I had grumpy arse dhl man today... who told me off the last time he came, for leaving the parcel open!?
I was too shocked at the time, to say anything back to him.

Hope it's nice dhl man tomorrow with the Pistols and tee's.

The Wang is lovely, but I do look rather pregnant in it :o

Hope you feel better soon Liberty
I can't see your shoe link unfortunately.

My shorts are now mid-thigh and slightly wonky (the edges, as well as my thighs)
I so need to shred...

Annianni · 06/06/2013 14:51

How did your teaching thing go Foxy?

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 15:00

Well done on the shred guys, and thanks for the body shape feedback.
Have an old bikini on from pre DS as we haven't been abroad since. I need a new one that stops my boobs from sagging :)

Anni every time I leave the boxes open the DHL guy tells me not to bother, but every time I call to book a collection they tell me you have to. It'd be nice if the drivers and the call centre agreed! Other than that all the guys who've been here are lovely.

Bought this doesn't count as a spend inspired by the lovely orange dress someone bought a few weeks ago. Wearing it with white vest and with white cropped skinnies and flip flops........an outfit entirely inspired by this thread.

shop would this help? Haven't done it myself as I'm obviously a pear, a little one, more of a Seckel than a Bartlett tbh Grin
Have bought pore serum and a new foundation

Migonette hello. So sorry for your recent losses.
Love the sandals you linked and the Merci clutches.....good price for nice leather.

My delivery man is called Dougie....ever so nice would be with a name like that

Grumpy love the colour and style of the Zara kimono top...v pretty.

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2013 15:37

H and M top in orange

OneLittleLady · 06/06/2013 15:46

Todays outfit is blue skinnies, a black sleeveless tee with rocket ships printed on it and cream and blue spotty trainer socks. I clearly don't feel my body has had enough punishment after doing the shred so I'm currently dancing round to Motley Crue whilst doing the housework and checking on my various e-mails that I'm expecting

mignonette · 06/06/2013 15:58

Anni Yes, guilty as charged- I have loads of books. We use them as extraneous 'cavity wall' insulation Smile...

I love those Edelmans, Shop. I have been pinning away these last few days having been absent from pint since last November. I too have a swimwear crisis having tried to move away from my customary styles- all in one with shorts legs or basic modest bikini. I have bought a white one but gulp every time I look at it. I do not tan you see...That glossy caramel skinned look is not going to happen for me. I never thought I'd shop in Clarks regularly but they have nailed the major trends in shoes these last few seasons and of course, they're comfortable too (which is increasingly my age related fashion criteria these days).....

QueenCadbury I love Saltwater. I have a beautiful shetland wool cardigan in a limey-green-yellow marl (which sounds hideous but it's not) that will outlive me such is its quality at a really good price. It's several years old now.

Talking of high street, I found two amazingly good quality stretch lycra/cotton tube skirts from Matalan. One in black, the other a geometric black and white optical. They were between £8-12 each and came in a myriad of marl, stripe and plain. A great investment buy at a non investment price. The fabric is really thick and corset like in its stretch. They had some lovely opaque cotton slouch T's in marl shades of cream, biscuit, apricot, grey too. Excellent quality with nice flat seams, long in the body and arms which my yoga going friend tells me is vital.

mignonette · 06/06/2013 16:04

Oh and today's outfit is Great Plains geometric print cigarette leg pants in navy, cream and dusty pink worn with a slouch deep scoop neck cotton Malene Birger T, metallic silver and beige suede ankle strap sandals and my beige suede satchel clutch bought from the Tate Modern store years ago (Ally Cappellino).

Nice, safe working clothes!

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 16:51

Dry I'm a Vase - who knew?!
Glad you found some skincare goodies - did you get the Clinique?

mignonette if that's you on pinterest, it would seem we have some similar tastes Smile I don't know the ins and outs but I'm sorry you've had a tough time and I hope things are getting better for you

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2013 17:49

Yes shop my spending ban is going well isn't it?
White skinnies lasted 3hrs.....now in wash after an argument with a cup of tea....thank goodness they were cheap, I'm worse than a toddler Grin

shopafrolic · 06/06/2013 18:00

We'll just say beauty products don't count Dry
LOL at skinnies accident!

OneLittleLady

Hi! That's me. I'm trying to push the horrid stuff out of my mind as much as I can. There's the usual extended family c**p that too frequently accompanies bereavement so I stay out of that where possible.

I think I have followed as many of the posters here as I can find on PinT.

I do have some bits and pieces to swap/sell in the near future on the MN swap board.

I found an immaculate vintage Thierry Mugler cream wool jacket in an antiques barn in East Anglia a few weeks ago. I plan to send some pictures to Kerry Taylor clothing auctions as I think it could fetch a decent amount. It only cost £23 as they didn't recognise the label which is quite rare these days with google. It is beautiful but I do not have a cream wool crepe jacket life!

I am always spilling/dripping/throwing things down my clothes. I am the messiest person ever and wilfully disregard dry cleaning labels. I have never met a dryclean item that I couldn't wash into submission.

Specialbrew · 06/06/2013 18:46

Long time lurker and occasional poster. Just wanted to say thanks to whoever posted the info about the LKBennett Floretes on sale. I looked at them a few months back and fell in love with the heel shape, but at full price they were too expensive. I got the redcurrant which are a kind of dusky dark pink, and the red and black snakeskin (two pairs for the price of one!). I normally stick to navy or black so this was a bit of a departure for me, but I got them today and LOVE them.

I can now give my Rupert Sanderson tango, and Jimmy Choo agnes navy pairs a bit of a rest.

Keep the sale links coming, although that's it for me for this month

LinusDKD · 06/06/2013 19:08

Hello specialbrew! 2 pairs of floretes, well done!

shop happy you finally were able to buy those S. Edelmans. I managed to buy the Asos pencil skirt in berry today as my size was back in stock! I love when that happens.

QueenC good advice! The tee is 100% cotton but I don't have many Zara items so have no idea what the quality is like.

Barbie I hope you feel better soon!

Mignonette so sorry to hear about your losses, it must be so tough.
Your nickname reminds me of my favourite Belgian chocolates by Côte d'Or. Oh thanks for linking to those Merci clutches, they are gorgeous.

foxysocks · 06/06/2013 19:18

thanks for asking anni, it went brilliantly. same again next week, and has given me a bit of confidence to try and set up a few more sessions. it's something i spend lots of time and money on for myself so makes sense to pass it on (and earn some spends in the meantime)

sorry am on phone which means brief posts. busy times.

Gillybobs · 06/06/2013 19:38

Evening ladies, a brief interruption from me on the body measurements topic. When you do the House of Colour style day there is real in depth discussion on this and I do recall they believe the perfect hourglass has hips 2 inches wider than bust. So a bigger differential makes you a pear and less would have you veering towards Apple. My own measurements were identical making me slightly apple. Hope that's helpful.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 06/06/2013 20:12

Who was it who bought the Zara skort? Have been toying with the notion and then bought Grazia today where they have their own 2 page spread, which has convinced me (if Olivia Palermo wants them, I do too Grin).

I've ordered the ecru, before they sell out, but the magazine also featured a cobalt pair, which I can't find on the website. Do they exist? Have they sold out, or not been released yet? I'd reeeeaaally like a pair in cobalt....

OneLittleLady · 06/06/2013 20:26

ooooh, gilly that two inch difference would make me a perfect hourglass then! Grin

mignonette · 06/06/2013 20:26

I read the 'Skort' feature alongside other writings and was amused that some writers think that the term 'skort' is new. In Grazia, Caroline Ferry says "may we introduce Zara's short origami culottes, or- as we're calling them-the Skort skirt+shorts-geddit)"

I can remember a skort in my mother's 'Freemans' catalogue back in the early 80's and the early Next catalogues had them too.

The name isn't new. Can anybody else recall these much earlier skorts?

I did think that Olivia P is looking way over styled lately, especially in her skorts- shirt+blazer+sweater+skort+YSL bag+sunglasses+watch+brogues.

All too self conscious. I think they look best worn either very casually or super smart but simply accompanied. The grey two tone sweater, sloppy Fedora and white skorts look in Grazia looked good.

LinusDKD · 06/06/2013 20:26

I think it was hopefully and maybe someone else.

On the Zara Switzerland website they also have a black version but no cobalt one.

Envy that you have the legs to wear that skort.

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2013 20:30

It was Hopefully....here...,,,Hopefully I love your blog. You look as if you're about to burst out laughing in a lot of your pics and the bike shots were classics!

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2013 20:31

White skinnies survived tea attack!
