Wow, you lot move really fast! Will have to have a catch up in a bit.

Well MIL and her H have arrived this evening but, despite my hardest praying, the Armani coat has not Sad

Sod it. I'll just have to get bloody wet tomorrow.

BrandyAlexander · 17/06/2013 21:21

Afternoon all! So it's 29 degrees here. I am wearing tangerine dress and my Attwoods. I heart them.GrinGrinGrin V comfortable and a dream to walk around in.

QueenC, lucky you!Envy I have always loved that top! I passed because Liberty thought it might be too big (I am a munchkin but sadly, not a waif like one!!)

Hello to Lois and Thanks for One and Mignonette.

Good meetings so far and I will be done in an hour ish so am heading to the shopsBlush. Unusually, no dinner!

mignonette · 17/06/2013 21:33

Tangerine dress and Attwoods.....What a delicious sounding outfit Novice...Need to see a picture of it....Do you like Sophie Webster's shoes? I have a pair of her super bright heels. They make me want to buy a ticket to Buenos Aires to dance whenever I put them on.

Grumpy I have my fingers crossed that Wednesdays 27 degrees of sunshine will arrive tomorrow for you instead...

Drywhiteplease · 17/06/2013 21:45

rose gold Arty in 2 sizes
gold Arty in 2 sizes
Only keeping one!
Dagmar merino sweater
I fell in love with this Dagmar last Autumn but by the time I decided to go for it, it had sold out everywhere. Hence the full price purchase. I prefer the blue, but feel I have to try the green to scratch the itch!

Here is tangerine dress, it was actually cheap ish, about £30 from memory. This dress, blue Balenciaga, atwoods and bling totally works for me. I would never have thought of it before. Must FaceTime dh and give him peek of attwoods as I think credit card bill due soon!.Grin

shopafrolic · 17/06/2013 22:00

Just gorgeous novice. Perfect for Summer.

Drywhiteplease · 17/06/2013 22:45

Poor MrNovice will really miss you when he sees you in that outfit Wink
shop I love the sweater, and the blue fom last year.....2 of my favourite colours. I love merino wool and had never heard of the brand before. Lovely. I have a bracelet from Etsy a lot like that and wear it all the time. Great stuff.

libertychick · 17/06/2013 22:59

Have just pm'd you QueenC. I am so pleased the top works on you as it's lovely and I just wasn't doing it justice. It's really nice passing things around. I have 4 items from Shop's wardrobe all of which get plenty of wear!

Love the arty ring shop and the dagmar.

It seems a few of us are trying to lose weight - I posted it today as a way of forcing myself to do something so have decided my regime is no sugar, no milky coffees, no eating after 6pm (or if that's impossible with work, then no carbs with dinner), lots of water and walk as much as possible. Have stuck to the rules today. I have the Shred but I have very weak knees and when I tried it I was in agony with knee pain for days after (sound so bloody old). Must do some upper body stuff though as my arms are scarily wobbly!

McNally · 17/06/2013 23:05

How disappointing about those orders shop. My J Crew order is waiting for me at home, where I'm headed now having been at work drinks (on a Monday night?! They clearly don't know Only Connect is on ). At least I'm forewarned about the bangle. Hope the NaP order is more successful.

Can totally sympathise liberty. Have tried the Shred twice now. Got to day 3 the first time and day 5 the second before having to stop because of pain in my back. Boo.

libertychick · 17/06/2013 23:10

I get terrible back pain too McNally I really need to do some yoga or pilates as I did them before and it really helped.

libertychick · 17/06/2013 23:41

Oh Grumpy how disappointing about your coat Sad. Hope the sun shines tomorrow.

shopafrolic · 18/06/2013 07:10

Morning all!
Check this out as an impressive response from J Crew:
"Thanks for reaching out - sorry to hear your Wild Side Wide Bangle arrived in less than perfect condition.

Due to the high cost of return shipping we invite you to keep the item and do whatever you please with it. I'm happy to let you know that your original payment method has been credited for the entire order ( shipping costs included). Please know that it may take up to 7-10 business days for your return credit to appear.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if there is anything else we may assist you with - we're always happy to help."

Well done J crew.

Much better than Atterley Road, who haven't replied to my email about the Ash Virgo's... that I sent last week Hmm

Could you fix the bangle shop?
By putting new fabric on instead?

mignonette · 18/06/2013 07:58

The Americans know how to do customer service. Well done JCrew.

Drywhiteplease · 18/06/2013 08:01

Wow that's great customer service.....do you think they're lurking?!!!!

shopafrolic · 18/06/2013 08:34

Anni it's not broken as such - just badly finished. From a distance you wouldn't notice. I'm just very particular - and up close you can see raw edges and that the 'animal hair' pieces are badly applied.
If I had it on my wrist every day at the thirty something ££ I paid for it, it would have driven me mad.
Agree Mignonette Americans know their customer service.
Dry I would guess they keep an eye on their mentions on the internet and social media the same as other big retailers. But I doubt they're here specifically..... unless you're julie@jcrew? :)

Gorgeous sandals santa!

I hope one of the arty rings is a keeper shop, I remember how dissapointed you were when it sold out on the Outnet.

Such a pretty dress Novice! I bet you looked stunning. How did your shopping spree go?

And I agree, Americans are brilliant when it comes to customer service.

At the beginning of the year I ordered some make-up from Becca and when I hadn't received it, I e-mailed them asking what happened to my order. (I had noticed that they weren't taking orders anymore on their website a couple of days after I ordered and they still don't. I heard a rumour they have gone under)

I got an e-mail back from someone in the US who was very apologetic and offered to wave the p&p, 50% off my order and a choice out of three complimentary gifts!

I was very impressed and did get my order in the end.

foxysocks · 18/06/2013 10:43

brilliant from j crew, what excellent service. pmsl at julie@jcrew, imagine if she was on here?!

shop I could KISS you - i hadn't noticed the rose gold option on the arty, i might prefer that to the cobalt. not sure. i know it sounds crazy but i get a bit worried ordering tons of stuff to then send back 3/4. its probably the best way, though, to make sure you get the fit and stone that you like best.

was pleased with my SR outfit - grey skinny goldsigns, cobalt whistles tee, nude ash high tops, grey R*B biker and the studded campomaggi cross-body bag. now in faded grey AA leggings and a black lulu Y tank - must practice! skipped the 5am today, bad lady.

back pain people. core muscle work needed! get some instruction though, please, doing it by yourself may lead to more injury as your form needs to be spot on.

knee pain - can often be lessened by improving muscle tone around the weak joint. this will strengthen it be holding it in place more securely. also would recommend trigger point therapy.

LinusDKD · 18/06/2013 10:53

Bought these this morning:

havaianas

Maybe a bit over the top but sooo summery.

lois28thoms · 18/06/2013 11:45

A belated wave back to mignonette.

I agree with foxy core is very important, and yoga is great for that as liberty suggested, just don't mix yoga and more dynamic exercise on the same day, you'll likely do more harm than good.

Fasting 2 days a week here, several doctors I know are doing it so I thought I would give it a try. Going okay so far, just drinking plenty of coffee on the fasting days.
