yes because j crew delivering to UK the final sale thing doesn't apply shreddies

rag and bone shorts going back, love them but too big and a bit too expensive to justify exchanging for a size down.

am looking at j crew chino shorts - does anyone have them?

sleep i love that - post a pic!

Annianni · 25/07/2013 08:48

Foxy, have you sent things back to J Crew?

Does anyone know if it's expensive?

libertychick · 25/07/2013 08:48

It looks a bit low cut sleep - I don't think it's too young, just potentially 'boobilicious'! Also depends on where you plan to wear it - I'd go for it on hols, beach etc but possibly not to the local playgroup. That said I am queen conservative and don't really do cleavage.

Drywhiteplease · 25/07/2013 08:52

Bloody fox!!!sleep still a great excuse to buy a new pair "a fox ate my shoe" Confused
I like the dress, with your figure and styled with flat sandals whispers Gigis could be a lovely holiday look.

Girls eventually shut up at 3.30am! Would love to wake the up banging loudly on a saucepan psycho mother from hell but I'm too nice. Luckily, unlike you with little ones, I'll be having a siesta later, before pimms in the garden with my friend this p.m

libertychick · 25/07/2013 08:52

Love my outfit today - white M&S slim cut chinos, grey Cos silk T, black Zara blazer, black ballet pumps, layered black ribbon with silver beads necklace, this braclet, silver watch.

Ok - late for a meeting - story of my life - chat later.....

foxysocks · 25/07/2013 08:58

yes I have anni - same deal as matches and NaP, organise DHL pick up and it's free

waaah at fox, sleep! hope you track down another pair, i love those ash sandals.

Annianni · 25/07/2013 09:02

I looked at the international returns bit and it said we had to pay shipping costs... I'd have ordered alsorts if I'd known it was free :o

Sleepwhenidie · 25/07/2013 09:03

Hmm seems this fox has an evil sense of humour, we have come down this morning to find somebody else's not very stylish sandal outside our back door. It is badly mauled Sad.

Will post a pic of me in the dress later this morning when I can wrench Ds1 away from minecraft. Will probably be lunchtime, after kickboxing.

foxysocks · 25/07/2013 09:16

strange anni - my j crew page always says 'free shipping and free returns' in the top left hand corner of the page. i def haven't paid to return/exchange before.

LinusDKD · 25/07/2013 09:23

Poor shop I know exactly how you feel! When DS was tiny I also accidentally drew blood when I cut his fingernails.

Now that he's older I really have to time cutting his nails well and I still use baby scissors. His fingernails he's ok-ish with but the toenails is still a bit of a struggle.

I just trim them once a week when he's in a good mood and distracted by watching tv or clips on youtube.

Cutting his hair is another matter, you would think we were trying to strangle him, he becomes absolutely hysterical. Tv, iPad, chocolate, crisps, singing etc don't make any difference

Any toddler haircutting tips welcome!

sleep what a naughty fox but at least he has excellent taste. Wink

I am currently sitting in the airport lounge waiting for our first flight and I still have a butterflies in my tummy about leaving the DC with DP.

But I am looking forward to some grown-up time with DH and some me-time as well. It's been a while...

Oh, my travel outfit is the M&E navy maxi dress (thanks dry), navy Tods ballerina flats, Boden crochet jacket, teal Tods bag and some bling.

carrie74 · 25/07/2013 09:37

Ooh, sleep what an evil fox. Your poor sandals [bawl]. I think if the dress suits you, go for it! Looks a bit short for my thighs, but current personal training sessions hopefully whittling them away [wishful thinking].

Liberty loving the sound of your outfit today, sounds effortlessly cool and chic. I'm in BR navy cigarette pants and Massimo Dutti silk shirt with cuffs rolled up, and neon orange statement necklace (H&M). Meant to wear orange ballets, but wasn't sure if they'd clash horribly with necklace and then strode out of the house wearing my white Birkies, so oops. Lesbian shoes it is Grin.

carrie74 · 25/07/2013 09:39

Linus have an amazing time. Our weekend in Lisbon was amazing, so fantastic to properly unwind, not have one ear open at all times, have a drink and no hangover because you can LIE IN! And DC will have a blast with your parents. Where are you off to again? Outfit sounds perfect, very chic.

shopafrolic · 25/07/2013 09:58

Linus have an amazing time! DS hates haircutting too but a combination of Thomas on the TV and a Farmyard Make A Scene game on the iPad usually gets us through! It helps that a hairdresser friend does it at our house too.
DS let me cut his fingernails this morning but when I asked if we could try toes again he said NO so I left it. I'm going to get him checked out as I took another look this morning and some of the nails are think and curve down back into the toe. Can't be right......
Liberty outfit sounds just perfect
Sleep your poor shoes! And a fetish fox. I'm never moving to your area there's more terrorist wildlife than in my area! Have you checked the Dressing Room website for replacements as they do Ash sandals...... not sure which ones you've lost? The dress is really pretty but I'd be worried about much cleavage would be on show.
I'm off out for dinner in Chiswick tonight with a friend. Am thinking Paige Jimmy's, cream silk shirt and new Whistles Chi Chi sandals, AH Gracie bag? Too dull?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 25/07/2013 10:03

nice yellow flats

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 25/07/2013 10:12

can see you in this Liberty or is it not a strong enough colour?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 25/07/2013 10:25

Linus have an amazing time!

Fantastic!

McNally · 25/07/2013 10:26

Outfit sounds absolutely lovely Liberty. What's the sizing like on the Cos t shirts?

Have an amazing break Linus. The DCs will be fine. Travel outfit sounds perfect.

Grrrr, poor DD not napping because of heat and the CONSTANT drilling and hammering courtesy of our neighbour's extension building. So irritating. Can't leave the house as waiting for Outnet delivery.

MarshaBrady · 25/07/2013 10:28

Sounds good Shop, chic.

Sleep your poor shoe!

Oh god my Derek Lam dress that I pinned years ago is on the outnet. I may have to do a Dry and go out.

Love this Derek Lam too.

libertychick · 25/07/2013 10:56

McNally size down on the Cos T. I am size 12 - usually a medium but got the small and it's still nicely slouchy.

Sounds like the fox was trying to make amends Sleep - hilarious but v annoying!

My white trousers are grubby already Grin ah well - I had an hour or so of looking chic...

Shop that top is lovely but I would generally go for stronger colour and I usually avoid sheer things . I LOVE those McQueen flats.

That Derek Lam is highly covetable Marsha - must look at your pin to see the one you like...

MarshaBrady · 25/07/2013 11:06

Liberty it's an asymmetric one, can't see pin and this one.

In the clearance! Still so £££ however. Feel a bit better knowing it isn't silk.

MarshaBrady · 25/07/2013 11:07

Not that I can think of anywhere to wear that dress right now anyway, would need a ball or something.

shopafrolic · 25/07/2013 12:00

So the I&I silk backed cashmere has arrived and it's a thing of beauty. Checking my colour swatch though I probably need it a tone or two darker but it still looks nice with denim if I brighten up my makeup. What do you reckon? Did anyone else want it but couldn't get it?

OP posts:
foxysocks · 25/07/2013 12:01

what size shop? the pale grey one?

shopafrolic · 25/07/2013 12:02

Oh Marsha that's tempting. I did wonder when I was browsing......
