I have short, stumpy but big and curvy legs MrsR they are very muscular, the only flabby bit of them is right at the top of my thighs and I wouldn't wear anything that short anyway!

MrsRadicchio · 17/07/2013 15:23

love this

Your legs sound fine One!

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 15:26

oooh, that skirt is fab mrsR

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 16:02

mrsR thought you weren't meant to be buying anything until you had your colours done Wink. Grey boots are really hard to find do go for it if you like them. What season do you think you are? Any ideas?

Sleepwhenidie · 17/07/2013 18:50

Curse you mrsR that skirt is lovely (have been tempted by the dress version in grey in - I think - MW sale) but that could be more versatile...I wasn't go to buy anything else! Sits on hands....

Happy birthday Liberty

Linus thanks for the card Wink

santamarianovella · 17/07/2013 19:06

well,i went to have a look at queen/one thread, and got distracted by the hot boss thread! Grin, felt sorry for all the babies that where neglected ,work that was put on hold, and basically everyone that stayed late, and got up early to read any updates!

welcome back liberty,and happy birthday!,

BrandyAlexander · 17/07/2013 19:25

this dress is very short!

Drywhiteplease · 17/07/2013 20:15

Ooh novice WORK IT!!!!!!!

LinusDKD · 17/07/2013 20:44

Happy Birthday Liberty! Glad you had a good time.

one you are really NBU! What a greedy and ill mannered person.

novice Envy about the Ivy! Love the outfit and the bling.

sleep Thank you.

My bikini wax went ok, I think the paracetamol worked.

My beautician is a Brazilian lady (yes a Brazilian, done by a Brazilian) and she is only a couple of years older than me, has had one more child than me and looks like a model. She was just wearing a white tee, white jeans and havs and I felt like an overweight frump next to her.

I have done 75% of the packing for our holiday and I HATE it with a passion.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 20:57

That skirt is absolutely gorgeous MrsR
Is it your birthday today Liberty? Or Sunday? Happy Birthday if I've missed it......

Well done on the packing Linus - and the Brazilian!

Mumsnet Swears By recommended this dress and I really like it. Have any of you tried it on IRL?

Oasis

I particularly like the green, but there's lots of nice colours.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 21:13

that's very nice linus , I like it in the purple although it's the wrong shape for me

LinusDKD · 17/07/2013 21:28

I think the shape could suit a lot of body types but I am not sure the fabric is thick enough to hide my lumps.

M&E jersey is very forgiving and drapes beautifully but I'm not sure cheaper jersey will do the same.

MrsRadicchio · 17/07/2013 22:01

Ah QueenC I hope no one had clocked me mentioning no shopping! I don't think I will buy any clothes til then but I do find shoes hard to resist. I think I am an autumn or a winter. I am pretty bad at telling what colours suit me though, so I will be interested to see what she says.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 22:12

Lovely dress but Viscose.

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 17/07/2013 22:17

linus I love the style....I think the fabric will be thin and clingy but no worse than the DP tube maxi skirts I think you and I own. Well done on the packing, I don't mind packing but loathe unpacking.
Decameron the H and M blouse is a keeper. A lot like my other one which I wear a lot, but different enough to keep IYkwim . I only had to undo the top button.

MNV tell me....are floppy linen trousers completely middle aged or in these exceptional weather circumstances are they allowed? Was thinking for work with a linen, fitted , halter neck top (with back)!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/07/2013 22:57

are you feeling as tender as I am? Was a real glutton for punishment, in addition to bikini I also had underarms and eyebrows waxed and lashes and brows tinted. My family keep laughing at me because my eyes are a bit dark as they've only just been done (hoping they fade a bit!). I too am procrastinating about the packing, but I have cleaned the grill and fridge so my house sitter doesn't think we're scruffy buggers. Indulged myself with a purchase of Portofino shower gel so I'll at least smell delicious on holiday, regardless of whatever random selection of clothes I manage to pack.

Happy birthday liberty! We need a cake emoticon...

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/07/2013 23:01

Ooh, MrsR - saw some grey flat jodhpur style boots on Red Mag this month, but they were suede, not leather. V smart though and only about £65. Haven't seen them in store or online yet, but I'd imagine they're imminent.

BrandyAlexander · 18/07/2013 00:13

Hello! Way too much food and champers.Blush Outfit totally rocked! I would honestly never have thought of it pre-mnv!

Head hurts. Feel hot.

MarshaBrady · 18/07/2013 00:23

Hi Liberty. Happy Birthday!! I am not usually this sensible Grin. But we had to pay a lot for me to go into that work for one day Wink

One no way on present.

Grumpy and Linus hope all went well ha. I loathe packing for holidays too.

Novice are you still out rocking your outfit? Thanks for pm, just need to chat to dh, he's out will reply tomorrow.

Really like that Lang skirt and Oasis dress.

Shop and Sleep refreshed houses sound fabulous, nearly there Shop!

Anni J Crew cashmere sound fabulous.

MrsR I really like those, they'd suit you very much.

Dry you know what I think you could definitely do them, with fitted top that shows your arms.

I don't know what to do with my NaP order. Both are excellent but both have a problem!

The cashmere jumper is SO fine and delicate it's practically see-through. And I'm worried I'll only have to look at it and it will get a hole.

The J Brands give you the straight line under the bum like the model pic. But I love them from the front. What to do?!

MarshaBrady · 18/07/2013 00:24

How funny! Just x posts with you Novice. Don't forget the glass of water by the bed! Grin

MarshaBrady · 18/07/2013 00:28

And if I were to keep one which problem is the least irritating? Overly delicate cashmere or ruler bum?

santamarianovella · 18/07/2013 02:18

got up an hour ago due to dd's crying and screaming, the poor thing had a nightmare, she went back to sleep soon after, and now dh and i are wide awake!

marsha, which item do you think works the most with what you have in your wardrobe? i love the zipper details of the j brands.

dry i personally would not do it,very frumpy and they do crease in 2 seconds.

linus and grumpy its torture but totally worth it IMO Wink.

novice sounds fun! i love the ivy, have not been there in ages! dh hates it!

LinusDKD · 18/07/2013 06:27

Morning.

santa poor DD! I feel your pain! We had to get up twice for DS last night. He has been having nightmares a lot lately. I hope it's just a phase because, like you I have trouble falling asleep again. DH on the other hand, fast asleep after 5 seconds.

novice how's your head this morning? Spot any celebs last night?

Marsha I would go for the jeans, if the jumper is that delicate.

grumpy that is hardcore. Just a bikini wax is enough pain for me for one day. Not too sore today, she's really good.

We had a thunderstorm last night so it has cooled off considerably so I am wearing one of my People Tree dresses for the first time today. I need to find some accessories though as I look a bit too conservative, even for me.
