It's this shop.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 29/07/2013 15:35

I think I've convinced myself to get the Ted Baker Skirt. I've made an ideas board for full skirt looks on Pinterest.

What do you all think?

AmberNectarine · 29/07/2013 15:53

Boden pink desert boots arrived and are amazing. Looking forward to the cooler weather now!!

I was co-sleeping Anni, we have a double mattress in DD's room, crack-den style. She has started going through till c.4am now though, so I'm not spending as much time in with her, which has been nice.

I love that skirt paris - I really like a full skirt with a fine, slouchy knit.

Drywhiteplease · 29/07/2013 16:24

On phone so forgive weird typos,
Novice....being married is not always straightforward...... Glad to hear you've talked though, time or lack of it is a big problem. Lovely that your DH has noticed , and appreciated, your new clothes. Good try on the bling.... Look fwd to seeing Xmas pressie!

Drywhiteplease · 29/07/2013 16:33

Hadn't finished!!
Paris and Mignonette...... Love the Ted Baker skirt and agree that full below the knee skirt, fitted top is a lovely silhouette. Like the Dior new look 1950s which I adore . Love how you got stuck in the skirt.... Did you manage to get out of it in the end?Grin
Linus...."bag fate" you were obv destined to have it!
QueenC... I need more coloured belts . Have a look at Shop's pin board, somewhere there's a great pin on ways to toe a skinny belt which I use a lot (thank you shop)

Well, I have visitors arriving tomorrow for 4(!!!) days. Managed to get to the supermarket.... But then started watching "Game of Thrones" series 1 with DS..... As a results house is a tip! But sod it... We did some bonding ...... Dcs will have to do the hoovering tomorrow morning .... Will just sprayr Sheen to make house ell as if I've dusted!Grin

shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 17:58

You're welcome Dry :)

Hat with neon band

OneLittleLady · 29/07/2013 18:08

Well, I thought I was looking pretty fab today right up until I got caught in a massive thunderstorm and was subsequently soaked to the skin. My outfit was, until the rain, mid blue 7/8ths skinnies, a neon pink leather belt, David Bowie print oversize sleeveless tee with a black bandau top underneath and bright pink sandals. I'm now in DP's shorts and a nija turtles tee Grin

shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 18:10

Most of that thread is a pisstake Santa (until towards the end......) :(

Drywhiteplease · 29/07/2013 18:19

Nottingham/Milan shop ! Grin
Bit like Linus saying Gigis all over NY...I'm thinking NY/ my little northern town!!!Grin
V interested in A line skirts in bright colours for A/W Paris and a floral pencil skirt...will look at your pins.

santamarianovella · 29/07/2013 18:23

shop, but it made you Grin, amber and a few others summed it up nicely,i personally like to wait and see what people are wearing in fashion weeks, they are the ones in the knowledge, and they can take some really wacky trend and tone it down a bit, and present more wearable styles.have a look at NAP and MATCHES,their styling is always spot on, magazines are useless now days i think!

shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 18:30

belt stuff on here

shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 18:34

I used a sample of this REN mask this morning and it's really great. Skin is soft and glowy. V impressive.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 18:41

Anni can you post pics once the graffiti is done? It sounds fab.

OP posts:
Annianni · 29/07/2013 18:56

:o no chance Shop... sorry!

I thought he just wanted his name, but he's asked for the New York skyline graffiti style!?!

I used to be able to draw... a long time ago... so it should be fun.

Originally he wanted NY skyline wallpaper, but that wouldn't have worked with the sloping roof.

It's not the tippi Santa, it's the cashmere boyfriend sweater.
I think the tippi does come in the same neon azalea though.

Annianni · 29/07/2013 19:03

Just realised I said i'd decorated ds2's room, it's ds1 whose room I've just done...

Ds2 is a bit young for graffiti yet :o

shopafrolic · 29/07/2013 19:25

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 29/07/2013 20:02

Wow, that graffiti is very cool.

Amber If we trust the BBC weather forecast you may get to wear those boots pretty soon!

Dry I had to wiggle the skirt, top still in zip, over my head whilst still in the changing rooms. When I got home I freed the top from the zip but, sadly, the top didn't make it Sad.

Game of thrones is fab isn't it?!

Love the Van Cleef pendant Santa. If you got the grey and wore them together I bet they would look so lovely.

Yes Shop Nottingham, not Milan. Living the dream, that's me! Grin. Gorge hat BTW. I always want one for holidays but they end up getting squashed in the car/plane on the way there!

One your pre storm outfit does sound amazing and I have been totally in love with David Bowie for as long as I can remember. I do like Ninja Turtles too though!

Saw this amazing dress and thought I had found my A/W going out holy grail but it's plus size only! WAAAAAAHHH Sad

Drywhiteplease · 29/07/2013 20:18

Paris sorry about the top, great story though!
G of Thrones is great, but a bit blue.....feeling like embarrassed mum! DS driving me nuts with running commentary (has read all the books and obv thinks I'm a bit slow!)
Shop I love that board of yours and I share your Dyson joy, love watching the see through bit filling up...saddo
Amber looking forward to seeing your pink boots on.....love the Chloe bag on your blog

mignonette · 29/07/2013 20:28

Paris what a wonderful board- I have pillaged it...

Shop That's where I saw it. Love that hat, I do.

What am I wearing? I'm at the tail end of my clothing choices now as embarking upon ferry/long drive through France/ferry/drive through S england to get home tomorrow for Wednesday with a lay over near the port.

So I have on an ink blue sheer COS T shirt with sheer banded edging, loose neck and cap sleeves over a very pale sequin and bead embellished mid thigh skirt in art deco style patterns of primrose, cream and black (shamelessly copied from a style blog and from TopShop unique). My Marc Jacobs bargain bag and a pair of black Marni block heeled ankle strap sandals complete the look. I actually have tan legs for a change although the freckles are out with a vengeance. Everybody is so well dressed in the resort areas and we are going out on the town later so needed to dress up too.

OneLittleLady · 29/07/2013 20:38

I'm picturing myself, for A/W, in a mid length flouncy skirt, fine knit fitted top and the deep red block heeled ankle boots I've got (I'm afraid they are cheapies from New Look!) I just can't find anything like the skirt I have in my mind Sad

mignonette · 29/07/2013 20:42

One it is still early days yet-a lot of stores have been so thrown by this hot spell that they have delayed their A/W drop. Are you thinking of a bell shaped skirt?

OneLittleLady · 29/07/2013 20:45

The skirt in my head is more like an extra long tutu if you know what I mean, I have to be careful of too much material though as I have very large hips
