

I've tried that jacket Sleep, it's nice but big size wise.
Ds2 was emptying the contents of my bag in the changing rooms, so I didn't hang about to try a smaller size.

Annianni · 19/09/2013 10:14

Stupid phone...

Hope you're ok Queenc.

santamarianovella · 19/09/2013 10:22

amber I would avoid the zebra overkill too,
sleep I agree with with shop suggestions.
marsha men always do that!, ignore him, your boots are beyond fab.
shop enjoy your facial and massage you deserve it,
novice your outfit does sound fab,
squinny I know the time difference is a killer but do stay!,it would be nice to have another lovely and sweet member of the marsha family around!

Had the most difficult time with my dd this morning, kept crying on the SR and saying I want my brother,it was all very dramatic !she misses him a lot these days.

LinusDKD · 19/09/2013 10:54

santa poor DD! I hope she settles soon. Any change in their life or routine is hard in the beginning.

amber I agree with making the shoes the focal point of your outfit.

sleep what about some cashmere? Maybe a cashmere dress with killer heels like amber's or killer boots like marsha's?

shop very Envy about facial and massage! Enjoy!

(Which reminds me of the vouchers DH gave me last Christmas for two massages at a very posh hotel nearby. I'd better book them before the vouchers are invalid by the end of the year)

marsha I bet your DH doesn't like them because they're flat! My DH only likes my high heeled shoes and boots. Hmm

Waves to squinny! My DSis is one of your compatriots and she only saw my DD a couple of weeks ago for the first time when she was 10 months old!

LinusDKD · 19/09/2013 11:16

queenc ouch! I hope it didn't sting too much in the shower!

shopafrolic · 19/09/2013 12:24

QueenC ouch - hope it's not too sore. Never known a thread like it for injuries ATM!
I love having a friend who's a beautician! She gave me a quick blast of microdermabrasion too while I was there. Skin is lovely and soft. No make up for the rest of the day though Hmm
Linus get it booked! Are you crazy? :)
Anni when I said twins I meant from the bottom down - distressed jeans and boots. Looks great
