New thread for a new month! Everyone is doing so well, we are forming some great habits and, hopefully, feeling better for it.

some good links:

How To Be Groomed thread

Discount Make-up and Toiletries
Cheap Smells
Fragrance Direct
Xtras Online
Look Fantastic

Its also worth joining groups like wowcher and Groupon for discount manicures etc.

Baby steps are the way forward, and if you fall off the wagon and have a pj day (or week) its ok, just jump back on. We want to take more pride in our appearance, make an effort. As one poster said, "we think there's no point making an effort if we are just at home with our DP's and DC's, but they are the most important people in our lives - why not act like it?" I certainly feel better, my self-esteem is higher and I have more confidence.

All welcome.

Happy Fabulizing Dahhlinks

The description of the hair sounds nice, Trampy!

I bought a small bottle of Percy and Reeds wavy hair texture spray, to give volume at the roots - hair now has loads of volume, I was swooshing it in the stale air on the Tube, although the spray smells like gin Grin

I have booked myself in for a facial on Monday to help my dehydrated skin following my night shifts.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/02/2013 18:55

Dress One Trampy = it's lovely and looks fantastic on you. The Dotty p's one looks rather summery and the black one a bit 'Christmas Party' whilst dress one looks (warning - wank-speak alert) more trans-seasonal. :)

JemimaMuddledUp · 08/02/2013 19:47

Muddling Walking is fab exercise, isn't it? Although I do other stuff like running and swimming I don't do it every day, the one thing that I do do every day is walk to work and back which is around 3 miles.

Trampy I've been having a good read of your blog and am picking up ideas. I've started looking a lot at style blogs recently (and pinning stuff I like to my Pinterest boards) to try to find "my" style. Another blog that I love is School Gate Style

Turnip enjoy your facial! I had a lovely Decleor Aromatherapy facial and full body massage as a Christmas present, it was bliss. I might drop hints that I'd like another one for my birthday next month Grin

Am currently trying to work out whether it will be too cold tomorrow to wear my cable knit poncho rather than a coat.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 08/02/2013 22:03

OK this is going to show me up as a bit of a fashion daftie! I've just looked at eBay and I had no idea you could get so much clothing on there. I've seen loads of things I'd like to buy (next week when I get paid) and it's all new.
Why did no-one ever tell me!

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 07:44

I find shopping for clothes on ebay really confusing Always, probably because I'm never quite sure what I'm looking for and so need to browse rather than search. I have no problem buying things like fabric and knitting wool because I know exactly what I want. I should probably sit down and look at clothes properly on there.

Looked out of the window and decided that the no coat option was a non starter as it is chucking it down with rain. So today's outfit (for DS1's football match which I'm hoping will be cancelled due to the rain, DS2's end of term peformance at drama club and then a gallery talk in the museum) is straight leg jeans, black scoop neck top, elephant print scarf, black wool coat and flat black knee high boots.

10k done on the stationary bike, plus dumbells. Mainly so that I can eat Chinese food tonight in front of the rugby Grin

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 09/02/2013 08:24

I think that's what always put me off Jemima. I think I expected some sort of online jumble sale and I couldn't understand how anyone ever found anything.
But it's actually really easy. You choose if you want tops, for example. Then it gives you loads of different types to choose from. Then you can choose your size and also if you want it to be new. You can also choose the colour if you're looking for something specific. That really narrows it down and saves trawling through unsuitable stuff.
I realise that everyone else probably already knows this and I'm very late to the party!

TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 08:24

turnip, oooh, a facial sounds fab! and loving the sound of that spray, not so much the smell Wink

Remus, thank you. dress one is kicking arse! and I do love it. I feel very sexy in it.

jemima, there are some great blogs out there. Im addicted to susie soso. sounds like you'll be very busy again,. but outfit sounds lovely! and I am in awe of your dedication and ability to exercise. we are having a curry takeaway tonight, I cant wait!!

Always, there are some bargains on there amongst the shite. Ive got some great stuff across the years, inc a monsoon tunic for 99p and LOADS of shoes etc. my 60's mini-skirt was an ebay find for 99p. I search my size, click womens clothing, ending soonest and get bargains that way.

today ds has a party, I am meeting MIL in town for a coffee this morning, so jeans, stripey top and teal blazer, I think. or plain cream top and my burgundy blazer... not quite decided. OR my leopard print shirt.... anyway, wearing my new boots which are awesome. I did my eyebrows last night and have a really good cleansing routine going now. giving my nails a break, they are in flitters so I shall be hunting for some strengthener.

Happy fabulizing, my gorgeouses!

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 08:26

Have decided to change shoes from flat knee high boots to heeled shoe boots. I want to be tall today Grin

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 08:30

Trampy I use this nail strengthener from Avon. My nails are awful but this really seems to work.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 09/02/2013 08:33

Thanks Trampy I would never have found those boots if you hadn't linked to them. You should be on comission as you've converted me!
I've got a personal training session at the gym this morning so I'll just be wearing gym gear to start with - topped off with a very unattractive bright red face!
Then home for a shower and a really good face cleanse. Not sure what I'm going to wear today but it will definitely involve my new boots!

TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 13:31

Ooh, thank you jemima. I'm wearing heels today, really unusual for me.

Always, they're ace, aren't they? I love that style of boot. Enjoy your training, I'm impressed with all the exercisers.

Settled on skinny dark jeans, floral chiffon blouse with pussy cat bow and my wedge ankle boots. On bus home now so will put on jumper. Got a new moisturiser from the craft market, avacado. Feels lovely, and a top from (of all places) qvc outlet. I'm shocked.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 09/02/2013 13:36

Recovered from the gym and dressed now. Wearing dark slim fit jeans, black longline vest and a stone coloured over-sized jumper with an animal print heart on the front. Just going food shopping so have added my new boots, a leopard print scarf and my cream quilted jacket.
Also weekend make-up of BB cream, mascara, benetint and the pink vaseline.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/02/2013 16:04

Afternoon all!

Just been for a walk and for lunch in a French cafe, so v low key here:
black skinnies
grey cable knit legwarmers worn slouchy and low
black boots which are a cross between biker and Chelsea
long green top layered under long black top
huge snakeprint scarf
parka with the hood up to avoid having to carry a brolly!

GuyMartinsSideburns · 09/02/2013 16:28

Ive off round a new friends later, wondering what to wear! I got some tweed type shorts today so was thinking maybe those, black tights and biker boots, vest top and sweatshirt over the top. We shall see Confused

You can tell Im usually in pj's by 6pm cant you Grin

TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 16:53

Guy, that sounds perfect! I love tweed shorts, we are going to my sisters next weekend, I might wear mine then... have a lovely time!

Always and Remus, those outfits sound fab! I genuinely cant believe how well everyones doing! I am so proud

I'm in my cords and sloppy jumper now, because its so cold. It feel like the temp has dropped within an hour. most bizarre.

in town, I got a face mask and I still have my hot oil, so tonight I will have a pamper session. face mask, hot oil, soak, scrub and shave. I've got the hang of waving my hair now, as long as I dont fiddle with the underneath. AND... I managed to walk in heels without falling over. thats progress Grin

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 17:04

I may have accidentally popped into Monsoon this afternoon. I may have taken half the sale rail (well they did have an extra 20% off sale prices this weekend) into the changing rooms. I may have come out with this rather lovely dress in a SIZE 12!!!!! It is entirely possible that I also bought these strappy gold sandals to go with it. Total cost was £33.33 including 5p for the carrier bag Grin, full price they would have been £149. I just need an excuse to wear them now!

I also popped into Boots and got a nude lip liner and a putty coloured nail varnish on the No7 buy one get one half price offer.

TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 17:11

oooh, the links dont work!! and result Grin

OP posts:
JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 17:26

TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 17:41

OP posts:
TrampyPants · 09/02/2013 17:43

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 18:25

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/02/2013 18:26

Lovely jacket BTW. What will you wear it with?
