That is I think they may have been cotton not linen.

Anni your jeans collection is impressive Grin.

Annianni · 18/07/2013 12:52

Thanks Marsha

Does anyone else have leg envy, after seeing Shop's photo? Envy :o

QueenCadbury · 18/07/2013 12:55

dry I think linen can look really chic. I just hate the way it doubles in size as you're wearing it so that your trousers fall down.

novice yep, that certainly is a good feeling. Dh had that look on his face this morning as I got in the shower. That dieting and exercise has paid off Wink.

grumpy eyelashes do fade. I wish they didn't as I adore mine when they've just been done.

shop both sandals are nice. Which have you decided to keep?

marsha send both back. The cashmere is sure to get a hole in which will piss you off and you'll probably be paranoid about your bum in the jeans.

Have I missed anyone...?

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 12:56

Sorry Dry meant to reply re: linen - i know they're cool (temp wise) but I do think they look crumpled too quickly. I'd rather waft around in something thinner and printed like these

QueenC the two pics are of the same sandals.......

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 12:57

Thanks Anni Blush but note that I stopped at the calves Grin

Anni did you see the black and yellow?

OP posts:
QueenCadbury · 18/07/2013 13:01

Grin at myself. shop now you've said that and I've relooked it's totally obvious they are! Sorry, I'm skim reading whilst shovelling soup down my mouth thinking of all the jobs that need to be done whilst dd is asleep. But yes, nice sandals, keep them.

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 13:08

No worries QueenC I've got two hours of ironing ahead of me while DS naps - I've been putting it off for ages......
Right - the sandals are keepers - thanks for the feedback you lovely lot. I quite like being able to put a pic up and get feedback! Like having a very honest friend in the dressing with you - and I actually think you lot are probably more honest than a lot of my mates!

Annianni · 18/07/2013 13:25

Ooh they're pretty Shop

I need a 6 or 7 in the chi chi's, yellow's oos too.
AR have a blue/black 6 but they're more expensive.

LinusDKD · 18/07/2013 13:36

Right, a high heel dilemma for you MNVoguettes.

I am allowing myself to take only one pair of high heels on holiday as I will only wear them when going to dinner in NY and maybe going to dinner on holiday when (hopefully) the grandparents offer to babysit.

The contenders are:

A black satin court shoe (very open toe) I bought years ago in Hobbs. They are very comfy but maybe a bit boring and a tiny bit worn

My wedding shoes: a matte gold strappy sandal by J.Choo

The shoes I wore at my sisters wedding: a silver/grey satin slingback by J.Choo (question:how do you make sure the strap stays put on your heel?)

My python Louboutins

Black patent leather court shoe by Bally (if I can remember where I put them)

I'm not sure any of these shoes excite me to be honest, but I think I should take one pair of heels on holiday.

Drywhiteplease · 18/07/2013 13:57

linus it all depends what you are putting them with and the weather....assuming its going to be hot I'd go for the gold J Choos as they will go with a lot more and look summery.

shop the sandals look fine to me. I am currently wearing the same colour on my toes, goes with everything.

Well I decided against baggy bum, faded and frumpy linen trs, they're in the bin infact in case I'm ever tempted!!!
Now wearing my bf Gap shorts and halter neck, feeling cool.

Annianni · 18/07/2013 14:14

I agree with Dry Linus... take the strappy ones.
And buy new ones when you get there :o

Annianni · 18/07/2013 14:22

I'm wearing a new grey/neon coral stripe knee length skirt from Gap. It's tshirt fabric and lovely and cool.
Not very stylish but i'm hot and not going anywhere except school later.

Also got it in pale grey with white stripe.
They're £20 and I used a 20% code, so cheap enough for just very occasional Summer wear.

Gap have 25% off today too.

Annianni · 18/07/2013 14:26

Bloody school have just text, reminding parents about the cake sale tomorrow at school.
I haven't had a letter about it... and I'm not about to start making bloody cakes in this weather.
My kitchen's south facing and like an oven as it is, without putting the bloody oven on...

Rant over... :o

foxysocks · 18/07/2013 14:42

urrrrrrgggghhhh

i just had to 'do a marsha' with some work stuff and now I feel like crap.

a lead came up at the weekend after some contract work I did at the start of the year. I said I was interested and would take a look. they sent some stuff over this morning and omg, NOT what I was expecting. was making my head spin and i was getting that sick/panicked feeling. called DH, he said just call them, explain not right, but I was feeling all guilty re: the money

anyway. just plucked up courage and emailed them. AWFUL.

lighter news - I ordered the fabby sandals on WIBT - the yellow/zebra ones - and they have already been dispatched wooo.

and the bikini is fab, had it on all day, feels v comfortable and supportive despite being pretty skimpy. thumbs up to melissa odabash the woman is a genius.

must go and lie down in darkened room to get over stress and tears of today. will come back later and respond/check links.

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 14:51

Anni call AR and ask them to price match?
Foxy hugs. I had to do the same some time back, just horrible.
Linus what will you be wearing?
Ironing done. I am a mess!

foxysocks · 18/07/2013 14:55

i feel like a failure shop. they were offering much less than I earn following my true love/vocation but still, maybe I could have sucked it up and made it work somehow? but i looked over it so many times last night/this morning and every single time made me feel sick not excited. sob. off to cry a bit more.

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 15:03

Foxy no sobbing, stand by your decision and walk tall. Something better will happen I guarantee it. DH sounds supportive? I can't make any work work at the moment as I don't have options with childcare so SAHM for me full time! A least you have your true passion to keep you occupied. Chin up chicken. Xx

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 18/07/2013 15:45

Foxy oh lovely, I know what you mean about the reaction, absolutely! You did the right thing although it feels awful at the time. And I know how good you are at the stuff you love doing, also something else will come up that is right. Big hug.

Drywhiteplease · 18/07/2013 16:13

Foxy you did the right thing, honestly. All I can say is that I am a great believer in things working out right in the end and also in following your gut feeling. Tomorrow's another day.....And,hey, you might be feeling crappy right now, but at least you're feeling crappy whilst rocking a MO bikini Grin

Gigi news.....NO GIGIS!
DS has ordered some converse, hoping they'll be here today in time for impress the girls dress down day tomorrow......he'll be joining me shortly in having a foot stamping with frustration moment too!

Out tomorrow evening for cocktail making class piss up Linus I'm planning on requesting a White Lady. Am thinking black fitted shift dress with racer back and gold exposed zip, gold statement necklace and gold Gigis (if they arrive)....want to dress it down a bit. Don't feel like heels or skinny jeans.

Drywhiteplease · 18/07/2013 16:16

If my Gigis don't arrive Novice can I borrow your outfit? Grin

shopafrolic · 18/07/2013 16:23

How tall are you Dry? If the dress is short on Novice I wouldn't recommend it! Grin Cocktails sound fun, lack of Gigis sounds rubbish.
Foxy hope I sounded positive rather than tough - sending more hugs xx

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 18/07/2013 16:26

5 ft 3 (just).........loved Mr Novice's reaction! Smile
