A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

Queen I will. shall I make them private or public? And shall I group the trend titles all on one board? Then pinners can label their pin as to which it is? Or would separate be better?

Help....

Ooh Mom I've got a candy apple red KitchenAid too. I loves it Grin. I think it does make better cakes than when I was doing it by hand. I let DD come with me to have a say in the colour, as I figure it'll be hers eventually (she was 4 when we bought it, now 8. A while to go yet Grin).

I miss my work social life too shop, we have a Xmas meal, but there are only 4 of us, so just go to a local gastropub normally.

Blooming PTA. Just had AGM. As an accountant, I'm happy to stay as Treasurer until the kids leave school, but no-one would step up to do a named role (Chair and Sec required). I'm now also named Chair as we need one legally. Fuming that no-one else will step up, and will be laying it thick at next meeting. They'd be screwed if I stepped down as Treasurer as well, no-one ever wants to do that, it's less popular than Chair! Hey ho, will go on recruitment drive in all my spare time [hollow laugh].

carrie no way, that's far too much work! Surely someone can take on something from you. Isn't there anyone who can share the chair role?

mig you could invite a few people to pin like we did with colour combos and modern classics? My preference would be a board per trend...

mom your life sounds glam. No Christmas parties to go to although often friends/neighbours will have something low key but not something that requires dressing up as such. I loved the mk dress that Kiera wore the other day. Will find a picture.

I'll get to work on it Queen although it might be tomorrow as have three things on the go at the moment- MN, TV, newspaper.

Need to have my brain working to do it I think.

Thank you for my boots Shop. They are very 'Love Story' Hip/Preppy. I can see Ali McGraw in them too.

Carrie I sense with these PTA things that once you're sucked in, you can never leave.......... I hope you find someone to take the chair role off your hands.

Mom vanishing to Paris for a night is a superb idea - must get to work on DH Grin - he should do it too actually!
I am over my sulking, just have a moment every so often...did a lunchtime yoga class today and it was great.

Foxy poor you Sad and your poor DS. He will heal so fast but it's horrible to see your child in pain.

Marsha the Stella coat Linus pinned looks like it was made for especially for you. Excellent choice Linus and love the sound of your yellow nano with the navy - I am sure you looked great.

Grumpy clicking on your links is really dangerous, making me want so many things but I am staying resolute in my mission not to buy anything until I have sorted out a coat. Well done Carrie on resisting new boots.

Interesting article MrsR I do wonder how creativity can continue to thrive when everything has to be so instantaneous nowadays. No time to be a tortured soul, I need to tweet / Instagram..... I love, as a member of the plain old British public, being able to see the theatre of some of the big shows. What I dislike now though is there is no clear cut off between seasons instore. And there are what feel like continual sales, where nothing is actually a great bargain.

Can you talk me out of that coat please?
I have no money, DH has gone to bed early. I am sitting bored on the sofa and lusting after it. Must not reach for credit card.

Very interesting mrsR. I remember the excitement of getting magazines and seeing new stuff in store twice a year. Now I wonder how fashion magazines survive as by time they're printed everything's been on social media or blogged.

Aw, Keira looks so pretty.

Don't worry on PTA, it's Chair by name ONLY (which I will be making VERY clear at next meeting). I'm ruthless, if people start mumbling into their wine glasses, I will just pick on them randomly to do tasks. They'll be shamed into volunteering [evil cackle].

Loving the idea of a jaunt to Paris. H and I have just been discussing weekends to see if we can fit a family weekend to Centerparcs this autumn. It's looking tricky.

Hello all! Lost a very long thread!

foxy hope your ds is ok

mom way ahead of you went today for a look around, I'm liking some of Valentino red dresses.

Who else will be doing the shop look? AKA Scandi look, also herehere

I love the Vanessa Bruno chunky sweater as I'm not very tall and a bigger sweater will just swallow me! Just need new ripped jeans!
