Sophie Hulme cobalt, it's gorgeous.

Well done on gigis Anni!

QueenBOObread · 24/02/2013 08:46

Sophie Hulme by a mile Amber.

But then I'm biased as I have a (smaller) SH bag which I completely love. Very basic inside, mind.

foxysocks · 24/02/2013 08:58

i prefer the cobalt amber - gorgeous.

also amber if you have a mo - I noticed on a bag thread you mentioned some leather protect/care products for bags, I googled them but could only find US sites with astronomical postage... where do you buy them from? thanks!

I LOVE those blue gigis, if I knew my exact size i wold be tempted. wonder if i can find them somewhere to try on

sweater itch fantasy shopping has pulled up this which is cute, and if was navy might have ordered to try but am avoiding black

www.asos.com/Only/Only-Stars-Sweat-Top/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2852501&WT.ac=rec_viewed

what's karrsen sweater sizing like, mcnally?

AmberNectarine · 24/02/2013 09:11

Yes, I love the Hulme. Only thing that worries me is the suede lining (I have form for spilling things in my bags, Rocco already bearing the scars of LM tinted moisturiser! It also looks very soft, and I am not very gentle with my bags, but the colour is so gorgeous...

foxy I use this stuff on my bags.

Anni I'm an 8 in Gigis and a small UK size 6, sometimes a 5.5.

Annianni · 24/02/2013 09:50

Thanks Amber, i've ordered an 8.5 so they should be fine.

My feet have gone up 1/2 a size with each pregnancy. No more babies for me, I can't afford the shoe bill afterwards!

Love that top Foxy.

McNally · 24/02/2013 09:58

Impressive restraint coraltoes! A Bottega is an amazing anniversary gift. Did you request it or was it a surprise? If so, well done your DH. Actually, either way, well done your DH!

Marsha, thank you. I'm now following you and QueenCadbury, thanks too. For maximum confusion I am Peony Blossom on Pin.

That Sophie Hulme bag is lovely Amber. Great colour. I love the understated hardware and then a dinosaur key ring! I remain a big fan of the Balenciaga though.

I'm a 12 and got a medium Zoe Karssen foxysocks. I like that Only Stars sweater. Shame it isn't in navy for you. I too should probably wear less black (I fear my Mum may have been right all along) but I love it and am always drawn to it. It appeals to my classic tastes. Feeling lately (probably because I'm not at work at the moment) like I need to add a bit more variety and colour to my wardrobe as my classics are feeling a bit dull at the moment.

Drywhiteplease · 24/02/2013 10:12

amber love the bag ........but.........don't you think you should buy a bench instead?

AmberNectarine · 24/02/2013 10:15

Well, drywhite, I actually have a bench, and a whole herd of Oxfam goats, so please can I buy the bag? Or must I stay away from the luxury goods market until world poverty is eradicated?

Mrsap · 24/02/2013 10:27

Bottega! Fab DH.

Amber u could save a donkey sanctuary or something Wink but personally I think the blue over the silver. Just looks so much lovelier.

QueenCadbury · 24/02/2013 10:41

amber love the silver but love the blue more.

BrandyAlexander · 24/02/2013 11:02

Morning all, family day out today. On way to the theatre. coraltoes will link a few later but here is a startyellow balenciaga Grin. Amber I would mix the two and get the cobalt blue balenciaga! McNally, my pin interest board is on that link so feel free to have a look :)

BrandyAlexander · 24/02/2013 11:09

I meant to say am wearing the third of my new desigual tops with my Gap skinnies, black coat and Merrells Natalya boots. The boots don't go but its cold! Jewellery is diamond pendant, raindance ring, tiffanys charm bracelet and dh's recent gift to me...a Hermes diamond encrusted watch, my big present last weekend. Grin

AmberNectarine · 24/02/2013 11:21

Hmmm, it's a lovely bag, but I'm looking for something small-mid sized for non-Rocco days.

I actually make a monthly donation to these people so my conscience is clear on the donkey front too...

carrie74 · 24/02/2013 12:34

Hello, have survived a visit from PIL, and am struggling through the hangover from hell after an impromptu pub visit lat night (Le sob).

Love the cobalt Amber, it's gorgeous.

Foxy, cute jumper, but am the same with black. It's sometimes quite hard to find things that aren't black, isn't it (hard stare at Zara)?

I need some Gigis for summer, having worn pretendy ones all last summer. Hoping to pick some up in the States over Easter...

Drywhiteplease · 24/02/2013 12:34

amber get the blue bag.....love it .....currently wearing sweaty Sweaty Betty stuff, will make more of an effort now.................
novice the watch sounds fantastic!

libertychick · 24/02/2013 14:36

I am with Novice on the bag debate - a cobalt messenger would be perfect. The inside would put me off the SH - I like a nicely lined bag.

Marsha thanks for the hair sympathy! It was Rush so my own bloody fault. I hadn't gone in years after previous poor experience but ended up there in desperation in November and loved the guy who did my hair then so booked back in and just asked for the Artistic Director as I couldn't remember his name but it wasn't him - he had left. Anyway, the cut is ok I think, the front layers on the right are kicking out in a weird way but I'll get the Babyliss Big Hair onto it tomorrow morning and all should be ok. I have googled Aveda salons and there is one not too far from me so will try that next time.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2013 15:53

Hi everyone, I am back from skiing and have just finished catching up with the thread, blimey you lot can chat..and shop - I was tempted to tot up the combined spend of MNVogue in a week but didn't want to horrify the Benchers Wink

Welcome Coraltoes, Theweek, Bobbi and McNally - sorry if I've missed any other recent delurkers!

So just since coming back I have ordered the ZK Rock & Roll T Blush. Was going to get the Paris one but XS sound like a size 6 which is a step too small for me Sad - anyone know how sizing comes up? Also I have fallen in love with a Smythson bag which I won't end up getting, too expensive for me, somehow can't get my head around paying more than £1k for a handbag (though I have no problem at all with those who do Grin). I am just enjoying looking at it. This sweater is also calling me but my conscience says enough grey cashmere already! I need to step away from my comfort zone...maybe a bright shirt or something, at least something more S/S like.

Amber I think the blue bag, it is your colour after all and you were wondering about getting bored with the silver...

The week - the lace DVF gets my vote too, lovely.

On the subject of bags, I saw some Furla ones at the airport in Italy on the way home. I had sort of forgotten about the brand but there were some lovely ones at pretty reasonable prices, around £200-£300 mark.

Marsha am about to PM!

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2013 15:56

oh - whoever wanted to follow on pin - the sweater and bag I linked take you to my boards, feel free. Smile

foxysocks · 24/02/2013 16:55

I think a ZK tshirt XS is an 8 rather than a 6, sleep. i'm an 8 and the XS in this tee is perfectly slouchy on me

foxysocks · 24/02/2013 16:58

swoons at the cobalt balanciaga

right, I am all eyes on the prize mentality now. no more cheapy fixes. i absolutely LOVE this

www.chintiandparker.com/product/CP207GM/Star+Sweater

is C&P quality good? do they have good sales?! I don't have £350, weep weep sob

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2013 17:53

Thanks for the tip re ZK foxy, will see how the S rock n roll comes up when it arrives and may still get the Paris one, I need some long sleeved T's. Love the colour of yours btw.

C&P is lovely - similar and just slightly more affordable is this Anna one which I have linked to before in relation to C&P. The C&P stuff does get reduced but as far as I know, not hugely.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2013 17:57

Hey foxy - have just seen the pink/grey Iris & Ink sweater on your pin...similar to the Vince one I like, but crucially, a bright colour and half the price Grin. I may just be able to justify that, thanks!

Mrsap · 24/02/2013 18:55

Love that chinti and Parker top. ESP in the blue.

Finally got round to pinning stuff on Pinterest....wow, how addictive is that!?

MarshaBrady · 24/02/2013 19:03

Hi Sleep welcome back! Hope skiing was good. If you get the Iris & Ink let me know what you think as have my eye on one. Wish I knew what I was saving rather than listed as outnet price .

Mrsap have followed!

Foxy I haven't tried Chinti & Parker, but it would have to be very nice considering the £.

Oh and couldn't find the leopard flats, just took me to a random design blog without any info, but will see what I can find out there.

shopafrolic · 24/02/2013 19:21

Hi all, I've been busy researching for a UK holiday so no style news. We're hoping to go away with a fab company called Baby Friendly Boltholes who I can thoroughly recommend for those of you with toddlers. I don't work for them.
My niece looked more stylish than me today wearing grey leggings, hi top trainers, denim shorts, a dark grey slouchy tee and a trilby hat! She's 11!
