OP posts:
marriednotdead · 03/06/2013 21:35

Jasmine is at Bravissimo now- get in quick EMUZ!

EMUZ · 03/06/2013 21:41

Oh god...

And I've got to wrestle out of it to see what size it is

EMUZ · 03/06/2013 21:45

Now I'm torn which other one to get.. Boudoir beau, candy bliss or cherry fling
If it helps I have the darling heart and laurel and love both

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/06/2013 21:48

Dont tempt me with new bras!

I still need to try Jasmine - any idea if it would suit my freaky boobs married?

EMUZ · 03/06/2013 21:50

Jasmine has a lovely stretch lace at the top which fits my sometimes J, sometimes JJ boobs
Would say gore is narrow, higher but doesn't dig in. Side wires low too
Have gone for cherry fling Grin

marriednotdead · 03/06/2013 22:35

Good choice EMUZ Smile

SC I've just scrolled back to reacquaint myself with you self description.

It's a very deep cup- if you can wear the Cleo non padded styles then it will be great, otherwise I suspect the central gore will dig like buggery.

OneLittleLady · 03/06/2013 22:42

I'm struggling a bit with my bras. The 36E's, the strap rubs at the back round my shoulder blade and I can pull the front a good four five inches away from my chest. The 34F's I can still pull the back out a good few inches and they don't seem to 'stay in place' plus I don't think I'm getting the right amount of lift with any of the bras. New Measurements are 35 inches underbust and 43.5 on the bust when bent over at 90 degrees, 42 when stood up straight.

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/06/2013 22:43

I need to try cleo properly. ..I have a meg which I have never worn-I think because my boobs are top heavy and high I felt a bit insecure in it at the outside top. wasn't a size issue as bigger cup gaped.

EMUZ · 03/06/2013 22:43

Deep cup is interesting. I can't get on with Curvy Kate at all and Freya is a disaster zone (centre gore never lies flat)
Panache and Bravissimo own brand with the odd debenhams seem to be my standard. Wish they would make the Satine in a JJ

marriednotdead · 03/06/2013 22:52

May be a style issue Onelittlelady, which ones have you got?

EMUZ Freya is shit not strong enough in your size.

Have you tried the Starburt/Dixie/Ring 'o Roses? They fit true to size whereas the Satine runs a bit small. The fabric doesn't give as easily as the Satine either.

OneLittleLady · 03/06/2013 22:58

My 36E's are the curvy kate Gia in red, black and blush. They are huge on the back, they are the ones I can pull completely off my norks. The cups are large, with plenty of space for scooping. Gore sits flat on the blush and black but not on the red. My 34F's are two plunge moulded bras from New Look. Cup fits fine but I can still pull the back out. Not so much room for scoopage in these. Back fat is less in the 34's than the 36's though is vastly reduced in both from what it was before I came to this thread (for those that don't know, I was measured originally in debenhams as a 36A and then again in ann summers and simply be as a 40C)

EMUZ · 03/06/2013 23:01

Bravissimo may also have said Freya is um... Yeah Wink
I haven't but my Satine is a 34J and too big in back really so I save it for glam cleavage dresses. So I would need a 32 really which takes me to a JJ
Just occasionally I like the boobs up to chin effect Grin

marriednotdead · 04/06/2013 04:54

Onelittlelady
CK are notorious for loose fitting bands and it may be that the style is too spread out for the shape of your breasts which is why the plunges are sitting a bit better. I'd suggest trying a different style and considering going further down in the band or cup. Remember, if it is comfortable on the tightest hook but fits apart from that, you need to go down a band and up a cup.

EMUZ
That's what I'm saying. If you really need a 32JJ Satine, then the styles I've mentioned will almost certainly fit in 32J and give you more oomph!

ChunkyChicken · 05/06/2013 07:35

Houston Bra experts, we have a problem...

Everything about the Panache Tango plunge fits & is wonderful. Except the fact that my freakishly close-set boobs mean the underwires dig in a touch. It was fine during wear but by the end of the day, I felt like my sternum was bruised. It's not so bad I can't wear the bra today (ignoring the slight hygiene issue - I have 1 bra that fits!! :( )

Is this a style issue or the fact I haven't worn an underwire since about March 2012?

I have a freya untamed on order, as well as different colour tangos. They didn't have a idina in my size.

Any thoughts? Ta.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 08:00

That sounds exactly like what happens to me any time I wear a plunge Chunky. I never wear a plunge for more than one day, and wear my Ewa Michalaks a lot alongside things like my Bravissimo Betsy Bow which is higher so the whole middle bit probably technically sits on tissue but at least doesn't hurt because the weight is spread. On me, I get a very sore bit roughly where the end of the wires on plunges is and definitely feel bruised if worn for too long.

ChunkyChicken · 05/06/2013 08:45

Damn. Thanks statistically. I'll check the size options of the Betsy Bow. Any other styles you recommend? Don't want to risk the Eva Michalaks in case they don't fit, esp as my boobs are v changeable cos of the bf.

ChunkyChicken · 05/06/2013 08:47

Actually the Idina was in my size - I was lying!! It was I thought it couldn't be converted but actually I don't need it converted... I'll just pop my boob over the top as I've been doing with the tango.

EMUZ · 05/06/2013 09:37

Ooooh pretty new bras SmileSmile
Jasmine lovely in this red colour. Panache have starched it to hell as usual so needs a wash to soften
Cherry Fling - uplifting much! Slightly pointy shape, low under arm wires and lower gore. Slightly let down by the denim fabric bit which feels slippery cheap. But hey, I'll let them off as their own brand bras feel custom made to me Grin
Came up truer to size in back (I went for my upper band size) and same in cup (I went for bigger cup size. Bravissimo own brand seem to fit me about 1/2 cup smaller than Panache (sometimes I get away with a J in Panache but always need a JJ in Bravissimo)

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 11:53

Emuz how did cherry fling come up compared to likes of the Alana? I have my eye on it (and half the new collection)

Mabelface · 05/06/2013 12:03

Okay, I had a feeling I wasn't quite wearing the correct size and I measured using the MN way. 35.2" underboob and 47.6 on boob. Doesn't that make me a 34J or JJ? I'm currently wearing a 36H.

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 12:10

From those measurements I would normally suggest trying a 34J, 34JJ, 36J and 36HH so it could be right as the cup size measure is only approximate and it's pretty close. How does your bra feel though - is it comfortable, does the back ride up, do you have any quad boob, back fat, armpit hamsters, digging in, pain....

Mabelface · 05/06/2013 12:44

The middle bit doesn't sit flat against my chest, they're not quite as high as I'd like them to be and there's a little too much room around the back. Time for a trip to Simply Be to try on a multitude of bras. Thank you.

(fucking hell! A J or JJ!!!!!!!!!! Time to lose some weight!)

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/06/2013 12:54

In that case I would definitely suggest trying the 34J and JJ as it sounds like it's not doing what you need it to. Best brands for bigger boobs seem to be Panache (also cleo/masquerade) and Bravissimo - Freya are a bit weak for bigger norks

EMUZ · 05/06/2013 13:21

I don't have the Alana to compare Sad

Mabelface · 05/06/2013 13:25

Yes, I did like Freya when I was a little smaller, but the one I have doesn't do the job now. Cheers missis! Grin
