Dry fame!

OneLittleLady · 19/06/2013 09:24

DS was seven when he got chicken pox, he was really ill with it as well Sad no scars to speak of but so listless for days when he had it Sad

mig I didn't even know you could get lactose and gluten free ice cream! I will definitely have a go at making it, I really miss things like that.

dry don't let the fame go to your head Grin

amber and queenC* hope you're both feeling better soon

libertychick · 19/06/2013 09:29

Yes I think the earlier the better with the pox. DD hasn't had it yet. I had it when I was 16 Sad remember being so, so ill. No scars thankfully.

Hope QueenC and Amber are recovering well.

Looking good Dry! And noted that you are posh!!!

Barbie1 · 19/06/2013 09:34

Hello, hello!

I dropped off the radar for a bit then. Glad to say we are back in the uk and the leaving of Paris went well.

I'm currently bouncing around in excitement waiting for the postman.

I managed to get 5 items in the NAP sale, and 7 more on the outnet. I just hope they all fit!

Trip to London all booked for this coming Monday, hopefully it will be a pleasure to spend the day in selfridges and Joseph now most of the 'basics' have already been done.

Haven't read the thread but will go and catch up. Hope you are all well...

Annianni · 19/06/2013 09:49

Dsd had a fab day, thanks for the good wishes.
Dh has just text me, thanking me for making an effort.
Unfortunately, her mother doesn't.

There were loads of tears when she saw the tickets, she didn't start shaking though, unlike last time when she almost went into shock :o

And the cake was scrummy... although I dread to think how many calories there are in it, as it's chocolate sponge with chocolate fudge icing, 2 packets of chocolate fingers round the outside and a large bag of malteesers on top.

Hope your arm's ok today Amber.

And hope you're ok today too QueenC.

Hi Barbie, glad the move went ok.
You can't tease us like that... we need links!!!

This is the Whistles sweat that I kept. It's lovely on, although I won't be styling it as the picture, it looks better not pulled down so much.

I think i've found yet more boots to try Grey Hudson's
And i quite like the look of these in navy

Dry, you're famous... but is that a pint of g&t in your hand!?

Annianni · 19/06/2013 09:53

This is the Whistles sweater i've re-ordered. It's incredibly flattering on, that navy panel makes me look slimmer than I am (at the moment) :o

QueenCadbury · 19/06/2013 09:55

Omg anni that cake sounds divine.

I'm ok thanks, a bit sore still, mainly as dd accidentally kicked me in the stomach. My jeans hurt so I've got a dress on so feel totally weird and cold. But it was either that or the sweat pants and as we're going out to the zoo I thought I'd better make some effort! Other than that I'm putting my feet up and letting dh do all the work!

libertychick · 19/06/2013 10:24

God so much for not shopping - inspired by all of Anni's lovely Whistles links have just ordered this sweater

shopafrolic · 19/06/2013 10:33

QueenC it took me a few days to get back up to full speed - paracetamol and rest up, and yes to avoiding things that are tight over the tummy / glue
Anni glad the birthday celebrations were a success. Love the Hudson Mirars but then they are an all time favourite of mine. Mental note to have a look at Hudson website later.
Dry looking lovely! I thought it was a given that you were posh? Grin Have you read the thread on MN about toilet seats and wealth? Made me chuckle.
Barbie Welcome back :) Where are the links???? Impatient.
I am wearing this uper easy dress with these today. Feel good in a throw it on kind of way. With my new Chan Luu bracelet.
Can't go out this morning which is frustrating - 2 reasons - waiting for DHL to collect my NaP parcel, and we can't go into the garden because the neighbour's bees are swarming. So I'm stuck indoors with crazy toddler DS. Reaches for gin.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 19/06/2013 10:38

super easy dress. Humph!

OP posts:
foxysocks · 19/06/2013 10:39

poor you queenc and amber - hope you both mend quickly x

anni thanks for goldsigns tip will have a look later

DH home today thank FUCK (sorry for swearing). am in garden in missoni esque bandeau and denim shorts. it's so hot! hayfever making me feel utterly grimola yuckity yuck.

j crew out for delivery already, how fab is that? and NaP refunded me so I've MADE money this month lol.

arty is still under consideration. shop which size was better for you? is there much in it?

foxysocks · 19/06/2013 10:40

gorgeous outfit shop. relaxed sunshine glam.

libertychick · 19/06/2013 10:42

Great outfit shop shame you are stuck in the house!

shopafrolic · 19/06/2013 10:48

Foxy The 7 fitted snugly on my middle finger, and a little too loosely on my ring finger. I think it would have been okay once the "do not remove this tag" tag had been removed!
Agree - hayfever is rotten ATM.

OP posts:
Annianni · 19/06/2013 11:05

QueenC it was a Betty Crocker Devil's food cake packet mix, with a bit of tarting up :o

Tastes fab though.

Ds2 keeps asking to go to the zoo but dhl are due...
so obviously we ain't going anywhere

My hayfever's gone bonkers these last 2 days too.

That top's lovely Liberty, I wanted to try it, but I think I'd look pregnant in it at the moment.

I love that dress Shop, what length is it on you?

shopafrolic · 19/06/2013 11:11

An inch or two above my knees Anni

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 19/06/2013 11:18

DD will be 8 months old on Monday, so she's not tiny anymore but still quite young.

DS is 2 years and 5 months old and seems to be taking it in his stride.

dry I am a big fan of Bombay Sapphire as well Wink

shop lovely outfit! Did you see the skirt I linked for you last night?

Annianni · 19/06/2013 11:29

Ooh... thanks Shop... I might try it then, as I'm shorter than you.

I've given up looking for a maxi.

lois28thoms · 19/06/2013 11:36

Anna have dropped Acne into sale at 30%, but are still holding off on everything else unfortunately.

www.shopatanna.com/acne/

I love the light suede pistol boots, but one bad evening with them and you have a pair of stained suede boots.

sigh

I have to keep reminding myself that I am only window shopping.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 19/06/2013 12:11

Hello all! Had a quick scan through all I've missed but will catch up properly later.
Well, the coat arrived...while I was sitting in the traffic jam to get into the Ascot car park. Phone pinged with the email to tell me it had been delivered, so I didn't get to wear it yesterday. Happily, I didn't need it as it stayed dry pretty much all day. Got papped in the owners and trainers bar, but I suspect that had more to do with my uber-stylish friend who looked amaaazing. Realized at one point that, to a woman, absolutely everyone in my group had a Chanel bag (of differing styles and ages). Yes, the 2.55 did make an appearance, on the arm of a very beautiful young wife of a rich and extremely charming husband Envy. I myself can only aspire to Chanel, but my silver Donna Karan didn't disgrace me and my stunning (hired) hat drew many compliments. Had a mega long day and didn't get home til after midnight - the trainer's car park picnics after racing are the stuff of legend. DH was, ummmm, merry Grin

Was a bit Blush Blush Blush at the number of packages I returned to. Have realised I've been hitting up the sales pretty hard lately, but it's lovely. And the coat is a definite keeper. Ridiculously well-cut and so beautiful. My PA was in raptures. It felt tailor-made and I couldn't love it more. I'll just put the price tag out of my head...

libertychick · 19/06/2013 12:31

Sounds like a fabulous day out Grumpy? Any winners for you? They wouldn't have papped if you didn't look good too! Great to hear the coat is a keeper.

shopafrolic · 19/06/2013 12:42

Great news about the coat Grumpy - sounds as though you had a great time Envy
Linus sorry. I did see the skirt last night Flowers but was on my BB and I meant to reply this morning. The skirt shape itself is perfect, but the colour isn't dark enough. I'm looking for a moss green. I think I, like Anni may have given up on the search but thank you. And if you ever see it in dark green do let me know.
Play date this afternoon thank God - feel as though I'm going mental here today!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 19/06/2013 12:53

It was a fun day, even if it was a long one. Backed nowt but losers! I feel as though I need to sleep for a straight 24 hours before I do it all again on Saturday. Might wear the coat just because I love it so much, even if it's 80 degrees and sunny. Which we all know it won't be.

Annianni · 19/06/2013 13:07

Fab news on the coat Grumpy.

Dhl man's been...

I'm in love! Blush

Jenny's beautiful... she's a boot that actually fits me, and is so soft to touch.
She looks nice with my grey Hudson skinnys, and my Goldsign frontier's... but I think she would look better on a slimmer leg
And she's not cheap.
And I would still need some boots with a heel.

I've put her away for a day or two, then i'll have another try and decide.

Liberty... there's plenty of room in the ankle area too [bad influence emoticon] :o

santamarianovella · 19/06/2013 14:14
