hello and welcome!

Cherry Fling. Tried to photo so you could see shape and low wires
i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll66/brighthair84/281CDB4C-D2DB-4626-8840-9DCCAC9F0EE7-22316-00001D3424EABE39_zps0dc0dd18.jpg

I'd say it was similar to Laurel which is apparently identical to Dotty Spot. If you were between cup sizes I'd go with the bigger one

SorrelForbes · 05/06/2013 14:22

Oh, that's nice EMUZ. Good lift.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 14:32

Oh that is nice. That's useful re Dotty Spot - I have a 30H in dotty which is quite a bit too small in the cup so would probably need a J. I'm between an HH and J in most brav bras i think

SorrelForbes · 05/06/2013 14:39

OK, if I'm normally a 30GG but the 30H in the Bravissimo Mademoiselle was too small in the cup, then what size should I order in the Cherry Fling?

EMUZ · 05/06/2013 14:46

Are you usually a GG in other bravissimo ones?
I'm finding bravissimo runs about 1/2 cup size smaller than panache

NachoAddict · 05/06/2013 15:19

I had lunch with a friend today who seriously needs an intervention. Is there an etiquitte for these things or do you just say, I notice you have an amazing quadraboob there have u considered checking you bra size.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 15:39

I've brought it up in conversation - "read an article", "just been to Bravissimo and the women in the next cubicle was a size 10 and wearing a 36 back" or similar. You could even do the "I came across this really interesting blog...."

SorrelForbes · 05/06/2013 16:57

I've got an elegance in a 30GG which does fit but as a plunge always makes me feel a bit 'unsafe' Grin.

The only other Bravissimo I've tried is the mademoiselle tbh.

ChunkyChicken · 05/06/2013 17:01

statistically I'm really tempted to try the ewa michalak bras. Could you link to one or two that you find work for your "monoboob" issue please? I found it a bit tricky to navigate the site - didn't know where to start!! Want to return them if they don't fit - is a 30G a 'standard'/returnable size generally? Thanks muchly.

EMUZ · 05/06/2013 17:18

I would go for the GG then. I'm beginning to think I'm actually a JJ and deluding myself Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 17:24

I have tried the S, SM and CHP Ewas and tbh, they all work for the monoboob. I think in most of them the 30G is a standard size actually. I the S wisniowska was my first and is fabulous, I have an S Fresh which runs fractionally smaller for some reason. The SM is unpadded and quite open at the top so no quad boob in it, and the CHP is more of a half cup so slightly wider and with wider strap placement.

Make sure you keep every single bit of paper in the box for return purposes - they have some odd rules about receipts and returns and I nearly came a cropper. However - pay by paypal and that way you have backup ;) Joys of international shopping

Sm Trefl - I have this in a 30HH and it still looks like the smaller version (i.e. doesn't have the extra panel

s wisni

These both show as in stock so are returnable. I think it's if you have to email them to request a size that isn't on the dropdown that its a custom

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 17:25

OH, 30HH is my Freya/Fantasie size to give you an idea of how these ones fit.

LittleMachine · 05/06/2013 17:51

I've read loads of these threads and got rid of a load of ill-fitting bras because of it. I still can't seem to find bras that are a really good fit though, even though I've tried a range of sizes, and I've scooped and everything! Any advice welcome.
I'm a 31 inch back and usually a 35 around my boobs but this has varied at different times.(maybe I'd be ok if you could get a 31D or whatever.)

I seem to have quite wide boobs. Not wide apart from each other, but they go quite far towards my back if that makes sense? I think this is the problem.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 18:11

Which bras have you tried littlemachine? It sounds like you might have a slightly trickier breast shape so it's a case of trying to narrow down which bras will suit you.

LittleMachine · 05/06/2013 18:43

It doesn't help that they've headed south after bfing! So the top is flatter and the bottom fuller.
I've mostly tried normal shaped bras, both padded and un-padded. Some balconettes have seemed ok but I go from overspill to too big in one size. Same with normal shaped bras - I go from squished boobs to practically empty cups between two sizes.

LittleMachine · 05/06/2013 18:45

Oops posted too soon. Tried a range of 30s from C-E I think. And 32C to DD. None seem a great fit. Today I'm wearing a 30C.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 18:51

On your measurements I would expect a 30C to be running a bit small in the cup - how does it feel?

I would think balconettes would be good as IME they tend to be wider. Have you tried anything from the curvy Kate Showgirl range?

LittleMachine · 05/06/2013 19:05

It's ok round the back - I can get my whole hand in the back of all my 32s I think. Admittedly it is tight in the cup. I've got it on because it's got thin straps and that's all!

I haven't heard of that range. I'll have a look online. I was a 30C before pregnancy and bfing and liked the ultimo and miss ultimo ranges. I have been measured since, but not accurately. I've been measured as a 34 back almost every time.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 19:24

I've had the curvy kate tease me and also tried fleurty and entice and found the cups wide. They run small in cup and have very stretchy backs so try a 30d and dd

LittleMachine · 05/06/2013 19:30

Thanks Stat, I'll let you know how I get on.

ChunkyChicken · 05/06/2013 19:39

Thanks statistically that's great. I'll look into those. Have got the Freya untamed (??) on order from Bravissimo so will try that too.

Bras should be subsidised or tax deductible or something - it gets bloody expensive. But then, if women pay VAT on tampons etc, then they're hardly like to support mere 'clothes' being cheaper!!

marriednotdead · 05/06/2013 21:51

For clarity.

Bravissimo Cherry Fling's closest relative fit wise is a cross between the almost defunct Daisy Chain and the Betsey Bow. It's quite a deep cup so good if Cleo bras are usually your best fit.

The Laurel fits completely differently to the Dotty Spot (better) but runs a whole cup smaller. It's probably got one of the lowest side wires yet, even lower than the Boudoir Beau.

Hopasholic · 05/06/2013 22:26

Hello boob experts!
I have an appointment at M&S tomorrow for a bra fitting. I have recently lost weight & am in desperate need of a few good fitting bras!
I'll be very interested to see what size they advise, I've just whipped em out and measure 32 round the back and 40 when hanging over. Reckon that this should put me at a 32FF Shock is that right?

I will report back Smile

SorrelForbes · 05/06/2013 22:32

Yep that's about right but I would guess that M&S will fit you at a 36D/ 38C

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 22:39

run away from m and s!

married does cherry fling have the tight back of betsy bow? I adore that bra so will be ordering cherry but I had to go for a 32hh in betsy which is unheard of for me. my best alana fit is a 30j and I have satines in a 30hh that are maybe half a cup small-don't mind cos they are cleavage bras Grin
