... please tell me what size you are and what your thigh circumference is (at it's biggest part).

I am a size 14 but still my thighs rub together and in this heat it's a total pain (literally). How much further do I need to slim down to stop this?! Always been chunky of thigh but surely it's not impossible for me? Currently at 26cm each! what should I be aiming for? 25? 24? 22? 21?

What is a 'shapely' thigh though?
Like what does this actually look like to the naked eye?

A shapely thigh has a lovely line up the side, showing muscle definition? I've leg-pressed 75kgs for mine!

22", size 12, 6 ft. Huge gap between my thighs lol. They used to rub together when I was a chunkier adolescent...size 16?

size 14, 11st1, huuuuge thunder thighs, but have never had rubbing/chafing. there is a gap between them most of the way down due to massively wide hips though, so i reckon it's more about shape than size.

5 foot 3 and a 12. My thighs measure 21 inches and don't rub together.

5"10, size 10 on top 12 on bottom. I only have a 32" inside leg considering my height! Widest point of my thighs is 22.5". I used to be 14 stone and my legs would chafe like crazy. I'm now 10 stone 10, I do lots of exercise and walking and they seem to be getting a lot better, but they're never going to be super toned and slim. It's just how I am. My mum has the opposite problem legs like toothpicks but all her weight goes to her stomach.

Eek am 5ft2 to 3 size 8 and my thighs are 20.5" at their widest and do touch. I have always hated my thighs and knees though.

I have always had this problem as a child. I just use something like this to wear under my skirts in hot weather, which is my personal preference. However, I know others who use baby powder/talc and say that helps.

I am a size 12 and 5'8" and just over 10st and mine do not rub together, but I don't really have a gap between my legs. I have to be about 9st before I have a gap between my legs!

I'm a size 18 and don't getting chafing thighs but I've still got quite slim shapely legs so maybe I've got narrowish hips for my size. I am an apple shape and have the requisite large tum that makes me look like a darts player instead.

Hmm, I'm 5 ft 4, size 10 and weigh about 9.5 stone and my thighs are fine. They're about 20cms I think.

I'm a size 10 and thighs still rub together! Its just my shape. I don't have a tape measure handy at the moment but my measurements are 34-26-41(!) if that helps you at all.

So does shapely mean a thigh that gets wider at the top? Like both on the inside and outer edge? (please say yes!).

I mean, even Alexa Chung's thighs widen at the top. She very very very rarely wears clothes that show this though. I have a bit of Chung thing going on, but much shorter. My legs and arms are really pin like until the very top, when shit starts to happen!

Phew, just read the thread a little more closely and there seem to be a few of us with "muscular" thighs! This is why skinnies never fit me.

Ahem not so BigTilly I think you'll find I have the biggest thighs here coming in at a whopping 26 inches.

Toasted yes slimmer at the knee than at the top rather than say, in my case, 26 inches all the way down
