Grumpy I haven't ordered it either. Great haul, great price!

One it's a Brew from me too still off the wine since Saturday

Am not allowed to spend any more now until sales...........but I ordered
these as recommended by Amber before I imposed the ban Grin

Am starting to plan outfit for dinner at posh friend's house on Friday. I would really like to borrow Novice's caged sandals....I need to look really good.Wink

Decameron · 06/06/2013 07:52

Quick hello from me before doing DD1's reading (can't get her to do it at night!).

Nice sandals, Drywhite. Hope things are ok at school for your poor DD. Girls can be so mean and it starts young too, my 5yo is only in Reception and has come home upset a few times after incidents at school.

Very well done, Marsha, great news about the job.

Thanks Sleep for the PM, I find weekends difficult to meet up so probably won't make it.

OneLittleLady, the course sounds really interesting and great about the funding.

Grumpy, great saving! I think you were looking for a fedora? I got this from Gap.

QueenCadbury, I saw your grey bag in Gap, it's lovely but glad you found something you prefer.

Barbie, I like the sound of your bags! I think Me & Em is better quality than Baukjen (spelling?) but I have a 25% off code if you want it, RED1305. What about this bag? I'm thinking of getting it for autumn. I use Mustela on my daughters, I love the smell. Best of luck with your move.

Anni, I would go for the Pistols at that price, they are great boots. Just don't ask Amber how much she paid for hers!

I have been doing a bit of shopping, kept these Me & Em leggings (lovely and long for fellow tall people), finally found shorts that don't make me look like a cub scout leader and had been tempted by a pink M by MJ bag but ordered this last night instead.

Hope all well, got to read Biff, Chip and Kipper now!

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2013 08:03

Grin at Decameron Biff,Chip and Kipper are v good friends of mine but I like Floppy best. Object to "Go away Floppy, Floppy go away" think it's a mean book!!!!!!

DD saga continues.....I'm trying to develop a thick skin.

V excited about sandals....think they will go with a lot.

Have a good day in the sunshine!

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:17

Good morning Smile

Woke to a swollen eye and conjunctivitis Sad have been feeling a bit run down but put that down to the forth coming move, however an additional sore throat and thumping head tells me otherwise.

I found the Tory burch flats on shop bop for £60! I haven't used that particular site before , is it any good?

It's really annoying as my Internet server knows I'm in France so redirects me to the French sites. I can't speak French so it can be highly frustrating! I will see if there is a uk stockist as I would ideally like To try them on first and maybe buy a few more pairs

decameron thankyou for both the discount code and the links to the bag (I actually like it) I love the bag you have just ordered.

I can see me buying nothing until I actually hit the stores in London. Guess ill need to have a little patience and in the mean while enjoy looking at all your lovely purchases.

Quick question, I have a pair of French soles which have always been tight. I blamed the pregnancy but 15 months later that excuse is wearing thin. Is there a way I could stretch them? If not i might be offering them up here...

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:19

Neither I pad or I phone will allow me access to the Chanel site to post the link to my bag. Don't they know its 2013 and most of the world uses tablet? V frustrating!

mignonette · 06/06/2013 08:23

Barbie! - doesn't a translate button pop up across the top of your screen? I'm very happy that Merci in Paris now ship to the UK. I love that store.

mignonette · 06/06/2013 08:25

Oh and Barbie take the shoes to a cobblers and they'll stretch them on a last.

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 08:28

French Soles always come up small IME Barbie - you can buy shoe stretcher and then wear them with a couple of pairs of socks but if not they usually sell quite well on EBay
this type of thing

OP posts:
Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:30

Cobblers, doh! Now why didn't I think of that.

The translate button doesn't appear, I can set my VPN to think I'm in the uk but its such a faff. 9 times out of 10 I can navigate but in case of return policies etc things become a little tricky.

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:33

shop I have that spray but I'm worried about stretching them in case they still don't fit and I mis shape them and ruin them enough so they don't fit anyone else. It will be such a waste. French sole do come up small, especially the slimmer styles. I had two pairs, one fitted perfect but the others in the same style and size but I different design make me weep!

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:35

these

Annianni · 06/06/2013 08:36

Morning all...

Barbie, wear the shoes with socks and put the hairdryer on them whilst wiggling your toes.
It's supposed to work quite well, think Shop did it successfully recently.

Thanks Sleep and Decam, I have ordered the Pistols.
They should be here tomorrow.

Lovely bag Decameron.
I almost ordered it in the grey, but I think it's nubuck which would be filthy within a week, with ds2's sticky paws.

Also ordered a grey-ish Splendid tee and a navy By Malene Birger slouchy vest.

The maternity Wang dress should be here today.
Probably go to the zoo later, if it comes early enough.

Those sandals are lovely Drywhite.
Hope your dd is ok.

Dsd is almost 16 and has a great bunch of friends.
But when they are younger and there's hormones flying about, they can be hideous.

mignonette · 06/06/2013 08:38

My feet have grown by 2 sizes in the last fifteen years Shock and it is near impossible to buy shoes mail order with any guarantees that they'll fit. Italian brands are the most unpredictable (especially Marni).

I've been enjoying shopping on Cocosa.com lately. Lots of bargains there including good S/S daywear. I'm not a floaty sundress/maxidress person as they do not suit me but there were some lovely DVF ones if you suit them.

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:40

annianna could you please link to the vest? I have vest o all colours on the essential list. Thank you

Annianni · 06/06/2013 08:41

Also Barbie, Shopbop is fab but only order if you definitely want the item, as returns are expensive.

Annianni · 06/06/2013 08:43

I'll just feed the boys then i'll fire up the laptop and link for you Barbie.

Barbie1 · 06/06/2013 08:46

Eek, please don't go to all that trouble. I can wait. I have at least another week before I can order anything anyway. Smile

mignonette · 06/06/2013 08:51

Drywhite - those 'Sharna's are lovely. I have similar pair in metallics but they do not go with everything whereas yours do. I'm still wearing last years Clarks flat sandals with ankle strap because they haven't dated at all- pale teal and caramel straps, flat leather sole. I also have a pair of leopard print desert boots and ochre yellow forties t straps which are still very current. They're on my pinterest 'what i want, what i have' board.

I also love these

www.allaboutyou.com/fashion-and-beauty/buys/comfort-shoes-spring-fashion-2013#null

(I've forgotten how to do the 'here' link thing)

Whatever would we do without Clarks?

I'm glad to be back on this thread [waves to the posters from last year]. I posted a lot last year but both DH and I have experienced the deaths of our fathers over the last 10 months (DH only a couple of months ago) and I've been feeling pretty battered and unmotivated to do anything. So things are looking up and I am noticing and buying new clothes again.

Nice to see Kate Upton on the cover of US Vogue this month-the fashion industry considers her 'outsize' [shocked]......

Annianni · 06/06/2013 09:27

The boys have pancakes...

Vest for Barbie only large left in the navy, but there are other colours.

mignonette · 06/06/2013 09:28

These are my new purse clutches from Merci-Paris. Such good value and quality leather that I bought two. Plus deciding between the two colours was beyond me!

morning all.

dry girls can be super mean.i know the feeling you are going through worrying about her all day must be very stressful on you ,i really hope it gets better for her.

barbie shopbop is great, but i only order things i know will fit as returns can be a bother .i cant access chanel with ipad too,and there is no appSad.

dec chip and biff are dear friends of mine, Grin.

mignonette so sorry to hear about your loss.it must be difficult for both of you.

i stopped reading mags a while ago but couldnt resist the kate upton cover she is gorgeous.

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2013 09:46

dec love your new bag. The gap one was lovely but this is the one I got which is now online bag. I got the navy but it was a close call with the grey. I am wondering whether I could justify the grey too Grin.

I still haven't ordered the saltwaters as was busy wrapping presents last night. My baby dd is 2 today.

mignonette hello, haven't 'met' you yet but wanted to say sorry for your losses. Glad you've got your shopping mojo back though.

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 10:53

Mignonette how lovely to have you back on full form! I saw lots of Pins from you and hoped you might reappear. Sending hugs and so sorry for both losses - so terribly hard. Too much to deal with in a short space of time.
I love those Clarks sandals - words I never thought I'd say!
