Hi everyone, I am in taxi on the way to Gatwick, yay! Wearing new white Supergas I dashed out to get this morning, cropped Zara distressed jeans (not perfect but will do for now for £40). V neck charcoal linen zadig T with butterfly on back, grey cashmere poncho and blue/grey leopard print cashmere scarf, orange bag...AND NO COAT Grin. So happy.

Love the Supergas, had to size down, is that normal? Rubbing my little toe a bit but sure it will be ok.

Novice hope the vomit was a one off. Weird how our
MNV families seem to all be getting the same bugs!

QueenC Reeses peanut cups...yummSmile
Enjoy the sunshine in style everyone Smile

MarshaBrady · 07/04/2013 16:55

Sleep have a fabulous time! Smile.

Shop sounds lovely.

Lovely stuff MrsR, I really like the Whistles trouser, love a good pocket and the wide stripe Whistles sweater. All of it is fab.

Sounds nice Dry!

Am wearing MiH is storm, orange mnv and Bruno blazer with snakeskin flats. Lovely Spring weather.

shopafrolic · 07/04/2013 17:02

Didn't need a scarf Novice! How brilliant!

Hello all - had some solo shopping time earlier as had to get DH some birthday presents. Bought him lots of bits from Gap and some diesel jeans (he is very preppy) and have ordered him some new trainers. Realised yesterday that we have matching grey NBs a I bought him a pair for Christmas. Also picked up a cute green belt from Gap and this cute top at the Kooples outlet store which I liked last summer but didn't buy as it seemed overpriced. At less than half price I am happy though! Also ordered this necklace from Etsy while I was on early shift with the kids!

foxysocks · 07/04/2013 18:46

nice outfits sleep and marsha. i've heard that superga run a bit large, defo.

great shopping as always amber, love the idea of using an early shift to get some stuff ordered!

I did this look today pinterest.com/pin/250231323018213417/ with j brand skinnies, whistles breton (which annoyingly needs ironing but has washed well, so c'est la vie), jalouse, gold cuff (kurt geiger sale, randomly) and rose gold MK watch.

also wore the still gorgeous R&B biker when we went out. I've been reading Overdressed and been checking all the seams, fabric etc of my clothes... that biker is up there with the best, the quality and finish is really amazing.

QueenCadbury · 07/04/2013 20:42

foxy I'm in the middle of that book too.

I think it was me that linked the warehouse top so glad you liked it novice.

I lived in track suit trousers and tee today-swimming, getting the house back to order after the Easter hols and a trip to the tip. At least it's better than cleaning up vomit! novice I have the same problem with the oak floor Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/04/2013 21:23

Good evening, stylish ones. Joining you courtesy of iPad and free wifi at Irish hotel, so please excuse any typing errors which may occur - I much prefer a conventional keyboard. Having a much-needed hour's r&r before heading down to meet Dh and Bil for a drink and thought I'd catch up with what's going on in MNV land. Enjoying perusing the purchases (and potential purchases). The Paris Vogue vibe has gone down well, thanks liberty. At least it appears to have done, as several people have told me I look 'nice', which means either I'm usually totally minging and they have noticed an effort or it actually does look nice. I'm hoping it's the latter...
Just got v excited as I've discovered my dsis manages the Rosie collection for M&S and I'm looking at their silk cam and pj bottoms. I rang her as the cam was sold out in size 8 as I know she's something in lingerie buying at M&S and thought she may be able to source one for me. Turns out she manages that collection and can get me anything I want! Result! Cue little old wish list.
sleep have a brilliant time, am v jealous Envy

Decameron · 08/04/2013 09:49

Hello MNVers.

We went to Ireland for a week. Wore J Brand mavericks and Ash studded trainers a lot. I came back to the Gigis (perfect, thanks Anni!) and the MrsCB H&M top, which is great for the price. Also have ordered Goldsign Lure jeans as mine are too big.

Foxy, those white Goldsigns look great.

Grumpy, you lucky thing!

Sleep, have a great holiday.

MarshaBrady · 08/04/2013 11:12

Love those Goldsigns Decam.

Grumpy have a fab time.

I'm doing a clear out and just realised I actually have three yellow tshirts Hmm had forgotten about the Marni one.

What do you have lots of, by mistake or by design?

AmberNectarine · 08/04/2013 11:20

Have just ordered some leopard print Zoe K track pants and a midnight blue T by AW asymmetric tank from the outnet. Have fantasies of wearing the two with a pair of flip flops in warmer weather.

I have grey marl coming out of my ears Marsha...

MrsRadicchio · 08/04/2013 12:05

I love those Zoe karssen trousers, amber, can you report back on fit? They look v slim fitting. And how to the Jemima vine shoes come up, big or small?

Thanks for that pin shop, I can create that outfit from my wardrobe so will try when weather improves. Still quite cold when out today!

Marsha, I am really guilty of duplicating items. Its because am trying to find the perfect version and buy loads in my quest. Currently grey sweatshirts though I stopped myself buying the pink flecked one from whistles as I have three already. Also stripey tops, love em but have loads. Tweed jackets too, am currently trying to cull and eBay as none quite right. Am v jealous of your marant, it looks perfect!

Lots of lovely holidays going on!

MrsRadicchio · 08/04/2013 12:07

I also forgot about a top I owned til I saw it on my pinteresr!

AmberNectarine · 08/04/2013 12:22

I will indeed report back MrsR - ordered a small on the basis I am usually one size up from whatever the plastic mannequin wears. JVs are a little large, needed insoles in my 39s, but fab!

carrie74 · 08/04/2013 12:32

Hello All

So much to catch up on!! Hope you've all had lovely Easters (or continue to do so, if you're still on hols). Am back at work today, feeling a little jet-lagged and very unmotivated, and devoting today to clearing most important emails/tasks, and little else.

Bought up a STORM in the US. Ignoring what DH and DC bought, I'll try to do a run down:

White Top and necklaces from Ann Taylor Loft (outlet)

About 2 years' worth of bras and pants from Victoria's Secret (this was the only thing that made me feel sick when I saw the totals)

Gigi's as linked before

A blue and purple striped bikini and black swimming costume, 2 pairs denim shorts, PJ bottoms x 2, 2 racer back vests (white and khaki), oversized grey jumper with neon yellow heart on front from Old Navy (I find them so hit and miss, but this time, got loads)

2 Cozies (grey and red), a fake fur gilet, and drapey vest top from DKNY outlet - superbargainous

2 pairs of Lucky Brand jeans - one skinny in a darker denim (Lola fit), one skinny/straight in a slightly lighter denim (Sophia fit). I've been buying this brand now for a few years, and they always get it right for my shape. Excellent service, really helpful, and the jeans wash and wear v well (hence why I keep going back).

5 skinny belts - 4 in neon colours, 1 in zebra print

Distressed T in loose fit aqua from American Eagle.

Um, I think that's "it". I could have done more, but combined with trips, eating out, DH and DC, we're pretty much spent up!

Things I didn't manage to find for myself included Gap/Banana Republic work trousers (just not quite right), Rag & Bone (didn't see any), Aviators (prices for Ray Bans didn't actually seem like much of a saving), and MAC make-up (I hardly wear any make-up anyway, so what I've got lasts me forever. In fact an eyeshadow I bought to replace one I was using last Easter, I've only just opened).

But all in all, not bad, and I now have an over-flowing wardrobe that needs a(nother) review and weed out.

Annianni · 08/04/2013 12:58

Bravo Carrie :o

Those ZK's are fab Amber

I've just ordered Amber's neon coat but in navy because i'm a wuss.

Also ordered a couple of grey coats, because i'm sick of wearing my parka and after seeing this blog yesterday
Grey coat 1
Grey coat 2

I want to see if they'll work on me, but with Superga, instead of New Balance.
I do like the look of NB's on other people, but I think they'd be like my bowies and end up on ebay.

Also ordered this navy jacket for my navy jacket quest.
Oh, and a couple of vests and tee's.

I'm waiting for the pea coat to arrive, spirals, an incredibly boring navy cotton cardi, plus the above.

I seem to have lots of grey cardigans Marsha

Annianni · 08/04/2013 13:00

Hope you have a fab time Sleep

Very Envy of everyone going on holls, when i'm looking at sodding sheds :o

foxysocks · 08/04/2013 13:13

lovely goldsigns decam

welcome back carrie - tell them about the bag drama! great shopping.

marsha if any of your yellow tees need a new home... Wink

i don't really have lots of doubles/similar stuff, am too strict about not keeping stuff I don't wear.

amber related to your blog, am totes feeling the asos love as well having rarely ordered from them before. am keeping the gigis, the leopard coat is tremaze, am still stalking the NBs and cobalt star trainers in case of further reductions and am mighty tempted by this lovely breton which i've had my eye on for ages and is now in the sale

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2670554

BUT if I buy that, the white goldsigns that i've already ordered plus PP style trainers plus the elusive yellow tee (that i still haven't found, so maybe can discount the possibility) i'll be out of the game for april! and we aren't even a third of the way through. some self-restraint is needed Grin

foxysocks · 08/04/2013 13:14

blah blah links

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2670554

Annianni · 08/04/2013 13:21

Thanks Foxy, I had that breton in my Atterley Rd basket for ages but they sold out. So i've just ordered it :o

Hope the white Goldsign work out for you.

And Decameron, those Goldsign are lovely.

foxysocks · 08/04/2013 13:30

oh good anni! it was more expensive on atterly road too i think, even in the sale, and asos are on quidco....

shopafrolic · 08/04/2013 13:33

Marsha I wish you were the same size as me!! Then I could 'borrow' your forgotten yellow tees!
MrsR can you PM me the links for any tweed jackets you EBAY as I might be interested.....
Anni I loved that grey coat look from the blog, I never would think of putting a Gracie bag with trainers - v nice
Carrie welcome back - great shopping.
I'm spending DS' naptime packing up EBay parcels. With the money I made I think i can treat myself to an orange and a yellow tee or vest - the challenge is I can't find the right type of colours. All the oranges are too flat and the yellows are either neon or too pale. Will keep searching....

carrie74 · 08/04/2013 13:37

I like that second coat, Anni, and the Gap stuff.

Like the Breton Foxy.

Ah yes, the bag trauma. Not too bad (now I'm getting it back)...Came home, LONG trip via Toronto (cheapskates, we fly indirect to save cash), great process, all straightforward, bags were first off the collector belt, called the meet and greeters. H sorts it all out while I re-assemble the car seats and pop them in our car, and he packs the luggage. Big sigh as we head off back home (2 hours from LHR). Stop off in Bristol to pick up H's dry-cleaning, and kids are squabbling to be allowed a go on my phone, so I sigh, head to the boot to get it, and can't immediately see it. "You'll have to wait until we get home, it's under the other bags", says I. Except I have a little niggle that maybe it wasn't there. Still waiting for H and his dry-cleaning, I start unpacking the car. My carry on bag wasn't there. He hadn't packed it (we didn't know if it had been nicked while we'd been distracted, or he'd just forgotten to pack it, and left it hanging on the back of the trolley. Turns out this is what he'd done).

So my carry on bag, containing all our passports (so 4 UK, and my US passport too, I take both), my Mulberry bag (large Anthony messenger), my Mulberry wallet with cash, my driver's licence, 2 CCs and a DC, my iPad 3, my iPhone 5, my Sweaty Betty yoga trousers, my Ralph Lauren sunglasses, all potentially gone. Cancelled the cards on Saturday morning (landed Friday lunchtime), and dithered on the other stuff until I could get through to lost property. Was on hold for 40 mins each time I called, first time nothing, second time they said someone had just been dispatched to sweep up the T3 lost items. Third time they called me - they had it! Relief doesn't even begin to describe it. EVERY time we go to the US, there seems to be some (minor) trauma (3 years ago ash cloud kept us stranded in Orlando for an additional 2 weeks. Was actually fantastic, but screwed up our holidays for the rest of the year; another time we lost DS's favourite teddy, last year one of our return flights was cancelled and we were weren't told. I had to work it out when I wasn't being allowed to check in online. By then, all flights were full and we had to be flown home via Jamaica to LGW, and then cab over to LHR where our car was. BA offered us no compensation or payment for additional costs, bastards.)

foxysocks · 08/04/2013 13:44

carrie when I first heard that you had lost it, and the list of everything included, my heart was literally in my mouth. i thought i was going to throw up for you. goodness knows how you kept it all together over the days it took to sort out, but how fab that there are some great people in the world and it was all handed back intact Smile

what size are you mrsR? remember postage has gone up A LOT if you ebay. is there a for sale board on here? might be worth offering there first.

shop there's a coral one on espirit, not sure if it's what you are after www.esprit.co.uk/women/clothes/t-shirts/basics/long-basic-vest-023CC1K002_688

Annianni · 08/04/2013 14:01

Oh Carrie, i held my breath reading that. Scary stuff. Thank god you've got it back.

I think the breton was £39 on AR Foxy
I never think to do quidco etc, like I never remember to sign in on AR, to get the points.

I've written on my ebay ads, that i'm charging the exact royal mail cost, and not adding anything for packaging etc. I didn't want anyone to think I was taking the p with the costs. I bet loads of people don't know about the increase.

The incredibly boring navy cardigan has just arrived cardi and it's quite nice. A good length and sufficiently slouchy.
I'll have a proper try on later.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 14:05

Oh my gosh carrie what a trauma! So glad you got it all back. And glad you had such a good holiday/shopping trip!

anni loving the grey and navy coats and your pin inspiration. I really love the trainers and although I wear converse I'm just not quite sure that NB are really me.
