Afternoon ladies. I've just had a quick catch up before having a nap (late boozy night) but will look at all the links properly later/tomorrow. Off to a boozy BBQ later. I'm so glad that it's cooled down a bit.

Quick question-does anyone have a tankini? Thinking of getting one for holiday as I'm not sure about wearing a bikini in Cornwall. I've seen some lovely ones in my cup size (30f) but worried that it'll be too tight over my tummy. Also, when swimming do the tops stay down or ride up?

Report
Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2013 13:17

QC they do ride up when swimming but I figure no one will be checking out my tummy under the water. If you're worried about your tummy I'd steer clear because it can escape in the gap and that's not a good look.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that dry, good point. Maybe i'll just get a nice swimming costume as at the moment I just have a black racer style one.

Thanks for all your replies: I kept the navy one. Can't believe the discounts at me & em, got this too. But it's still quite fitted despite being a 14-16 Hmm and so I'll need to drop a couple of stone pounds.
Also ordered these last night and delivered this morning- fab asos. V comfy and think I might even get away with wearing them at work. First time I've really done the whole printed trouser thing.
V excited- v v rare night without DC2 and 3: am buying posh gin on the way home from dropping them off with GPS. Oh how to spend the time....?

Gorgeous dress LeFreak and the trousers are fab too. Have a lovely evening whatever you decide.
I have 3 sweaty men here dismantling the sleigh bed and taking it away - money in my pocket!

I ordered that dress too LeFreak and agree that it is a great bargain. I also like your jumper. Me & Em are one of my discoveries this year, thanks to this thread.
My Winser order arrived and I am keeping this dress, trousers andtop. The dress and top were in the sale, but not the trousers. Now, I must rein it in for a bit!
I hope everyone is enjoying their (slightly) cooler Saturday.

Hi topaz yes, me & em is lovely but only affordable in the sale! And yes to discovering it on this thread too. I also bought 2 of the layering tops at £10 each, silly not too. Will you wear your ruched dress to work? i know lots of people do but am unsure as its quite clingy.
I haven't heard of Winser but these clothes look lovely.

In child free house watching does my voice look famous in this or some such push, I fear it's even too low brow for me and my standards are looow...

Pish, not push.

novice, yes, I fear it is. Buy it! Everyone seems to rave about me & em dresses and I bought the cap sleeved ruched one too: Feel slightly fraudulent in them for work and will see how they work out for weekend wear too.

Hi all, love the zebra dress Liberty Smile

Apologies, it's a DM link, but I love this dress. Anyone have any idea where it's from?

QueenC a bikini in Cornwall will be perfectly fine but I'd definitely choose a stylish one piece rather than a tankini not sure I've ever seen one look good.

Novice I forgot to ask which kind of DH came home after his drinks the other night Wink? Re the house, we are mking it available to rent whenever we are on holiday. Not so much for the cash, though that is great, but for security of having the place occupied after the break in at Easter.

Hi Sleep. Oh yes, I forgot about the break in. poor you. :( Wednesday was the Ivy night, as I was drunk and passed out fell asleep when I got home, so Thursday night brought home an amorous dh fuelled with booze and memories of the orange dress and those boots.Wink boy he loves those boots! Yesterday, I was wearing warehouse cut off denim shorts (practically cut off circulation too!) and a H&M short sleeved check shirt. Really nothing special but apparently I looked hot in those too Hmm Wink. My theory is that i think it's the heat! Today the weather is cooler and his ardour has definitely cooled.Smile

LeFreak, unfortunately, lots of others must agree with us as that dress is sold out in the small. Such a great pity, great price.Envy

I have a capped sleeve Me&Em dress as well LeFreak, also bought in a sale. I've worn it to work, sometimes with a cropped jacket, sometimes with a long line belted cardigan. It gets lots of compliments! I expect to wear the grey one in the same way. I am slowly building up a wardrobe of better quality clothes, mainly bought in sales, and it does mean I am usually happy with what I'm wearing. MNV has been a great help to me, so thank you all Thanks.

That is a lovely dress sleep - unfortunately I don't know where it might be from, but as Abbey Crouch is wearing it, I'm guessing v high end and mucho ££££.

Did you clock the luscious Christy Turlington on the Calvin klein ad on the side bay of that link? Still looks scorchio at 44, but then she's always been a classic beauty. Envy

amber I NEED a huge favour please. If you're ever near an uniqlo please could you see if they have this cardigan and whether it's a good match for the emerald swatch in our wallet. No worries if not as I may just order it or wait till I'm in London. I've wanted an emerald carigan for what feels like forever ( since April!). Thank you!

Hello everyone else! Just been doing a quick bit if browsing but off to bed now.

sleep that dress is lovely. Is she up north? If so it could be from cricket (or is that where Coleen shops?)
