is this the MNV jumper? have ordered it in a 12- what's AV sizing like? If a size 13 existed I'd be sorted. There's a nice raspberry t shirt too.
Am pissed off with STBXP so shopping cathartically and in an unhinged fashion to get revenge .

This nocturnal browsing is dangerous. >
Will nip back to asos to see if grey sweatshirts appear in the sale...Back toot suite...

LeFreakCestChic · 08/04/2013 23:03

Bah, stupid iPhone keeps losing links.
foxy, is the whistles one cropped? Looks lovely.

quite like this too

LeFreakCestChic · 08/04/2013 23:08

Sorry, shop, not foxy.

comedy frills

libertychick · 08/04/2013 23:08

Loving all the trainer links. I can't find navy NBs in my size anywhere so just decided 'sod it' and ordered the same grey/yellow ones that Amber has Grin. Ever so slightly worried that all the MNVers in my age range think they can't pull them off. I am planning to wear them a la Phoebe with black trousers and a slouchy jumper and will just chuckle knowingly to myself when people assume I am changing my footwear at work Wink

Marsha My repeat purchase is stripy tops - have so many and still feel I NEED more.

Carrie how amazing you got your bag back! Great story.

libertychick · 08/04/2013 23:22

Ohhh I like the skull print sweater LeFreak...

Annianni · 09/04/2013 07:58

I think the mnv sweater is a looser fit than that lefreak.

I think the PP look is dependant on where you live too, to a certain degree.
If I wore NB's and leather leggings on the school run, it wouldn't be pretty :o
Whereas in London, there's more diversity. Does that make sense?

shopafrolic · 09/04/2013 08:13

LeFreak Whistles sweat is shorter at the front, sits just on or slightly above waistband. Not cropped exactly, but not a long one.
Will link to MNVsweater once up and about. It's on my Pin somewhere just phone is rubbish for Pinterest. It's not that one. It's thicker and more boxy.

I've lost 3 & 1/4lbs in 5 days, so I'm in a great mood today :o

shopafrolic · 09/04/2013 08:47

Wow! Well done Anni

Well done Anni!

Yes London can make it work, also style too. So I can imagine on some of my friends it would really work, but on others it would clash as they have a vintage, prints or very classic type look.

I still love the PP style, black polo hair tucked in, minimal make up looks great. Although I still don't think I could, but am slightly obsessing about the too £££ Marant white ones.

Funny how we are often searching for the perfect version of the one thing.

shopafrolic · 09/04/2013 09:52

I actually NEEEEEED two vest tops / tees now, one orange, one yellow. I have a £20 M&S voucher so am heading there to see if they have any half decent colours. Previous experience tells me they won't. I'll probably end up buying the snakeskin flats instead! I am hating this shopping ban!
What I really want is:
this vest
this tee
and this
orange

foxysocks · 09/04/2013 09:54

i would totes wear leather leggings on the school run, despite being the only one who would. if I had any! I would like some actually.

i barely wear any makeup as I CBA but i like to think I get away with it Grin

still checking outnet in case some more yellow tees come in. am onto a lost cause, who will return a £9 tee when they charge £6 to restock?! give it up Foxy.

foxysocks · 09/04/2013 09:56

love that AV shop, thank F they don't have my size as I don't have £50 either. to you. any news on DHs job hunt?

AmberNectarine · 09/04/2013 10:47

Those AV vests go baggy.

carrie74 · 09/04/2013 10:56

Those AV Ts are so like the stuff you can get ten a penny in the US. If there's lots of interest, may be worth clubbing together to share the shipping cost to the UK? I've been wearing AE stuff for a few years, decent quality, washes well, holds shape. Denim shorts good. It's quite a "young" shop, but H tends to buy his swimmers and shorts from there too.

www.ae.com/web/browse/category.jsp?catId=cat6080088

But I'd size up (and bear in mind US sizing too!). They do tend on that v fitted, preppy look (US fashion not really into the slouch yet). I'm a 10 on top, and bought a L T for a more relaxed fit (would have bought a S or M for fitted look).

carrie74 · 09/04/2013 10:56

Argh, links!!

shopafrolic · 09/04/2013 11:41

No news on DH yet. He has meetings with recruiters this morning, some things in the pipeline but nothing firm yet. It's still early days I guess.
Amber thanks for the tip on the vests - that makes me feel a little better.
So I'm back from M&S and I've bought the snakeskin slippers - thanks Anni (I think from memory?) they are great and with the vouchers I had they only cost £20.
It's our wedding anniversary on Thursday - DH doesn't know it yet but he's treated me to a £12.50 neon yellow tee! Doesn't break the bank too much.....
Carrie good idea re: sharing costs of shipping if you know your sizes and what you want.

I got a soggy foot on the school run this morning-my gold converse have a split in them. Perfect excuse to buy more converse/adidas/anything (ignoring the fact that I have another 3 pairs of converse!). Just need to decide on a colour...

libertychick · 09/04/2013 13:26

Shop it was me who linked the M&S snakeskin slippers - how did you find the sizing, the 6 were too big on me so I have reordered in a 5 - picking them up tomorrow really hoping they will fit....

QueenC Office have leopard print converse that look great and would work with similar looks to gold??

shopafrolic · 09/04/2013 13:50

Ohhh Liberty apologies! They are absolutely fab, and a much warmer grey IRL. I had to go down half a size. I have to say M&S are fab for doing half sizes! I'm normally a 7.5 so bought the 7. Thank you - they've really cheered me up. Thanks
QueenC customise your own pair - any colour, any sole, any laces - delivery within 3 wks max

My Gap delivery is here...

Amber's coat is fab, definite keeper.
Navy jacket is ok-ish. But the sleeves are too long, even for my long arms, the arms are incredibly wide too. And it's got really cheap nasty buttons on. So it's going back, by the time I put new buttons on and took the sleeves in, I might as well have bought something more expensive/nicer.
Short trench is quite nice. But a bit big (and creased to hell) so I've ordered a smaller size to try.
I've also kept a plain vest, to try instead of my h&m ones, which the hems are all loose on Hmm
And white and navy plain cheap tee's.

I do like those M&S snake flats but the last time I tried shoes in there, they didn't fit me. Might try those though, seeing as they have half sizes.

QueenCadbury · 09/04/2013 14:10

Thanks for the recommendations...liberty leopard print isn't really me I'm afraid and shop I'll look into customising but can't check it out on iPad.

anni would you say that the navy parka is waterproof?

Annianni · 09/04/2013 14:12

It has a label on that says water resistant.
I've got a similar black Gap one, and it's ok in the rain.

QueenCadbury · 09/04/2013 14:13

Although I'm liking snow leopard

QueenCadbury · 09/04/2013 14:14

Why would anyone want chips???
