I'm at the back of the class!

northerner, you need cendre, it is between clair and beige and also a bit less yellow than beige.

puff · 10/05/2006 20:44

I can understand what Jools means though re it being less suitable for ahem...the more mature skin - I like my Estee Lauder Perfectionist just as much.

mousiemousie · 10/05/2006 20:49

I couldn't understand what the wierd wand was for. After a few weeks I made the chance discovery that the pump dispenser DID EXIST but had always been stuck invisibly in the top of the lid when I opened it.

So the weird wand applicator turned out to be the pipe that delivers the foundation up to the pump dispenser bit that had been hiding in the lid.

No one ever said how bright you need to be to use that stuff. And me, a scholarship girl 'n all.

rofl mousie - I did the same - was in a hump for a week because I thought I didn't have a pump dispensing bottle

Puff glad to hear it's not just me. Although you did better than me on the timeframe of cracking the weird wand mystery. How did you feel when you finally made the discovery? It was a weird moment for me

puff · 10/05/2006 20:56

I felt.........thick but relieved Grin

tamum · 10/05/2006 20:56

I didn't like it. Nowhere near as good as my other top favourites. My skin's obviously too mature (and for Perfectionist, sadly, which has made bog all difference 3 weeks in...).

puff · 10/05/2006 20:59

Sad tamum

we need to find the perfect foundation for you!

skin type? age?

I've heard good things about Estee Lauder Double Wear - can anyone else report on this?

mousiemousie · 10/05/2006 21:00

Is it easy to get the lid off on that one?

That has got to be a priority for me on any new purchases

tamum · 10/05/2006 21:01

Ah, thanks puff. I really like L'Oreal Visible Lift actually, it makes the most obvious difference. And the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser for every day. Always open to suggestions :) (and remember, I am the one who hated Creme de la Mer- fussy, moi? :o)

JoolsToo · 10/05/2006 21:01

I can confirm DoubleWear is fab Grin

tamum · 10/05/2006 21:02

Oh sorry, forgot to answer you- 45, not particularly problem skin apart from being sooo old!

JoolsToo · 10/05/2006 21:02

me and GDG (bad grammar) went for a pre-wedding make up thingy at House of Fraser and we've both been using it ever since!

puff · 10/05/2006 22:37

I liked the consistency of it Jools - did try a bit on my hand, but the shades were "out" for me - I'm very pale and slightly pinky toned (rather like a pig Grin) and there wasn't a shade for me in the range.

essbee · 10/05/2006 22:40

Am I allowed to join this clique too?? Not sure i've ever been in a clique!! I'm a limpide in liquid pump Wink, it's the first foundation in a long time that is my perfect shade and it smells nice too!

puff · 10/05/2006 22:42

lol at "limpide in liquid pump" essbee - sounds v norty Grin

anchovies · 10/05/2006 22:43

To be honest I like double wear better, much better consistency for me and my slighty blotchy skin. I find the vitalumiere doesn't last very well, just seems to have slid off by lunchtime?

essbee · 10/05/2006 22:50

Puff, it does a bit, doesn't it!!! Grin Are you a pumper or a cream girl? Wink

puff · 11/05/2006 00:54

pumper Grin

threelittlebabies · 11/05/2006 01:01

Got liquid in clair 2 weeks ago. Am usually prone to the odd spot, and moreso since my last pg, but has definitely got worse since started using this as it is heavier than my last foundation. So can't really see if it is any good yet, keep focusing on my awful spots! Sad

CountessDracula · 11/05/2006 10:24

I disagree, I use hardly any. If I squeeze the pump fully onto my hand I only use about a quarter of it
