travellingwilbury · 09/07/2013 17:08

Thank you , bloody Hell that sounds big .

Stupid phone , if a thread has over 500 then it goes on a go slow .

Will have a look in town tomorrow hopefully .

SorrelForbes · 09/07/2013 17:17

cjbk1 Oh dear? Sounds like a crap day. Wine

thriftychic · 09/07/2013 20:40

im a bit late with all this bra sizing cafuffle Grin but if anyone can advise it would be appreciated . i have hardly any boobs at all and what i have got are like two deflated balloons ! when i bend forward i seem to have two pointed dangling...well...things , dont think you could call them boobs actually !

anyway , underneath i measure 30 and over 32

I have been wearing 34A but dont seem to really fill it . what size should i be ?

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/07/2013 20:42

Start by trying a 30B - which will have a smaller volume than the 34A because of the way bras work.

thriftychic · 09/07/2013 21:33

thankyou Smile

whats4teamum · 10/07/2013 09:50

Finally located a tape measure and found I am 32 under and 41 over. Currently in a 36E.

Am I completely wrong.

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 09:52

You are indeed - try a 32G

SorrelForbes · 10/07/2013 10:12

Can anyone remember which poster on the bra threads lost a lot of weight recently and is now a 26? My friend ordered this bra in a 28. She measures 27 and can't get it done up back to front!

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 10:16

It's "inmysparetime" sorrel - she's now needing a 26

SorrelForbes · 10/07/2013 10:43

Cheers Stats. I think this one would do her, it's bloody tiny and available on ebay in lots of different cups.

Canalside · 10/07/2013 13:37

Hi,

So I went to bravissimo, and got fitted into a 32GG Royce Charlotte nursing bra (had been in a slightly unsupportive due to stretch and weight loss 34GG) which seems OK, and a 30H Panache Sophie which just... doesn't seem right. I like the shape it gives me, looks a bit better under clothes but after a couple of hours wearing in round the house this morning I'd had to tighten it to the 3rd hook and the shoulder straps were really digging into my shoulders, leaving red marks and dents. This was despite being loosened to the longest they would go.

Am I right in thinking this is a case of the band being too big? Cup size seems OK, or is it possible that I should just give up on that style?

Am planning on giving up breastfeeding in the not too distant future as am fed up of being bitten by my darling jaws child. So it's not too bad if I end up in a couple of Royce Charlottes, for comfort if not style.

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 18:29

Hmm, I don't have much experience of the nursing bras but I do remember hearing that the Sophie comes up big and stretchy. Could you pop back to bravissimo, explain and get them to let you try a 28HH (if it exists)? They are normally excellent at swapping if they get it wrong.

Canalside · 10/07/2013 19:41

Yes, will do. Perhaps it's just not the bra for me. Seems like a neverending search for nursing bra perfection!

Thank you!

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 21:12

If you do keep it up longer term you might want to consider ewa michalaks wired ones

PassTheTwiglets · 11/07/2013 12:28

on the advice of marriednotdead, I ordered 3 from Bravissimo - Cherry Fling, Candy Bliss and Boudoir Beau in a 36JJ. All gave me a fabulous shape and seemed to be the perfect size... BUT.... each one was really uncomfortable as the underwire stuck into my back fat the back of my armpits. On previous bras, the underwire sat directly under my armpit but on all of these it sits much further back, almost onto my back. Is this something to do with those particular styles, perhaps? Surely the underwire isn't supposed to be there, is it?

Hazelanne · 11/07/2013 13:17

Help please, I've been wearing 34b or 36a (was told they're the same size, not sure if that was correct info or not). Never found bras comfy and hate wearing them, so maybe there's a reason for this...
Just done the measurements and am 33 under and 38.5 over, am going to be shopping later today, what should I be trying?

Thank you

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/07/2013 13:19

try a 32e/f and a 34dd/e

Hazelanne · 11/07/2013 13:24

Thanks, will give those a try and hopefully report back with a success story, will be amazing if it makes a bra a comfy thing to wear!

NigelMolesworth · 11/07/2013 13:38

Ok you lovely lot, I measure 32 and 36.

So if I'm understanding Bra Guru's blog correctly I should be looking at 32D but also should be trying 32C and 32DD? I'm currently in a 34C.

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/07/2013 13:44

32d as a start point yes

NigelMolesworth · 11/07/2013 13:49

That's v kind - thank you. I have just realised that I can fit my whole hand sideways between the band and my body Blush I think that's a fair sign that I am in the wrong size Grin

fayebebaby · 11/07/2013 14:23

Can someone help am currently wearing 36AA am measuring 32 under and 37.5 round or 38 leaning forwar. What should I be wearing also every bra I own I have a problem with the straps slipping off

Adair · 11/07/2013 14:31

Oops, should have posted here... Having just 'scooped' I am realising that my 'perfectly' fitting bra (only one) prob is a bit small... Shock!
Anyway, 29 under, 38 leaning over... Anyone? Thanks.

Calamitykate · 11/07/2013 14:41
