Grumpy - my pleasure - but I have to pass the thanks on to Amber too as without her mentioning them in her blog I never would have ventured back through their doors.....
Can you post a pic of DD2 in the Chloe trilby? :)
QueenC I usually put things onto my Considering board on Pin and if after 3 days they still look as good and I want them as badly then I buy . That said, an awful lot gets deleted! The Hasbeens have been on and off the board multiple times.

QueenC just jumping in to say that I have the saltwater sandals and think you should get them! love the pink ones.

MrsRadicchio · 04/06/2013 08:52

Our wedding anniversary is the same day as ds2's birthday

MrsRadicchio · 04/06/2013 08:55

Gah, posted too soon.

that means we won't be planning any anniversary trips until ds2 is at the age where he doesn't want his parents around for birthdays!

Love your ideas dry - esp night at le manoir

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 04/06/2013 10:17

Amazing anniversary ideas Dry, especially Venice. I love the ice cream opera there.

Grumpy DH and I went to Paris and St Tropez for our honeymoon. I would recommend that Smile

I have tried the dress on. On the hanger it looks like an ice skating dress! It is very cool though. I don't know what I would wear as a jacket with it. I have a black and a white blazer. The shoes I thought about wearing it with look a bit tarty with it though. I'll be wearing it to the evening reception of an ex colleagues civil partnership. Lots of people I used to work with will be there and I'm not sure they want to see their old boss as 'Strumpet On Ice'!

The other thing it has been bought for is New Years Eve in Hong Kong. I would be fabulous for that. Grin

Gah! I don't know!

carrie74 · 04/06/2013 10:45

Grumpy Shock Try it on and see if it fits you!!

Fab anniversary ideas, lots to think about for future celebrations...

MrsR, our anniversary is 2 days after Thing 2's birthday. This year we're actually celebrating a couple of weeks early - makes no odds to me (on the actual day, H is going on a work away day to Alton Towers Hmm. The next day we're going to his boss' wife's 50th. Rock. And. Roll).

FaddyPeony · 04/06/2013 10:56

Hello all! Longtime lurker here, just jumping in to see if any of you nice ladies might be able to help or offer tissues

I'd been waiting until payday to buy this pretty RED Valentino dress for my wedding party (not the ceremony - we got married in reg. office a little while ago but are having a big garden party later in the summer to celebrate with friends and family). Anyway, I waited a fraction too long, of course, and now it's all sold out in my size . I really had my heart set on it, but I guess since it's an old line the Outnet is probably the only place to buy it?

Annianni · 04/06/2013 11:19

Photo please Paris
Keep the dress for nye/other nights out?

I've been rather naughty...

Lovely boots are on their way for me to try in two sizes... trying not to think about the cost Shock
I really don't want black boots, they are just to try for size

Also, i'm finally in the Wang gang :o

I've ordered this dress to try I suspect it may make me look pregnant.. so we shall see.

I also ordered these Sam Edelman's a few days ago.
I did buy them from Brand Alley about 18 months ago, but they had studs missing and I returned them, so finger's crossed these are perfect.

Annianni · 04/06/2013 11:21

That's a pretty dress FaddyPeony have you tried ebay?
Or could you buy a bigger size and get it altered?

Have you added your size to your wish list?
Then you'll get an email if it does come back into stock.

Annianni · 04/06/2013 11:27

I'm spending today doing washing.
Ds2 was sick all over our bed last night.

I've got the duvet drying in the conservatory, and the washing line's full of the bedding.

He's fine though, just eaten too much and running around before bed/milk.

We're planning on Paris for one of our big anniversaries.
Dh has promised me Tiffany's up the Eiffle Tower :o

FaddyPeony · 04/06/2013 11:49

Oh, I wasn't sure if the Outnet would alert me if my size came back into stock, Annianni. That's good. I haven't tried ebay - I will though.

Those are VERY nice boots. I'm determined to buy my black ankle boots early this year, well before August (and not pay full price at that...)

Sorry to hear about the epic washing!

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2013 11:55

Faddy welcome, that is a gorgeous dress, so pretty. I'd say wait list too, hopefully someone will do a return. How long ago was it first put on? It may be past return time slot.

Anni welcome to Wang club. Love your shopping. Tiffanys up the Effiel Tower sounds rather raunchy Grin.

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2013 11:56

Eiffel

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2013 11:59

My mistake was bugging me.

Shop love the tan ones.

Paris I'd be tempted to keep for Hong Kong NYE!

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2013 12:02

Carrie have a fabulous time in Lisbon, I haven't been but I would love to go.

We have declared paddling pool season open in SE London. All glamour. Actually it is quite nice lounging around in garden, very peaceful.

FaddyPeony · 04/06/2013 12:13

Thanks Marsha, I'm hoping for a return! It was there in my size a week ago, so fingers crossed. Had visions of self prancing about in that dress with flowers in my hair looking all fresh and undone as if, I've a toddler. Never mind, I'll just wait and see.

Oh I'm lounging myself but feeling vv guilty about doing so - toddler at CM and I'm supposed to be knuckling down to some serious work (I freelance from home). But so far I've had 2 cups of coffee and have bought 3 Zoe Karssen T-shirts on the outnet and 1 frivolous Topshop skirt Hmm. The weather is just so nice!

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2013 12:20

Oh it's so hard when it's like this. Luckily ds2 is providing an excuse!
Zoe Karssen tshirts and skirt sound good. (Link later!)

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 04/06/2013 12:43

Hi Faddy The dress is beautiful. I have my fingers crossed for you for a return. Would also love links.

Anni Hope poor DS2 is feeling better. LOVE those boots! Sadly, I have no Wang but yours all look great Grin. Tiffanys in Paris sounds dreamy. Our 10 year anniversary is in October. We're doing the HK and SE Asia for that in Dec/Jan but I'm also hoping for a few days away somewhere in the summer. I was thinking maybe Carcassone or Granada. PILs have a house in the Dordogne so I have to go there in the early autumn to rotivate the allotment . FIL is going through some tough cancer treatment so isn't really up to the job.

Marsha I want paddling pool season. DS is 16 so I'm not sure the excuse would work!

shopafrolic · 04/06/2013 12:56

Welcome Faddy - beautiful dress. Outnet customer services can also be worth a call as they sometimes can tell you if things are likely to come back in.... Do link your purchases - would love to see.
Anni good shopping as always - I liked the look of the Wang dress but discounted it for the reasons you mentioned Grin
I went to see if I could try on Hasbeens this morning but they are nowhere to be found around these parts so I might have to bite the bullet. Will check out returns situation.....
So I bought these flip flops while I ponder.
I nearly bought too short?

shopafrolic · 04/06/2013 12:59

Paris I love the Dordogne - such a beautiful region, many happy memories of childhood holidays there. I hope your FIL gets better swiftly and isn't in too much discomfort.

BrandyAlexander · 04/06/2013 13:04

Oooh great ideas Dry. Grumpy (your post re my purchases made me laugh by the way!!), I would also throw in 2 more ideas. We spent one anniversary in Paris, and stayed at George V hotel. Dh organised the whole thing as a surprise - i thought we were going to the cotswalds. Anyway, we had an amazing time.

We have also spent 2 of our anniversaries in London - we stayed at the Savoy for one of them and at the Waldorf Astoria. Both a great time and we stayed in London and did touristy things after we got out of bed Grin. This year, I quite fancy going to Seville. Lovely place to walk about, great weather and you just go from tapas bar to tapas bar. I quite like le Manoir though....!

Hello Faddy, I would definitely call customer services at the outnet. Many congratulations! Flowers. Hope you stay now that you have delurked. It's a lovely dress. I have something like it from years ago.

Anni, poor you and ds. I have had each of the dcs do that recently. I was staggered a couple of weeks ago by how much 4 year old dd can now hurl Shock

I had latest meeting with X this morning on the work thing and it's all calmed down so thank you so much for all your loveliness. This is going to be a stressful week though getting ready for it!

shopafrolic · 04/06/2013 13:06

Sending calming yet motivating vibes to Novice x

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 04/06/2013 13:07

I would say not too short Shop. I am a bit mutton though!

FIL finished his last round of chemo on sunday so now it's the bit where we wait and see if it has worked. His main complaint is that his tastebuds aren't working and that he has grown a rather magnificent pair of breasts! Grin

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 04/06/2013 13:09

Cross post with Novice. Your DH knows how to treat a lady! Glad things are better at work Smile

BrandyAlexander · 04/06/2013 13:09

Oooh I have just remembered something that made me chuckle on the way to work.....I am such a walking advert for lots of things I have bought since i joined MNV, even the lurkers would recognise me Grin. Am wearing the new navy short sleeve armani dress, the hermes watch that dh got me for 40th, the navy RB shoes i was obsessing about a couple of months ago, the tanzanite and diamond ring (marsha, sleep and shop have seen it now so they can probably do better than my crappy descriptions), the tennis bracelet with my balenciaga bag.
