i agree grumpy butt covering clothes can go very wrong ,it can cling to your butt in an extremely ugly way.and make it look ten times bigger.

BrandyAlexander · 21/06/2013 22:29

Grin at Liberty.

Have a good one grumpy!

Marsha, what are you wearing on Monday, do you know?

Drywhiteplease · 21/06/2013 23:41

grumps have a good day....that jewelry website looks fab......and order the shorts before they sell out.
Foxy keep the parka, sounds like you love it.
Novice the HL dress was gorgeous but there will be others!
Amber your hand sounds sore, glad your DH will be around to help next week.
Linus Celine,where??

Changed 3 times today,bloody weather.

QueenCadbury · 22/06/2013 06:51

Oh amber that sounds really painful. I hope dh can now look after you.

Loving all the drunk talk! Any sore heads this morning?

liberty that top indeed would make my arse look like a grey tent!

It's been raining here which is not good as it's the school summer fair but I'm staring optimistically at the tiny patch of blue sky I can see. I may have to embrace festival chic of hunters and denim cut offs (if they don't hurt my bruised tum) as I'm helping to man the bouncy castle.

BrandyAlexander · 22/06/2013 08:14

Morning everyone! The weather looks grim. Going out in about an hour. Think I will wear my new toothpick jeans and Barbour jacket. I bought a pair of wedges from Dune last week but have decided to give to my sister instead so going to change size.

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2013 08:24

Novice not sure yet! Will be last decision I think after all else is sorted. Maybe I'll wing it on Monday. Weather is tricky these days.

I love the name toothpick jeans, makes me like them even more.

Aveda today, very much needed.

shopafrolic · 22/06/2013 09:08

Morning all - loving the drunk chat - Grey Goose is my favourite too.
I was in Madchester in the 90s so totally get the parka thing.
Horrible day here - wearing the J Brand cargo pants again - will EBay the Jigsaw ones I bought I think as they just aren't as good......

Morning all.

Just came back from the nursery brunch and luckily it wasn't too warm outside so I wore the cobalt pencil skirt with the yellow breton and cobalt Gigis. DH said I looked summery.

Amber I hope your hand feels a bit better today and that you have plenty of help so you can rest a bit.

Seems I have a few more followers on Pinterest Wink so I'd better get my act together and start pinning properly.

Dry this Céline:

trio

Although I might have to pin a picture of my bag as the one in this picture seems a lighter burgundy colour than mine.

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2013 09:51

Linus I followed you, lovely stuff. Really like the MiH too.

Thanks Shop Smile.

foxysocks · 22/06/2013 10:45

Thanks Novice I've got to say you're all really helping and it's nice to have. Plus the light fashion chat and style is a perfect distraction Grin.

Funny weather, sometimes hot then cooler. I've gone for a light summer knit Wink.

foxysocks · 22/06/2013 12:37

Yep v changeable here. Parka v light so easy to sling over my bag. I love it!

Novice bling links later please!

Marsha sometimes those last min decisions are the best way. Did you get that Asos tube skirt?

foxysocks · 22/06/2013 12:41

Dry I went for vejas but debated ankle boots and havs first!

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2013 13:19

Not yet Foxy. I feel like I should check out the scene and what others are wearing. I feel a bit on pause until then!

Hair cut. Oh that feels a million times better. Love Aveda (although still loathe the hair washing part, so knotty, and no thanks to head massage, shudder).

McNally · 22/06/2013 14:50

Hi all! Just caught up on the last ten pages...!

Glad hair is good Marsha. Thought it was just me who doesn't like to chat over a cut. I like that Aveda salon. Might try it again. Have been going to Daniel Hersheson for a few years now but never feel particularly satisfied with the experience.

Like the parka love. I got one as a bit of an emergency, need something for pushing the pram round the park, purchase but have grown to love it. (And I'm 5' 2" so don't agree that you can't wear one if you're a shortie).

My next practical purchase is going to have to be a small, cross body bag, having done my back in (again) carting round a huge bag while chasing DD at the park yesterday. Don't even know what I'm looking for. I'm thinking probably tan leather and understated. If anyone can read my mind and sees anything nice, let me know.

Meant to say, shop, that my J Crew bangle was fine. Not totally perfect, but fine. Sorry you got a dud. Impressive customer service though. Less impressed with the t shirt. Don't really like the colour. Too mottled(?) a grey I think.

BrandyAlexander · 22/06/2013 14:51

Bling links alert! Smile

I have been wearing swaroski flower ring today which is one of my favourites. I have now swapped it for my new swaroski spectacle ring which dh hatesGrin. Doesn't matter as I have wanted it for ages.

I also bought swaroski nuts pastel which I have also wanted for ages as I have this one.

Also got this necklace and a different one for a friend for her 40th (can't find to pin).

McNally · 22/06/2013 15:11

Wow! That is quite some bling novice! Gorgeous. Also congrats on setting up the charity (despite the admin frustrations). Would love to hear more about it. It is great to find something about which you can feel so passionate.

foxysocks · 22/06/2013 15:24

lovely novice

i'd like a small bag atm too mcnally. ideally a balanciaga! but £££.

BrandyAlexander · 22/06/2013 17:27

ThanksSmile I should say the necklace is a present for my mum, not all for me!

McNally, my charity will sponsor a school in a rural village in Africa. It has 150 children, 50 of whom are preschoolers. I will be providing: a lunchtime meal for all the preschoolers (Sometimes the parents can't afford to feed them and the child gets excluded from meals); Uniforms and shoes for each child (some cant afford the uniform so they get excluded); school supplies for the children (pencils, exercise books, erasers etc for each child); mosquito nets for each child (1 in 5 children die from malaria). I will also be providing the text books for the school. I am trying to set all this up for the new school year in September so there are many moving parts. The really big part of the project is that the school building was built from mud about 85 years ago and hasn't been kept up so basically unsafe. I will be funding the rebuilding of part of the school and renovation of the other half. i have a big meeting next week with another more established charity who will help me implement. Overall, lots of things to get excited about, although the bank have spent another day frustrating me.Angry I have just had a gruelling 10 months at work and promised dh that I would take it easy for a couple of months. Errr Okaaay thenGrin right that's my charity bore for the day, I promise!!

shopafrolic · 22/06/2013 17:36

Sounds amazing Novice how will you raise the money? Events?

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 22/06/2013 17:58
