santa we've done the MOMA and the Frick Collection and tomorrow we'll do the Gugenheim and the Met.

I saw those Valentino rockstuds at Bergdorf Goodman and they did look amazing, especially the red ones.

I bought a bag today. Can anyone guess which one?

It's the Nano. In bright yellow.

It is sooo beautiful but I am getting cold feet about keeping it.

I also saw the LV Sofia Coppola in the cherry red I was lusting after and whilst it is beautiful, it is even more £££££.

Oh, and the Tom Ford Jennifer is a thing of beauty but I didn't even dare ask the price.

santa I had to think of you last night as we walked past the Santamarianovella shop on our way to dinner.

We went for cocktails first and then to this lovely Italian restaurant in Nolita. The food was a very modern take on Italian food and it was absolutely yummy. The wine we had was pretty good too...

Bleurgh, jetlag and a slight hangover don't go well together.

Will try and go back to sleep now.

We're entertaining all dh's colleagues and junior team later in the week (about 25 in total). I never really enjoy it and dh has offered to buy me something to wear if it'll make me enjoy it more. I've said no as I have plenty to wear. I'm mad, right?

It's a beautiful bag linus and I'm not a fan of yellow at all.

I've lost another two pounds, I'm sure it's because I've barely been eating because of the heat so I suspect it's all going to pile back on again once the weather shifts again

liberty I only wish we were going out rather than hosting then I could definately justify the bag! No need to bank the offer as he's already been warned that I'm not buying anything now but will make up for it in London! Haven't told him yet though that I will be coming home drunk after meeting you lot .

Had some lovely girly time with dd1 earlier, painting our toe nails and trying in all my clothes and shoes. She's desperate to fit into stuff! I've handed down a couple of tops to her that had been charity shop buys in my excitement of finding stuff in my colours but actually don't work at all in my wardrobe or are 'me'. I'm better off sticking to neutral top (black, grey, white, navy) and adding colour in other ways rather than wearing coloured tops. Liberty, she adores the top tht you gave to me! Tried on the lk bennett just for the hell of it and I love it still even though I haven't worn it for ages. Any dress I buy for my birthday is going to have to be pretty good to look better than it.

Not sure why I'm stressing so much about hosting dh's team. Will post outfit choices later. Now need to cook tea and try yet again to get the cat to swallow her antibiotics. I can get the bloody tablet into her mouth but she just will not swallow it and spits it out triumphantly!

QueenCadbury try wrapping your cat in a towel to cover her paws and then push the tablet right down her throat and rub her throat gently.

Have you tried rubbing her throat queenC? that was how we got them into my cat

Linus love the Celine bag is gorgeous. Love the yellow. You lucky thing in NYC, love it there. Stayed at the Hudson Hotel last time we were there on the way to Aus. Actually I can't believe we flew round the world.

QueenC I don't blame you. Hosting sounds stressful. I like the odd party and get on well with the younger ones at dh's work. But just a party is enough.
