Everything's ready, just waiting on my reference to come through! I'm so nervous! I don't remember being so nervous first time round Grin

Annianni · 06/06/2013 11:28

Lovely shoes Shop.

That bag looks great QueenC, I really like the grey.

Good luck Onelittle.

Fab J crew shopping Grumpy.

Sorry for your losses Mignonette... I was a lurker last year when you used to post.
Aren't you the lady with lots of books?

Annianni · 06/06/2013 11:30

I've chopped the legs off some jeans to wear round the house.
They are knee length at the moment.
When dhl man's been, I'll cut them shorter :o

libertychick · 06/06/2013 11:35

Welcome back Mignonette - lovely to have you here again. So sorry you have had such a tough time.

I am up to my eyes with work, DH and I in a permanent grump with each other and I am just too fed up to shop - I know I'd make lousy decisions with the mood I am in so lurking mostly ATM. Enjoying everyone else's shopping. My only purchase has been clarks shoes but in blue/silver colourway, which I bought while in an utterly foul mood the other day with sore feet for the endless walking between meetings.

Marsha really pleased to hear your jobs have worked out and childcare falling into place.

Sleep I will pm re the meet up.
Dry your poor daughter - I have a teenage sister and I keep telling her that life gets much, much better.

Fingers crossed for your application One. I am in process of a masters application too but for something infinitely less interesting and I'd almost be relieved if I was not accepted - sodding work and having to update all the sodding time.

When is your work thing novice? Good to hear that preparation is going well.

MrsR your shoe pinboard is so so tempting - love it!

libertychick · 06/06/2013 11:36

Well done on the pistols Anni, hope they work out for you - they are gorgeous boots.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 06/06/2013 11:39

Grin Anni. Are you on first name terms with your DHL man yet? Mine doesn't even bother to try the house any more, he knows I'll be in my office and meets me here!

Mignonette sorry you've had such a tough year. Love the bags you linked to, especially in yellow.

Shop Fab sandals! ...thinking how they'd look with Mignonette's bag under my arm...

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 06/06/2013 11:53

nice shoes

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 06/06/2013 12:26

Delivery man just been and delivered this blouse and this skirt

The blouse is gorgeous - beautiful colour and you'd never know it was plastic. It even has that slightly greasy 'bloom' of silk.

The skirt is quite bright compared to the picture, so I'm going to take it home and try is with various bits and pieces. I do like it though and, being jacquard, it's quite substantial.

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 12:51

Does anyone on here know about body shapes? If I post up my measurements can someone tell me what shape I am e.g. apple / pear / hourglass?

OP posts:
santamarianovella · 06/06/2013 13:06

That's a good one shop, I don't know what shape am I too, can't decide if am an hourglass or pear, hope someone with knowledge enlighten us.

LinusDKD · 06/06/2013 13:33

I think I am a pear just because I am smaller on top. I have got small shoulders but wide hips but I do used to have have a waist.

LinusDKD · 06/06/2013 13:37

Oh and I am wearing this tee with my black Asos jersey pencil skirt and silver havs today.

zara

I ordered it online and the only problem is that it's very long. Now I like long tees to hide my tum but this one is so long I had to put a knot in it, which actually doesn't look too bad. I might order it in some other colours as the neckline is really flattering.

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2013 13:46

shop there's some websites somewhere that tell you. I think they were on the frugal thread. I thnk basically if bust and hips are the same and you have a defined waist then you're hourglass. If hips are bigger then you're pear. I kind of fall between the two as although my hips are wider they are only marginally so I don't have the classic pear shape.

Just ordered my saltwaters. I went for white in the end as will go with everything and have navy and silver birkies and pink havs. Just had to do a JL order for boring stuff like school shorts (and foxys pants) and was soo tempted to add in the grey bag. Dh would kill me though Grin.

OneLittleLady · 06/06/2013 13:47

I think I'm a 'full hourglass' boobs and hips are roughly the same measurements, just a couple of inches either way and I have a much smaller waist

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 13:48

So if you're an hourglass should your bust be the exact same measurement as your hips? If I look in the mirror I guess I'm an hourglass.....going to be brave and out my measurements in the hope someone knows.
Bust 36"
Waist 31" (although I wear 30 jeans!?)
Hips 39"
Anyone?

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2013 13:49

linus wash it first before ordering more just to ensure that it keeps it's shape well (I haven't had that particular tee but wasn't impressed with the washing capabilities of the linen tee at all).

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2013 13:51

shop you sound similar to me in that there's not much difference between hips and bust so I'm guessing you're hourglass/pear (helpful).

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 13:54

I think I must be between hourglass and pear then - will do some digging on those threads QueenC thanks. Glad you got your saltwaters.
I've had a bra try on this morning and got rid of all the ones that no longer fit me, then measured myself and have ordered new ones in nude by Freya (who seem to fit my shape well). I bought Foxy's pants too!
Off to read a book in the sun while DS naps.

Marsha congrats on job! you are a superstar. X

And love the foxy necklace shop! Made me giggle.

libertychick · 06/06/2013 14:13

V brave Shop - you sound more hourglass or column to me - I haven't measured myself recently and don't have tape to hand but am usually about 35/30/41 so a definite pear.

santamarianovella · 06/06/2013 14:28

Your measurements sounds good shop, I think your in between .i think I'm in between too, mine are 32-26-35 No great difference between hips and waist.

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2013 14:39

F*! I've just done level 2 of the shred. It. Is. Hard.

OneLittleLady · 06/06/2013 14:40

Oh god queenC I darent even look at level two! you're so much braver than me! I just did level one again and I can already feel the burn.

My measurements are 43/31/45
