Baby steps are the way forward, and if you fall off the wagon and have a pj day (or week) its ok, just jump back on. We want to take more pride in our appearance, make an effort. As one poster said, "we think there's no point making an effort if we are just at home with our DP's and DC's, but they are the most important people in our lives - why not act like it?" I certainly feel better, my self-esteem is higher and I have more confidence.

well I'm failing today; decent treggings and tunic hair ok no slap but its so cold iv put size 14 tracksuit bottoms and a thick maternity cardi over the top!
in my defence I'm just at home with baby and ill again ds but still......

Hello!

Im going to a party tonight, so deciding what to wear. Either my allsaints tee dress (though not sure what to wear on my feet) or skinny jeans and a top. Im feeling a bit 'oh bloody hell sod it I'll stay home' but may have a glass of wine later when getting ready. Remember that shit 'friend' I mentioned a while back? Pretty sure she's going, and as she only knows me, chances are she'll sit with me... better go and make sure I look awesome

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, Im in love with a pair of allsaints boots and tried them on loads this morning, thankfully for my bank account they only had one pair of size 6 left and they were the display ones so I didnt bother. Dh says buy them off the website but Im not sure I can bring myself to click 'buy' I'll keep an eye out for a code I think and maybe that'll get rid of the sting!

My River Island jacket got an outing yesterday (only to Ikea!). My sister really liked it and she's a lot trendier than me.
Unfortunately my day out has set me back and I was back at the doctor today. I am under strict instructions to take it easy and relax - not something I take well to but will need to try.

Just back from a run so achey but feeling all snuggly after a shower, moisturise and face mask.

Tomorrow wearing 3/4 length sleeve fat face dress, just above knee with a V-neck and twist at bust, dark blue floral pattern with hint of yellow, knee high dark brown suede boots. Trusty silver necklace and reckon I might straightne my hair in the morning to make it look a bit smoother (went to bed with it damp last night and run has not been kind to it, but wasn't dirty enough to justify another wash iykwim). I may even put my contact lenses in

Hair is good thanks Trampy - nothing drastic, only a trim but feels a lot healthier.

I am on a bit of a budget at the moment clotheswise as we have a massive holiday coming up this year and need to save some pennies, so trying to make the most of what I have and perhaps will do some browsing for some new tops and accessories but nothing else

Trampy they've got that jacket in three other colours now too. I would have them all if I could! I haven't worn it yet as haven't really been out much but on the mend now so sure it will get an airing soon.
Matalan opened a brand new store in my town and I have been really impressed. They have a lot of nice things and it is reasonably priced. I got a great pair of black jeans for £10 and I love their pyjamas. You should have a look - I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Morning! Today Im in stonewash topshop 'mom' jeans (god I love them but I had to try on 7 pairs on sat, each the 'same' size until I found a pair that fitted properly), blue vest top, charcoal boxy short sleeved top, grey sweatshirt, converse. Hair and makeup sorted.

Got a party to go to on sat, was going to wear my allsaints tee dress, however I really want some peep toe booties to wear with it... cant see that being sorted in time though.

Having a lazy monday, getting housework and all that done. Still havent got on with the shred dvd. I struggle so much with motivation.

good morning, no interesting fabulising news from me really except I painted my nails on thu for the first time (including strengthener) since dc3! I used the free one from Marie Claire and found it really good, pity I'll have to take it off tonight for
bloody work tomorrow, actually I bought a few long stripy tops from H&M sale last week very me...going to wear floral tunic skinny jeans converse-types to take dc's to grandparents in a bit x

I am not feeling particularly glamorous this morning (dressed for housework, running errands and gardening later) but have newly shaved legs, sparkly skin and will be getting dressed up later today for parents evening.

Back to work properly tomorrow so am going to plan my outfits today!

The River Island jacket arrived today and I love it. It is lighter than the original version - obviously meant for Spring - and more of a cardigan than a jacket. The colours are really lovely - great for going with denim. Can't wait until I'm properly better and can wear it out and about.

I am trying to make myself feel a bit better by getting a bit of pampering. Have booked a hair appointment for next week for a cut and blow-dry. It's not at my usual place so not going to brave a colour until I know what they're like. My sister is bringing me a home dye kit and I'll do it myself as a temporary measure.

I've also just messaged a nail technician that I've used before to see if she can fit me in next week. I don't really need my nails done but thought it might help perk me up a bit.

I'm really loving Matalan just now - both their clothes and homeware. I've just ordered this and this. I might be a bit old for them but never mind - at that price you can't go wrong.

I really need to get back to work before I bankrupt myself with online shopping!

I did have one laugh whilst I haven't been well. I was at the out of hours doctor and he was trying to establish what was wrong with me. He said some of my symptoms could relate to a stroke but I didn't fit the age profile as I was too young. He then glanced at his notes and said "Oh, you're 43 - well you look young"! I think there was a compliment in there somewhere!

It's still bloody freezing here too guy. I spent yesterday hiding indorrs hugging radiators and wrapped in blankets while watching The Vampire Diaries and eating chocolate

Managed 3k tonight but it was really hard work. I was planning on switching shred back on yesterday but decided to...well, see above!

Am just focusing on the basics right now and managed to get my hair cut for the first time in 6 months today. Just some damage control/ends off but it feels so lovely. Going to pamper myself tomorrow night - feet and face

They have also started a new offer at our supermarket (they do ti every year). You collect stickers for money off entrance to our local spa (10 minutes walk up the road). They have lots of lovely pools inside and out and I had a great massage there when I was pregnant with DS. I have one full card already

Hi - remember me! I haven't been around much as I've been struck down with a horrible virus which has left me feeling really dizzy and sick - not ideal for using the laptop. And this is one of the few days I've actually been dressed in the last few weeks - and I certainly haven't been wearing make up or doing my hair.
I'm on the mend now and starting to get a bit bored of being at home - which means too much online shopping!
I was so excited when I came across this. I didn't buy the original version because I swithered about it for too long and then couldn't get my size. So I have snapped this up even though I haven't actually seen it in real life. Hopefully I'll like it when it arrives - have paid for express delivery because I'm so excited!
I know some of you didn't like the original but I thought it was nice on. Trampy I hope you approve!

Hi all, feeling better here thank you but this weather is doing my head in. This house is freezing.

Engels well done for going out running, Ive really really let my attempts slip. And the longer I leave it the harder I find it is to go out - I get very self conscious and think Im going to be laughed at

Anyway Ive had a very off the wagon weekend regarding low carbing but Ive enjoyed every single thing Ive eaten and Im back on it today. Got my shred dvd ready to do tonight as I think its more toning up I need to concentrate on, however that dvd is horrible so whether I do it or not I dont know...

Blue levis, purple long sleeved top, grey cardy, huge leopard cardy over the top. Looks awful but my priority today is keeping warm. Hair clean and tied back, makeup on.

I am enjoying being on holiday and today DS is in nursery so am pottering in the garden and enjoying the sunshine (though it's still bloody cold).

Dressed nicely enough for a trip to the garden centre but will be getting changed into old gardening clothes when I get back!

Going for a haircut tomorrow and have finally pulled my trainers back on (did 4.5k last night). Now I just need to stop eating chocolate!

Engels, just jump back on the wagon! I had a scruffy couple of weeks too, but I shaved my legs and pits, dried and styled my hair and painted my nails last night, and put on make up and got a bit dressed up today. I felt so much better for it. How are you doing?

I have been a rubbish fabulizer. I need to get back to basics with grooming again (blow drying hair, moisturizing body and hands, cleansing face properly before bed and wearing nice clothes).

hello yes I'm 75% better now but ds and dh have got it now ffs only to be expected so that just leaves (baby) dd2 to catch it...I'm jealous of the rugby action too i haven't even seen The Allianz yet...it'll be next season now
