grumpy it's gorgeous. But yes, a lot to pay if you don't think you'll wear it much.

OneLittleLady · 14/06/2013 19:14

Today has been brilliant. Singing lesson went great, tutor says I have a lot of potential and am in the soprano range.

In fashion news, I picked up two Kenneth Cole ruched jersey skirts, one black, one in snakeskin print for £7.50 for the pair! I also treated myself to a pair of faux suede, deep red studded short cowboy boots!

QueenCadbury · 14/06/2013 19:58

That's great news one! I, on the other hand, am the worlds worst singer. Obviously when doing drunk karaoke I think I'm great though!

QueenCadbury · 14/06/2013 20:00

I'm in love with this DVF dress. Please can someone stop me browsing for dresses 4 months in advance of the event!

Annianni · 14/06/2013 20:31

Lovely dress Qc.

Can somebody tweet Donna Ida and ask if the sale is going to be online too, or just in the shops.
I'm not on Twitter.

santamarianovella · 14/06/2013 20:42

amber well done ,and i must say brave,i find driving in london one of life most frightful experiences, and i cant wait to read about your selfridges buy tomorrow! it must be a good one.

queen its a gorgeous dress, but to summery for november.

any experience with ordering from neiman marcus? they have lovely things on sales, but dont want any hidden taxes or import fees,so anyone...please!

Annianni · 14/06/2013 20:54

I've found some Paige jeans that I quite like the look of, but they are slightly more money than I usually spend.

Opinions please...

Paige jeans?!

MarshaBrady · 14/06/2013 20:59

Lol Anni! What the!

Just a quicky QueenC this is the pin I thought of with the other blue dress. Might need a sharper, simpler clutch. But I liked the combo. Unfortunately not great for November.

Novice love the sound of your charity, fantastic.

That MJ lining is shouting isn't it.

MarshaBrady · 14/06/2013 21:01

Sleep I loove the cake. Brilliant. I bet your dd was delighted.

And thanks! I didn't buy the top (yet!) I need to work for a bit first. Hopefully there'll be something left.

Gorgeous coat Grumpy. Between £200 and £300 would feel better in the sales I imagine.

BrandyAlexander · 14/06/2013 21:01

Marsha, have you started the contract yet?

QueenC love the dress but you will freeze your bits off in NovemberGrin

MarshaBrady · 14/06/2013 21:03

In one week Novice. One week! Am quite excited about it, hope it is good / ok.

libertychick · 14/06/2013 21:03

Anni totally worth it as long as you have a good enough laundry bag to catch the diamonds in the machine Grin

QueenC I had the exact same thought as santa - the side tie means it would be very difficult to get a jacket to work over it - stunning dress though.

No idea re neiman marcus santa - sorry.

libertychick · 14/06/2013 21:10

Novice I am struggling for a word to follow your 'too' also - it is 'too' something...'shiny' maybe??? also possibly 'noisy' with all that hardware Grin. I have a feeling that will not put you off though. Smile Your charity sounds amazing.

Grumpy that coat is fantastic - as a regular on the race circuit I would have thought you would have more opportunity to wear it than most?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 14/06/2013 21:27

I am falling in love with the coat, but a bit wary of spending so much on one item. A couple more toffee vodkas and I'll probably end up buying it anyway!

Anni WTF?! Under the 'more money than sense' banner.

QueenCadbury · 14/06/2013 22:55

Gosh, my alcohol unit count is through the roof this week!! Just enjoyed a bottle of Chablis with dh and watched a crappy rom com called playing for keeps.

grumpy buy the jacket!

anni I looked at your link before realising that you were taking the piss and was trying to think of something positive to say as I thought you really liked themGrin

I know, I know, I'm picking inappropriate dresses for November. But that's what happens when you look for something 4 months in advance. I'm sure that no money will be spent yet but I'm enjoying looking. The do will be in a hotel where I'm staying so I won't need to worry about a jacket or a handbag.

Hope you're all having good Friday nights. grumpy, enjoy the toffee vodka.

QueenCadbury · 15/06/2013 07:04

Gah, it's 7 on a Saturday morning and i've been up for an hour. Where are you all? Are all you lovely voguettes having a lie-in Envy.

shopafrolic · 15/06/2013 07:18

No chance QueenC.I haven't had one of those in over 2.5 years :(

Well I had a fantastic day at the races. Just love it, a great day out. Grumpy I'm completely useless when it comes to betting, my completely random choices were terrible, I lost on every race! Still had a fab time. Some lovely outfits, great people watching.
liberty well done with the Hakka potty training......still psychologically scarred by my experience potty training DS 12 yrs ago!
Amber congrats. With 2,little ones it will make life a lot easier. I admire anyone who drives in London.
QueenC I love the Grosvenor Radley bag. I agree, they need to keep going with the image but the product is lovely and really good quality.
Sleep the cake is fab!

foxysocks · 15/06/2013 08:36

i'm here queenc. successfully ignored the children till 7.30 when cries of "Mummy, I'm AWAKE" became too frequent Grin

not told you all this but i've been having a few probs with NaP and the j crew jacket. just got a replacement for a faulty one and am not keen on the wash. AND it's just gone into the j crew 40% off sale. so that's £57 rather than £130. i should order and send back the NaP one, right?

that gives me extra ££ for the mythical perfect bag Grin

can someone please tell me it makes sense before i hit buy and request NaP RMA? i would usually run it through with DH but of course I can't

foxysocks · 15/06/2013 08:37

that doesn't make sense - the wash on the replacement one is diff to the original they sent (which had faulty seams)

am thinking third time lucky at (less than) half the price.... ???

AmberNectarine · 15/06/2013 08:40

I had a lie-in until 7.30am when I had to get up to be on this train Bond St bound! Wish me good shopping karma folks!

drywhite I am historically a terrible gambler on the horses but have a good hit rate with scratch cards and the dogs

Thanks for the good wishes re the driving all. I won't go into what I've spent to get here. Suffice to say the cost of taking the tests alone is knocking on the door of four figures

foxy I am sitting with Rocco on my lap in absolute dismay at how battered he is. Honestly this bag looks 10 years old not 6 months - save your wedge for something better! In fact, here is a link to my Instagram - I've taken a couple of shots to show you!

MarshaBrady · 15/06/2013 08:40

foxy Yes hit RMA. A slight faff but worth it.

MarshaBrady · 15/06/2013 08:42

Grumpy re the lovely coat you could order and return if it doesn't feel worth it.

AmberNectarine · 15/06/2013 08:44

Foxy if you use Grazia25 you get extra off on top of the 40% at J Crew

foxysocks · 15/06/2013 08:47

O.M.G Amber. my jaw just dropped to the floor. can't believe it's worn so badly! that is SUCH a shame as it really is a gorgeous design and you would think for the money a long-term piece. thanks so much for the feedback and pics, I really appreciate it

marsha yes a bit faffy isn't it? but as i'm not happy with NaP I think it is worth it. if I LOVED the one they had sent then I probs wouldn't bother. it is a massive saving though which I will probably spunk on something else before the end of the week

grumpy LOVE LOVE that coat. gorgeous. I have a cool stone wool coat which is a similar shape, from reiss about 8 years ago. it's really useful although has had less use since DC were born, natch.
