New thread for a new month! Everyone is doing so well, we are forming some great habits and, hopefully, feeling better for it.

some good links:

How To Be Groomed thread

Discount Make-up and Toiletries
Cheap Smells
Fragrance Direct
Xtras Online
Look Fantastic

Its also worth joining groups like wowcher and Groupon for discount manicures etc.

Baby steps are the way forward, and if you fall off the wagon and have a pj day (or week) its ok, just jump back on. We want to take more pride in our appearance, make an effort. As one poster said, "we think there's no point making an effort if we are just at home with our DP's and DC's, but they are the most important people in our lives - why not act like it?" I certainly feel better, my self-esteem is higher and I have more confidence.

All welcome.

Happy Fabulizing Dahhlinks

I have just ordered this dress/tunic to wear with leggings. I used to have a similar one from Boden before I lost weight that I wore to death and I miss it Sad I have never ordered online from H&M before and I have heard a lot of bad reviews about their online customer service, so I am crossing my fingers that it gets here OK. It was very cheap though with the discount codes I found.

I also like this cardigan in New Look, but I might leave that until Saturday as I know they have it in the store in town and I can try it on first.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 07/02/2013 16:12

Love the tunic and cardigan jemima may have to add them to my list!

Trampy so far I have lost 1st 2lbs and have 2 stone to lose still this is my year to be thinner and gorgeous and organised!!

JemimaMuddledUp · 07/02/2013 18:16

Well done on the weight loss muddling Is there any special method that you have been using?

I am now trying to buy a couple of things on La Redoute using that £20 code that someone shared on S&B, but I can't get it to go through at the moment Sad

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 07/02/2013 18:53

Jemima I've ordered online from H&M a few times and have never had any problems. They're not the fastest for delivery but stuff usually arrives within 4-5 days. Love that dress too - hopefully they'll still have it when I get paid at the end of next week.

JemimaMuddledUp · 07/02/2013 19:18

Thanks Always that is good to know. I don't mind slow delivery as long as it gets here eventually!

I gave up with the La Redoute £20 off code - I think it was a glitch that they have now fixed. But I found a 50% off plus free red handbag code (2250) and ordered this cardi as I thought it would be handy instead of a coat as we go into spring. I have no idea what the free handbag will look like, but if it is vile it can always go to the charity shop and they'll make something from it! One of my colleagues had a lovely handbag from there as a free gift last year, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

ElectricMonk · 07/02/2013 20:16

Gosh, you lot put me to shame! So far, I've managed to look fine on the days when I have to go out (i.e. make-up on, skinny jeans, polished Doc Martens, and a not-too-crap top) and I've managed to be a bit kinder to my skin now that I've got past a very stressful point in my work, but I still feel very "meh" about myself.

I had a moan about it to DH this evening, which culminated in and it has been decided that a posh frock and a night out is in order :D.

I have also decided that for the coming week I shall wear a skirt/dress at least every other day, and I'm going to start using vitamin c serum on my face again in an attempt to restore my poor, mistreated skin to its former health...

JemimaMuddledUp · 08/02/2013 08:01

Posh frock and a night out sounds like a lovely idea Electric, I think we could all do with one of them!

Good luck with the skirt wearing. I tend to live in trousers, mainly because they are practical for work. I could do with wearing a skirt or a dress more often.

Today's outfit: grey oversized roll neck jumper, black leggings, black flat knee high boots. With a black wool coat over the top for DS1's hockey match after school.

I need to make an appointment to have my Shellac removed next week as my nails have grown and the gap at the bottom is getting bigger and bigger. I'm really impressed with them though as they haven't chipped at all. Hopefully my nails won't be in too bad a condition when it comes off, although I am going to leave it a few weeks before having it done again.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 08/02/2013 09:52

just been doing slimming world to lose the weight, but have also been walking 4 miles about 3 times a week plus just started to use my old slendertone which i dug out of the back of the wardrobe. no idea if the slendertone will work but every little helps!

nails are now painted with mua in lilac, clothes today are black skinny jeans, grey mesh jumper with white vest top under it will either put my biker boots on or some heeled shoe boots.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 08/02/2013 10:19

Morning! Id been edgy for past few days with something on my mind and so not really 'feeling it' however I went to the docs today and am no longer worried so am much happier!

Im wearing grey skinny jeans, purple long sleeved top, my grey and black stripey dress Blush in my defence you can only see the bottom half of the sleeves as Im wearing a black funnel neck (I think!) jumper over the top, with mid length mucho baggy sleeves. Prob sounds odd but it looks nice!

Ruining the overall feel with purple boots and a cream pashmina as a scarf but what the hell. Hair tied up, side fringe, makeup on. Took my nail varnish off last night so just have a clear coat on them. Small silver earrings.

Have a great friday people!

What do those slendertones feel like? Ive often seen them and thought 'hmmm'......

TrampyPants · 08/02/2013 10:37

Jemima, I love that tunic. H&M have always been pretty good for me. That cardi's nice too. La Redoute are brilliant. and todays outfit sounds lovely. Im too scared to try shallac. my nails are in pieces today.

Muddling, thats brilliant! well done!

Electric, you are doing great, we all have different goals, etc. A night out sounds ace though, dh and I are going out for valentines and I am so excited about it.

Guy, are you ok? what did the doctor say? and that outfit sounds awesome!!!

Was horrible feeling so worried, I kept looking at the children and thinking the worst Sad Hope you have a lovely valentines night out Wink Let us know what youre going to wear wont you Grin

Im another that loves leopard print, tomorrow Im considering wearing my boyfriend jeans with turn-ups and my leopard print kg shoeboots. Dont know what on the top though Grin

Jemima - I almost bought that same tunic! Im waiting on an hm delivery myself (from past experience theyre not the quickest) - a grey sweatshirt they had on offer for 4quid, and a pair of tweedy looking shorts. Ive also ordered a pair of black shorts but theyre out of stock for a while.

Tonight Im going to have some wine and paint my fingernails. Orange? Or is that too much?

TrampyPants · 08/02/2013 12:47

I reckon dress number one, its fab. I love the way it accentuates your figure and I think the length is perfect. Looks really lovely on you Smile

Liking your blog so far, Im gonna go get stuck in now Grin

TrampyPants · 08/02/2013 13:40

aw Blush thank you. Ive been trying so hard lately. I really was the scruffiest person in the world a few months ago. and thank you, Im leaning toward dress one too. the second doesnt look as good on camera, which doesnt bode well, tbh. dress three I wore at halloween to be a vampire, I love it but its v OTT. and dress four is really lovely, but not ooomphy enough, iykwim?

and thank you again.

OP posts:
TrampyPants · 08/02/2013 13:44

nearly forgot, I have waved my hair today. not properly, but I just took sections on top and ran the styler through so the top has a wave, while the rest is just kinky, iykwim. it looks pretty good, even if I do say myself.

OP posts:
Whoknowswhocares · 08/02/2013 13:55

All dresses look nice Trampy but I too like number 1 best. With number 3 in second place! The other two look lovely but more casual iykwim

muddlingalongquitenicely · 08/02/2013 13:59

Can you pm me your blog link too please trampy.
