Wish I had somewhere to wear this too. Not really the thing for the school run unfortunately.

carrie74 · 26/02/2013 14:23

Nice dress on Pinterest, shop, looks much nicer than the patterned one. Bad news on fewer natural fibre garments :(

Budget up to £150-£200 probs I'd say.

Queen, it's a lovely colour, your children would feel v special if you turned up in that in the playground Grin.

foxysocks · 26/02/2013 14:26

thanks queencadbury was just googling to see if i could find the code online!

have a breton quandry. I want/need one with long sleeves but don't want navy. i like this in khaki/stone

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2836504

but also spied this today which looks cool

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2670554

and i saw the massimo dutti one with stripes starting half way down in store the other week which is also a contender

any thoughts? I want a good weight, soft cotton with a slouch. to wear with jeans (skinnies now, straight legs rolled up once it warms up).

good shopping on the cashmere front martha! can't wait to hear what it's like in the flesh

all the ZK dislikes are making me need to go and try mine on again. i still have a few weeks to return if i change my mind

foxysocks · 26/02/2013 14:31

also plumo have 50% at least off everything in their end of winter sale. random selection of stuff/sizes but maybe there are some gems for someone

www.plumo.com/categories/Last-in-the-box/

BobbiFleckmann · 26/02/2013 14:52

my Matches order has arrived, and the dresses are all LOVELY - the emerald green / black one has a chain detail around the sleeves which I didn't notice, and the black silk one has some metal detailling which looked like white stitching on the picture so bonus there too. Got to wait until tonight to try them though...

MrsRadicchio · 26/02/2013 15:08

Wow, this thread moves quickly!

Enjoyed your reporting from the Whistles frontline shop. Lovely dress. I also love that lace one but agree hard to wear.

this would be my fantasy purchase. Along with these!!. I love dungarees for some reason Blush

Foxy I like the whistles breton.

I received the wrap catalogue today. Can't remember who was looking for similar but stars jumper, like C&P? and animal print jumper, though not sure about the shoulder detail.

Succumbed to a few bits from the cocosa sale:

skirt

dress - loved the colours.

Pondering this:

trousers. Like the shape, but would they work in winter?

Another view where they don't look so good. Yoox don't really make the most of the item, do they?

Would appreciate views on whether or not to buy.

Liberty I like the many bangles look, though am not minimalist at all by nature.

MrsRadicchio · 26/02/2013 15:37

boots for carrie?

QueenCadbury · 26/02/2013 15:42

mrsR they look like they need buying and trying on to be sure. Not sure about whether would work for winter though. What would you wear on your feet?

I've just started a thread about nude pop sox and cropped trousers. It was kind of meant to be ironic as I know they are a fashion sin but still considering wearing them. I'm just sooo bored of winter clothes.

Sleepwhenidie · 26/02/2013 16:33

Hi all , purchased for the bargainous price of £237 as Anna has an extra 10% off sale prices this week, so a huge reduction from original price. They feel beautiful on, am very Grin. Now to ensure I return all the small bits that I've been buying over the last couple of weeks (Zara trousers, ZK tee, TKMaxx skirt etc) that I don't love - they add up to about £160 which makes the J Brands almost free, no Wink?

Am also feeling hopeful about a dinner I have to go to with DH in a couple of weeks, smart corporate do (but not black tie) and I just don't do corporate any more...really don't want to have to buy a dress that will just sit in my wardrobe forever after. But a new mum friend who would fit in very well here, asked me to come over to try on some of her dresses...says she has a lovely Marni that may fit the bill - fingers crossed Grin.

carrie74 · 26/02/2013 16:37

Thanks MrsR, I really like the look of them, and they have my size. Worried about description of distressed finish and whether that would be suitable for work. It's also so hard getting the balance between smart, not Mumsy, and I really struggle with some black leather just not looking "right".

Have also been pondering on a (small) heeled loafer. I used to have fabulous stacked heel Red or Dead burgundy loafers which were tremaze. In 1994 [weep].

MrsR, sequin dress fabulous darling. Not sure on the blue trousers. Pleating would worry me, but looks like quite a good fit on model, so may be fine. Needs trying on I think.

carrie74 · 26/02/2013 16:40

Oh sleep [contented sigh]. Beauts.

Sleepwhenidie · 26/02/2013 16:43

ps - MrsR I like those blue trousers.

jenny99 · 26/02/2013 18:08

Just popping in quickly.....busy busy day and no time to read or look at your links but will do later...

Wanted to tell you all (sorry if someone has already said this further up I haven't read up yet)....some gorgeous DVF bags on cocosa. I think I need the Elaine carryall.

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2013 20:09

Sleep good call on the CM skirt. And those J Brand suede skinnies are absolutely gorgeous. What a great buy. Really love them.

Carrie like the tantrum Grin. I don't do nails but I am contemplating white stilettos, so if I can do that, you can do nails.

Shop lovely Whistles stuff.

QueenC that Whistles dress is lovely.

Foxy I actually really like both.

Bobbi Matches sounds great.

MrsR really like the animal print and the leather dungarees! Not sure on blue Theory trousers, only because of pics. But then Cocosa and Yoox don't take great pics.

Off-white MiH are here. They look like such a nice colour, really vanilla. Although they are very pristine, will they stay like that very long. Will try them on tomorrow morning, too tired!

Sleepwhenidie · 26/02/2013 20:37

If any of you fancy a pair of the J Brands, Anna still has a few, you could call and ask, I think 28, 29, perhaps more....

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2013 20:49

Thanks Sleep they are gorgeous but am abstaining, well at least til v neck arrives!

shopafrolic · 26/02/2013 20:53

Sleep they are amazingly beautiful
MrsR not so keen on the trousers, sorry. Too much detail for me at the front I think.
Carrie I have these in another leather and they are so comfy. Hudsons

Well done Sleep those trousers are beautiful.

I like both stripe tops Foxy

Loving all the links everyone.

I'll give those tee's a try, thanks Shop

I've just had an hour in the Trafford Centre all on my own, which was bliss. I saw some lovely things in Selfridges.

Zara was full of tat. There were a few things i'd seen online that looked quite nice, but very cheap fabrics imo in real life.
I'll order some more linen t's when I've returned everything this week.

Gap was boring too. I tried a sweater that I've already got in grey, in cobalt, navy and off white. But they didn't seem as nice in the other colours, they felt and looked cheap.

I did pick up a basic slouchy navy sweater from the sale rail. I'll link tomorrow (still don't know how to link on the nexus)

And I stamped my feet and had a minor sulk in Selfridges when I realised that the juice bar has gone, to make way for bastard easter eggs.
I really wanted a mango juice

Annianni · 26/02/2013 21:21

Love the animal sweater MrsR, what's the quality like from there?

I agree with the terrible Yoox photography, I'm due some jeans tomorrow that look horrendous on the model, but they looked nice in the other colours so I thought I'd give them a try.

shopafrolic · 26/02/2013 21:33

Foxy the results of my breton hunt are on my SS Pin board. The Massimo is fab but 3/4 sleeves. The Ralph Lauren is amazing. Or there's this

QueenBOObread · 26/02/2013 21:48

Moving quickly tonight! Wow to the trousers Sleep, I bet you look amazing in them.

So the Boden sweater arrived which I'm not in love with. It's just a bit ... Meh. Not much of a "cut" to it so I'm thinking of sizing down. With the waffle knot I think it needs not to be bulky. Tracey WornOut has blogged about it today here. She likes here but is so tiny that a bit of a bulky cut probably isn't an issue.

Or ... I could just get this: hello, ACNE, my old friend.

I have the cable version in acid yellow and worn it to death. Is it too much to get a second colour (and crucially a different knit)?

Annianni · 26/02/2013 21:48

Shop, what's the sizing like with your Massimo breton?
There's a few tee's I like the look of from there.

Annianni · 26/02/2013 21:51

Do it QueenB you know you want to... :o

BrandyAlexander · 26/02/2013 21:57

Hello! Just popping in from a break from meetings! The thread has moved quickl since yesterday Shock. No shopping from me yet but I may go and say hello to my friends j crew and banana republic tomorrow :)
