Drywhite MNV meet at Disney!!!

Actually, we're only in Orlando for 3 days, get there on Saturday night (23rd), and leave on the Tuesday for the Gulf Coast.

I was only going to take one scarf for travelling in...shall I take the MN scarf just in case? Wink

And thank you for all the good wishes, can't wait to get there now!

Foxy, that's a PITA about ebay, hate it when sellers are economical with the truth. At least you're getting a full refund, but it's such an inconvenience.

Thanks for the Atterley Rd heads up (and code). Just availed myself of these. £59 plus free P&P with code!

Thanks so much for code Wine.

I just got cotton t.

And bright sweater. Thought could be good with the navy gryphon. Although sleeves may be a problem.
All for £34 which seemed quite bargainous. I couldn't add it on the other order, but free delivery so that's ok.

Great cords Grumpy.

Long-time lurker de-lurking...

So I am easily led (she types in a cable-sleeved cashmere jumper from the outnet...) and have been trying on lots of premium denim jeans in TK Maxx that I usually ignore because I'd never heard of them before. In your collective opinion are any brands that are generally better/worse for diff body types? I am a size 10-12ish pear. Not sure if I'm trying the wrong sizes or brands or am just too thighful for skinnies these days.

Welcome Maybe the jeans clinic pages on the Dona Ida site have been helpful for some I think.
www.donnaida.com/denim-clinic.html
Don't buy full price from there. If you find a brand you like the look of, try it on and then head back here to ask if anyone has seen it any cheaper. Everyone here is fab at bargain hunting! I think my local designer denim store is getting fed up of me trying but not buying!
The key I think is denim with lots of stretch. My high rise J Brand Sashas are super stretchy and it makes a big difference.
What jeans fit you at the moment?

Jones have 10% off full priced stuff at the moment (summersave10) I used to love their shoes but just looked and there's nothing that floats my boat at the moment. They do have converse though so may help someone.

Oooh thank you Shop, I'll have a look.

Yes, stretch - thinking about it that does make a difference! Currently switching between old Topshop Marthas, Baxters (both 28) and Uniqlo skinny straight (27). None are perfect. I may be hoping for miracles from the premium stuff though...

I wore Hudson bootcuts today, with a sleeveless white tee, grey Whistles leni jacket, sliver studded Sam E ballet pumps and a white & cobalt Gap leopard scarf.
Dh thought I was bonkers going out like that but said I looked really nice.

I got some bargains in the Gap sale, the mesh sleeved sweater in cobalt and red. And a plain slouchy tee in white and fuchsia (not sale but cheap enough anyway)
The mesh sweater is only £15 instore, but £20 ish online.

I think/hope the red sweater will look nice with the mnv peacoat Marsha.
I'll have a try on tomorrow and see.

It's too cold here to wear it yet though.
Think i'll be back in my parka tomorrow

Great sales shopping ladies, very impressed :o

Hope you feel better soon Shop.

Hi myrtle, I will say what I always say when denim is mention - Goldsign high rise Virtual. The best jeans ever (back me up foxy). They work well on hourglass me, so no reason they wouldn't work on a pear.

Catch up.......

carrie Have a lovely time in Florida.

foxy Good news about the refund and I wouldn't let it put you off. Ebay is mostly fine but totally understand how you feel.

Grumpy and Marsha adore your purchases! I had to do a smash and grab as was heading out but wanted to spend the £20 off. And Marsha I agree the Hobbs sweater will go perfectly with the peacoat. Great choice.

Anni Fantastic outfit today. Can picture it so well! Especially if I look in my wardrobe Wink

Drywhite I love that first pin. She looks so very fabulous. Snowing here too though.

myrtle I never find TK Maxx great for jeans unless you know what may have a chance of fitting before you go in. Have taken in arm loads in the past only to end up weeping! Grin Shop and Amber have both given you great advice, as always, though.

amber's right myrtle, the virtual high rise are ah-may-zing. i'm a diff shape to you both and they work on me although are ankle skimmers rather than super long. I have them in dark indigo and grey now, love em. donna ida have some on sale for £132 which is pretty good discount on the £270 FP tag

think I've gone cross-eyed from googling pointed leopard flats. still no joy.

Thanks for jeans recs. It's a bit of a step change to premium isn't it!

I'm glad & Other Stories have come up though, I popped in last week and was pleasantly surprised but it is hit & miss. Came away with this www.stories.com/Ready-to-wear/Dresses/Tank_dress/582938-548880.1 in the printed version which is LOVELY on...also tried on the denim button up skater-ish dress that's disappeared from the website but was really fab quality. Popping in tomorrow so hopefully it'll be back in stock.
