i like that anni, would be v useful. is that instead of the AR plastic dry clean only one?

i'm a late adopter of quidco but i do try to remember as it all adds up.

Annianni · 08/04/2013 14:11

Yes Foxy, the plastic one was returned.
And a navy cardigan is on my list, along with a navy jacket and ankle boots.

Annianni · 08/04/2013 14:14

I feel the sameQueenC, I love the Phoebe Philo pins but the look's not for me.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 14:18

Instead of NB I've been thinking of getting adidas but they're so similar to converse really that they won't add anything to my wardrobe.

Annianni · 08/04/2013 14:25

I used to wear those QueenC, I had them in loads of colours.

I did want some Ash virgins, but I liked the pale grey which seems to be sold out everywhere now Sad

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 14:34

The ash virgins are lovely although I couldn't be bothered with doing up all those buckles!

Annianni · 08/04/2013 14:38

I think they have a zip on the side QueenC.

My shopping and internet browsing is over for now, the ds's want to play in the garden Hmm

foxysocks · 08/04/2013 14:40

yes they have a zip queenc. I love love love mine, have them in nude and tan and they are so useful for the in-betweeny weather.

the PP look is very me, i love trainers.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 14:43

Ah, a zip would certainly make sense!

anni mine's over too. Dd has just woken up!

foxy I love the trainers look too but fear I would just look dated and old fashioned rather than on trend.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 08/04/2013 16:14

Oh my goodness Carrie! That's quite a tale! Thank goodness it all turned out well, you must have been stressed to the hilt. Nightmare stuff.

santamarianovella · 08/04/2013 16:34

mrsR i have this zoe karssen pants www.asos.com/Zoe-Karssen/Zoe-Karssen-Leopard-Print-Sweat-Pants/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2714359&cid=13610&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Blue+ribbon and the fit is Devine ,very slim fitting which I like, its more of sport luxe than casual .I usually wear it with ash wedges ,black top and leather jacket.

shopafrolic · 08/04/2013 16:50

A whole afternoon in the garden with DS. Bliss!
Carrie awful bag drama. Such a nightmare getting cards cancelled etc.
Will look at links tonight. Connection slow outside.
Can you get away with NB trainers at 40?

OP posts:
QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 18:16

shop I reckon you can if it's styled appropriate to our advancing years. As I said though i'd look dated and like I just put on any old pair of trainers.

Some more inspiration here

santamarianovella · 08/04/2013 18:41

i agree with queen,it can be done, regardless of age, but notice how these women wear them, they are are teaming them with very smart tailored clothes.no jeans.
i personally cant pull this sort of look off.

MarshaBrady · 08/04/2013 18:48

I really like the Philo look but don't think I can do NB. Closest I can do is the all white Marant, or look a likes, from the other day.

Carrie oh my, you poor thing! SO pleased someone handed it in. Amazing, what relief.

Great Breton buy Foxy!

Anni I really liked that look.

J Crew t has arrived and love it, the colour is excellent (aaargh Foxy) haven't tried it yet. But it's that bright yellow popsicle colour that I love.

Have a few things coming up and really want to wear it with a cough vintage tan leather skirt, to be found.

Hopefully · 08/04/2013 19:18

I would like to do trainers, but I'm just not sure I can carry them off, think I will look too scruffy. Am saving my pennies for the perfect pair of slipper flats and the inevitable repeated resoling that will be required due to the amount I walk (although increase in cycling since buying my own bike means I can even occasionally wear heels in daylight hours!). I also can't quite get over the fact that when paired with smarter clothes, trainers sometimes look like someone is just wearing comfy shoes on their way to work...

I am having the most demoralising day ever, a combination of unpleasant, tedious phone calls, a family drama, an almost-forgotten meeting (which was actually really good, but trauma of almost forgetting it nearly killed me) and various other bits and bobs. Wish I could do a bit of retail therapy to recover, but not sure what I need the most, and limited budget means I need to be uber-careful.

No, the smartest I'll be going with my NBs is leather skinnies.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 19:49

You've just all reminded me that I used to wear trainers with work clothes on my London commute as I used to walk from Victoria across Westminster bridge. Not a look I think I'll be doing again and as nowadays I rarely venture out of jeans I'll stick to my converse methinks.

hopefully hope you're getting over your shitty day.

shopafrolic · 08/04/2013 20:01

I think NB look great with trousers but with skirts I'm with hopefully - commuterville
I could possibly do this
Or the plum ones here but none of the skirts.
Amber you'll totally carry them off

MarshaBrady · 08/04/2013 20:04

PP looks great there, it's the simplicity - polo neck etc love it.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 20:10

amber will definitely look good in them. She'd look good in anything as she's the right side of 30 Grin!

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2013 21:22

Love this look with leather leggings and trainers.

LeFreakCestChic · 08/04/2013 22:08

Thanks foxy, have ordered it too! Have 7 striped tops but not in that colour way and had my eye on it but too ££ presale.

Any lovely grey sweatshirts around? Ordered a toast one in the preview sale but it is bizarrely and comically HUGE. So disappointed as I thought it would be The One.

shopafrolic · 08/04/2013 22:14

I'm living in this one at the moment LeFreak - it's a different cut and has shorter sleeves but it looks fab layered over a bright vest.
