Thanks guys. So definitely a dress?

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 05/04/2013 21:19

It's the leopard print scarf I love btw!

No, not definitely a dress. How about the white blouse, Mary portas jacket and trousers? Trying to decide which trousers!

shopafrolic · 05/04/2013 21:31

I've got some black slim leg Joseph ones.......

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 05/04/2013 21:44

Would that go with the a&w angold shirt, florettes, watch and marry portas jacket?

shopafrolic · 05/04/2013 22:01

Yup. Might be a good call - it's so cold here I don't know that I can face a dress even with opaques!

Drywhiteplease · 06/04/2013 02:59

sleep thanks for maxi skirt tip...will look when home
shop I'm a bleach freak too.....love the smell (saddo)... But watch our clothes!!!
mrsR sugar is he enemy,I lost 18 lb last year by cutting any sugar ( incl fruit...hard) on Dukan.....in US sugar is in everything sad

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2013 08:01

Wow drywhite, don't think many people have actually managed to ditch all sugar. How did you find it and what made you fall off the wagon? Did you feel better after the first week or two? I have thought about it a lot but I think it's probably the hardest (though of course best) thing to do diet wise, sugar is the only real 'bad' food IMO.

shopi love the dress but I would go with whatever is warmest Grin

foxysocks · 06/04/2013 08:56

I don't eat much sugar but I do eat fruit. Sugar is so addictive, I had some choc last Friday and have basically eaten it everyday since, need to break the cycle if I'm going to wear new skirt lol

Amber I LOVE the trainers on your blog, have had them in my asos basket for a week along with these www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2733769

shop I would probs wear a dress as long as you'll be warm enough.

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2013 09:25

Foxy love those and Amber's too. Love the Philo look.

Sleep the Duffy is gorgeous.

Waves to Drywhite. How's the weather?

I noticed that in the US. My friends would eat zero fat icecream but it would be laden with sugar so a bit pointless. I don't eat sugar and do feel better not eating it.

9 degrees and sunny today. Anyone moving from coat to jacket?

I can't wait to take the coat from the hat stand and zip it up in the protector thing!

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2013 09:26

Shop I love both so go with trousers, as warmer.

Annianni · 06/04/2013 10:41

Morning all...

I'm wearing Hudson cropped jeans and a tshirt and I shall be going shed shopping later wearing ballet flats
(also wearing a sodding vest and slouchy cashmere cardi) Hmm

Annianni · 06/04/2013 10:42

Shop I'd wear whatever's the warmest.
Churches are cold places at the best of times imo.

foxysocks · 06/04/2013 10:49

oof trainers gone up a tenner since yesterday! was just about to order, dammit.

it's freezing here marsha, but very sunny. am on my own this morning so staying in with coffee, kindle and laptop. love it.

fat is good. avocados, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, mmmm.

just tried celine with lots of stuff, is going to be brill. could def do with dropping an inch from my waist though, need to kick this easter choc habit into touch. just shows how designer and vintage sizing differs - it's a 38 and i'm comfortably a 38, often a 36 in 'new' clothing. it's tiny!

foxysocks · 06/04/2013 10:51

i still can't even countenance ballerinas, anni, brave lady!

I am wearing straight leg distressed diesels, l/s anthracite top (primark) with sleeveless l'argence marl grey hoody (the outnet). will add either nude ash or navy converse when I go out. this is when I need the star blink trainers in my life! right now, this outfit, today!

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2013 11:20

It's a beautiful sunny day in St Ives...I have packed most of our stuff to leave, applied first layer of fake tan and painted my toenails in preparation for Spain, feel like I cold pop on some shorts and flip flops and hit the beach here, until you open the door and feel the still practically arctic temperature outside!

Am Envy about your skirt foxy. If you ever get tired of it, please let me know (though I would probably have to stop eating for a while to wear it too)!

Anni I am also impressed with you getting your ankles out, I am still deliberating whether its even a good idea to wear them for travelling tomorrow and we are getting a taxi from house to airport Grin.

Help me decide everyone, should I get supergas (I don't currently own any), if so, what colour - can i put them in the wash if white? ...or NB type trainers for this summer? Votes pleaseGrin!

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2013 11:20

Cold...could! Bloody weather, even getting to my brain.

foxysocks · 06/04/2013 11:24

sleep I am having similar dilemma. I like white converse and grey superga, but might get more sporty NB style grey/blue/yellow instead. still deliberating as I wait for the price to come down again! grey superga were £36 on asos yday, £45 today.

foxysocks · 06/04/2013 11:25

oh and if anyone wants slouchy long tees I have this in dark grey from last and it's lovely. am tempted by the white if anyone has a reasonable discount code for Me&Em?

Foxy delete all your cookies on your PC and then go back to look at the trainers again. You may find they've gone back down in price. Quite often they retain your browsing history and charge you more on second visit. This is also true when booking flights and holidays (the way the price appears to have gone up a few days later scares you into thinking I must book now as who knows what price it'll be next week).

For all you stylish working ladies I received a brochure for this new company in my Harpers today:
The Fold
In amongst some odd shaped bits there was some lovely stuff. I particularly liked some of the pieces in their capsule collection

I fell arse over t wearing my Ash Spirals in a department store this morning - twisted knee and smashed my back. Not a good look.

AmberNectarine · 06/04/2013 13:11

I've got Superga and the more sporty style. Obv NB style trendier, but Superga more enduring. Am wearing my Jemima Vines today with super tight indigo Nudie High Kais, grey Helmut tee and neon Gap Parka. Really like this outfit - feels fresh and spring like and it works well with Rocco which is always a bonus!

The IM Beketts arrived and are going straight back. They're ok but I'm looking for more than that for nearly £400. Also, I feel wedgre trainers are a bit ubiquitous now, they don't feel fresh anymore. I'll still wear my Bowies but I don't think it's the time to invest in them. So that's £370 freed up for other things!

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2013 14:18

Whilst contemplating the inness or outness of wedge trainers I have pinned some white ones.

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2013 14:21

Maybe laces are better here.

AmberNectarine · 06/04/2013 14:53

Those are the IM Bobbys/Bettys which I really like. They're a lot more subtle than the Beketts, which were just a bit too shouty for me.

Topazandpearl · 06/04/2013 15:10

That's interesting about cookies, shop. i wonder if it sometimes works in our favour? I recently nearly bought this jumper from Atterley Road. It was reduced from £125 to £75. It got as far as my basket but then I had second thoughts. The next day I got an email from them asking if I had had a problem. The next day, when I decided I wanted it after all, the price was down to £55! (I'm really pleased with it and wearing it as I type, with an old black and white linen skirt, cream silk shirt, skinny black belt, black opaques and ankle boots).

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2013 15:11

Good point, me too.

Am going to brave snakeskin ballet flats and V Bruno tweed. With slate I&I and grey stella and bright hot pink t. Will see how it goes!
