Bought it, lovely texture and dewy but think I may need more cover to achieve sought after polished look. I have it in clair in pump bottle.

swedishmum · 22/04/2006 23:18

Went to local Nepalese restaurant and had to admire my complexion on trip to loo! I practically gave up on make up when we moved to the country but am a convert again. Now, who can tell me a lovely dewy lipstick to go with my dewy complexion? All mine seem very sticky or very dry.

cod · 23/04/2006 12:04

yes a lot of the lancome onesa re good
a lso their star gloss stays on longer than a lot of the other glosses
although love clinique impossible glossy too

GDG · 23/04/2006 14:53

Anyone got Touche Eclat (sp?) - worth it?

Socci · 23/04/2006 15:09

Yes - I have it - it's good. But you have to use just a little ime with foundation as well otherwise it can look a bit strange. It works very well when used sparingly though.

Socci · 23/04/2006 15:10

You can buy it quite cheaply on www.buycosmetics.com

arfy · 23/04/2006 15:55

haven't been to the tip as it's raining and all my rubbish (which was in the garden) is soaked. And I couldn't be arsed

BUT some friends came round and commented on how great and well I was looking. And I can see in the mirror how fab it is.

you def need to receive some commission from Chanel. takes a lot for me to spend that much money on makeup

crunchie · 23/04/2006 17:35

OK I have now tried this stuff, the debenhams woman said I needed No30, but that they didn't do a tester in this so she gaveme 20 and 40. Well I tried the 20, 40 is far too orange for me, and I cannot belive she thought I needed to go darker! Fine if I had a suntan, but she must want me orange too!

Anyway my feeling is that it is very oily when you put it on, a bit weird actually, I needed to wipe my fingers to get rid of oit all! But it is pretty good, for the no makeup look. However it covers f-all!! If like me you use foundation to cover the spots or something, then this won't do at all. I used a bit of my normal foundation over them. But it would be good if you have pretty good skin anyway, even if it is a bit tired looking.

I think I might ask my Mum and Dad to get some next time they jet off somewhere, as it might be good duty free. Actually it might be good for my mum who has dry skin.

I need to keep using the sample, and them go to another Chanel counter and get more samples etc etc so I have some until then !!

Socci · 23/04/2006 17:40

Does it go down to 10? Because my testers are 20 and that's a bit dark for me. I agree, it is very sheer. So not great if you get a lot of spots.

cod · 23/04/2006 17:42

whast wiht the numbers
think oyu ahev the worn g one

Socci · 23/04/2006 17:44

cod · 23/04/2006 17:44

Enid · 23/04/2006 18:02

cream or liquid?

liquid surely for me (used to tinted moisturiser so I think cream might be too 'covery')

satine · 23/04/2006 18:40

Slight hijack - has anyone bought anything from \link{http://uk.strawberrynet.com/800/smain.aspx\strawberryNet}
They do discounted cosmetics and perfumes but I'm always wary of fakery...

sammac · 23/04/2006 18:41

I'm joining this club too. I was impressed by your opinions(as ever) and went and got myself done at the Chanel counter too. I am a 40, which is beige. She also gave me loads of samples kindly. She said it is best for medium to dry skin rather than combi or oily skin
