Oooh great ideas Dry. Grumpy (your post re my purchases made me laugh by the way!!), I would also throw in 2 more ideas. We spent one anniversary in Paris, and stayed at George V hotel. Dh organised the whole thing as a surprise - i thought we were going to the cotswalds. Anyway, we had an amazing time.
We have also spent 2 of our anniversaries in London - we stayed at the Savoy for one of them and at the Waldorf Astoria. Both a great time and we stayed in London and did touristy things after we got out of bed 
. This year, I quite fancy going to Seville. Lovely place to walk about, great weather and you just go from tapas bar to tapas bar. I quite like le Manoir though....!
