HoC Autumns

Thought I'd start a thread for autumns as the spring and winters threads seem busy and I feel I'm missing out!

I'm an autumn leaf and going for the style day soon. I haven't bought much this year as only had colours done a couple of months ago and waiting to discover my style before spending. I have been decluttering my wardrobe quite ruthlessly as I had a lot of the wrong colours/tatty clothes.

I did buy some Kettlewell tops and have had a few compliments so I certainly believe that colour analysis works.

Unfortunately my autumn/winter coats are black but expensive so I won't be replacing them for at least a couple of years.

Any suggestions for colourful hats/scarves/gloves to lift the black? High street brands please as I can't get parcels delivered to home.

The tomato red cardigan in tesco is now reduced to £7 for anyone that still wants one.

charitygirl · 25/10/2013 22:27

hopefully! Ludicrously cheap tartan maternity skirt! Colours are...a maybe.

And the TS legging are back in stock - only in a 14 but that would give you bump room? TARTAN KLAXON!

Hopefully · 26/10/2013 09:59

Thanks Charity! Have ordered the leggings, will see how they cope with the bump. Think the skirt is too Summer.

I'm about to order some Celtic Sheepskin slippers in mocha. Does anyone have any codes? Can't find any online, but know there are often ones kicking about.

They're pretty pricey for a pair of slippers, but I wear slippers more than any other type of footwear. My rock n' roll lifestyle.

Love those teal trousers hopasholic. I'm a 10L, and sadly they are completely sold out. I'm a bit of a sucker for velvet, but do worry about verging into Christmas elf territory.

Woolovers have some lovely silk/cotton jumpers but not in those colours. I'm a leaf autumn and their grass green and marine green suit me also their khaki and brown marl. I'm looking for a teal jumper with similar requirements so if you see anything please let me know!

Hopasholic · 26/10/2013 18:47

queen keep checking the site, you may fall lucky like I did.

Potted, Rockmummy is right re wool overs, but you just have to get over the fact their website looks like something from the back of a Sunday supplement Grin. I got a really nice cotton teal cardi in the sale.

Got a nice moss green top from mint velvet today. Link to follow...

QueenofWhatever · 26/10/2013 19:18

Nice top from Mint Velvet. I've ordered the Celtic Sheepskin slippers with the code JDGB2, which gave me 20% off.

GeorginaWorsley · 26/10/2013 21:31

My best colours are chocolate brown, teal, olive green and burnt orange.

Just bought this bag before the mid-season sale ends tonight. Looks just right and I love the style but am always ready to return!

Glad you got the leggings Hopefully - I am so impressed with how thick they are - definitely don't feel like glorified tights.

Those looking for jumpers - you have tried Uniqlo I hope? Sure I saw a teal jumper in there and they often have a perfect grass green.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 27/10/2013 13:49

Ladies - I'm a vibrant autumn and have my eye on a burgundy leather skirt. Could anyone help me with what colour to wear on my feet and legs (and on the top as well, for that matter). Or should I just hold out for a brown one??

NickECave · 27/10/2013 18:23

I am a soft autumn - I look best in mushroom, coral and light olive but I have always been drawn to the more vibrant shades. I lust after bright oranges, poppy and peacock! Is anyone else a soft who wishes they suited brighter colours? I'm 39 now and used to be able to wear the brighter autumn colours but as I get older I feel like the clothes are wearing me if they're too bright.

CuriosityCola · 27/10/2013 18:46

Had a wander round the shops today and Zara had some nice items. Lovely chocolate coloured skinny trousers, but not in my size unfortunately.

GeorginaWorsley · 27/10/2013 19:57

Doubt I'd get into Zara skinny trousers,unfortunately,and I'm only a 12!

CuriosityCola · 27/10/2013 20:33

I'm a size 12 too. I absolutely love the style, colour and fabrics in Zara, but the clothes are tiny. The large sizes always sell out fast which I think is quite telling. I did buy a jacket for the winter ahead. Must find some links...
