Almost over :o
stupid phone!

foxysocks · 22/02/2013 09:25

glad you had fun QueenC. where did you go?

anni i got these www.shopbop.com/virtual-slim-leg-jeans-goldsign/vp/v=1/845524441943561.htm?folderID=2534374302166571&fm=hearts-shopbysize-viewall&navFolderId=2534374302166539

(and these too www.shopbop.com/811-skinny-jeans-j-brand/vp/v=1/845524441955524.htm?folderID=2534374302166571&fm=hearts-shopbysize-viewall&navFolderId=2534374302166539)

in my defence the ONLY blue skinnies i have are really pale blue. i tried them both on in donna ida the other week but had a heart attack at the combined price. it was almost 2 for 1 from shopbop. positively FRUGAL.

QueenBOObread · 22/02/2013 10:11

Good taste, Foxy, those are both classics. It's only a matter of time before I buy myself a pair of Virtuals, I think. High rise, cropped therefore the perfect length on short-arsed me - what's not to like?! Just recovering from my Jimmy Jimmy spend though.

Anni I wear my Karssen inside with a heavy dose of irony - it's says "I'm so rock and roll right now" and makes me laugh when I'm changing nappies/doing night feeds/[insert glamorous job of choice]. I'm just not cool enough to carry it off outside - and I think that's the test rather than age!

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 10:39

Love those Foxy

Do these off white MiH look too see-through?

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 10:57

Ok have ordered, will report back on whether they are see-through!

Got them from Style-Passport, £30 off.

AmberNectarine · 22/02/2013 11:12

I've got that ZK, Queen. Feeling quite rock and roll today with a heinous hangover. Bleurgh.

I have those JV slippers on my list. Need to decide between those, Charles Philip Shanghais or Choos.

foxysocks · 22/02/2013 11:26

oh I like the look of those marsha. i've never worn white jeans but am tempted once it warms up, despite promising DH that the shopbop order meant I was completely utterly sorted for jeans now.

the goat update is not good. firstly DH HATES it. he says it looks cheap and is unflattering! now of course i would happily ignore his opinion for something i adore, but I am wavering on this one anyway. the colour is more dull than on the website photo, i'm really not sure i can pull it off.

also - and perhaps more pertinently - the buttons haven't been stitched on very well and look like they will all need re-sewing quite soon. there's also a small black mark on the front of it. both of these are very annoying, had I paid FP i would be raging as it's not free returns. if an item is deemed to be faulty do they HAVE to offer free returns under distance selling? do you think a mark on the material and/or poorly sewn buttons classifies as faulty?

i'm tempted to try this instead but i'd need a hefty discount code to make it workable this month

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 11:31

Foxy I am the same, I trundle along buying what I like, but if I am wavering on something and dh hates it then I do think hmm even more. He usually likes things so I know it's bad if he doesn't. I had some clangers and looking back I'm glad I sent them all back.

It's a bit early for the white but those sizes were selling out pretty quickly, and really wanted to get that slight reduction.

shopafrolic · 22/02/2013 12:23

Marsha love those - let us know re: see through or not as I'm definitely still considering......
My Dutch family have arrived and my niece has taken up dressmaking. At the age of 11 she has made herself a very cool white sweatshirt with a black moustache design on the front. [[http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/221116227507?var=lv

Arghh keep losing posts.
Foxysocks, totally agree re: buttons. They look cheap and cheaply sewn on in my opinion. Have just taken delivery of a rather lovely Matthew Williamson blanket coat in lovely shades of blues...it has the same press studs.... Argh.
I just didn't feel the shape flattered me, it felt frumpy. I love the yellow colour but it wouldn't suit my colouring.
I didn't love it so have posted back this morning. Am used to free returns but I understand my fault not theirs.
Also ordered the pink Birger scarf but just too acidic when arrived and a dreadful blue top which was actually polyester of the worst slinkiness when it arrived. All gone back.
However I look upon it as 'making' money so am browsing Outnet.

Love this thread ladies, I read regularly and steal ideas but lurk!
Hope I haven't upset you Foxysocks!

Decameron · 22/02/2013 13:27

Theweek, I took my new Goat cardigan out of the package yesterday and a button fell off. However I love the colour and shape so just going to sew it back on. I would not have been happy if I'd paid full price.

Great jeans, Marsha.

Hope the hangover lifts soon, Amber.

Lovely bags, QueenCadbury, especially like the cobalt.

Also got this which is gorgeous and a Zoe Karssen top. No more shopping for a while now.

Theweek · 22/02/2013 13:46

Decameron. I prefer the shape of yours. I have last years Spring version, it is a lot narrower than the red one from SP and so more flattering on me, the SP one flares out and stops at unflattering place, am only 5"6 on a v good day!
If I loved the SP one, I too would have re-sewn those damn press studs.

At last....have procured a pair of chestnut Pistols from MW,just in. Have been obsessing over that colour for weeks only to find everywhere had sold out..

Can barely breathe.... Need to get a grip....
My reward for rotavirus x v2 children, little sleep and husband on stag do.
(Very shallow)

Decameron · 22/02/2013 14:19

Pistols are great boots, good buy. Hope your children are better now.

Theweek · 22/02/2013 14:32

Decameron, Thank you. Am a sane and sensible lady in daily life but become an over-anxious wreck when they are poorly.
Yes, eagerly awaiting Pistols!

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 14:49

Theweek love the colour of the chestnut pistols, great buy. Can you link to Malene Birger scarf? sounds interesting. Oh and do stay on here, more the merrier, you may as well now you're linking Smile.

Decam lovely stuff, the Goat cardigan is gorgeous.

Shop very cute!

Annianni · 22/02/2013 15:00

Thanks Queenboo, I like that one. I've ordered this love cross one, too much love and the devil made me.

Also got some navy Superga coming. Lots of deliveries due next week.

That red Goat cardigan is lovely Decameron
And those white Mih look nice Marsha

Well done on the pistols Theweek Envy

And I hope your hangover's gone Amber.

QueenBOObread · 22/02/2013 16:20

Marsha I'd be interested to hear back about the Paris - that cream is such a good colour but I'd be worried about their see-through-ness. On the model's bottom shot I can just about make out the shadow of a thong I think!

Theweek I have a pair of coffee-coloured pistols which I love - I can't put my finger on what is so special about them but the shape is just so elegant. That chestnut colour is gorgeous too. If I saw the Star boot in the chestnut I think I might have to add them to my List.

I had a look in Malene Birger the other day and saw the orange dress which Hopefully linked to on her blog. On the right person it will be absolutely stunning but I think they'd need to be tall (it was pretty much the same height as me!), flat-of-tum and it's also a completely neon orange so won't be for everyone's skin tones.

Speaking of neon I'm wearing this Essie nail varnish today. It's completely neon, not just the hot pink given in the description. A cheerful distraction from potty-training blues in this neck of the woods

QueenBOObread · 22/02/2013 16:22

That may be the first link to Ocado on this thread

Have you seen the bashing that's going on on the £800 bag thread. Increasingly I just want to stay on this thread. Can't get over how rude people think it is acceptable to be if you're fortunate enough to have a bit of money to spend.

Theweek · 22/02/2013 16:37

www.style-passport.com/shop/by-malene-birger-kampiz-animal-print-scarf-bright_pink-1929-1-13

This is the Birger scarf.
I usually adore/wear 'shocking pink' (as my mother would say) but this was a little too ?neon for blonde-haired, blue-eyed me; a bit draining.
Love the style though as very stiff and oversized and tied well!

Annianni · 22/02/2013 17:41

I posted on that bag thread at the same time as you Queenboo, has the op come back on since they started having a go?

That scarf's lovely Theweek, have you found anything nice on the outnet instead?

Decameron · 22/02/2013 17:46

The comments are so predictable.

I love having parcels on the way, Anni!

Annianni · 22/02/2013 17:49

I've got 5 on the way
:o

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 17:53

I think it would be too much for me too Theweek. Although it is nice and so many tying suggestions.

I did think that about that white MiH pic too QueenBoo, but I know they will bug me if I don't see for sure.

Looked at bag one. It is nice to have this lovely thread, I agree.

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2013 17:54

High fives Anni Grin.
