Quite like the shape of that one, Feistybird, if not the colour etc. But I think the shirtwaister isn't for me. I'm too fat. Have to say, the ones I linked to on the Debenhams site look a bit grim to me. Maybe they're better on than they look in the pics.

I do like that last one JackieNo; not sure about that belt though on it. They don't have many sizes left.

JackieNo · 21/03/2006 22:06

Searching for 'shirt dress' rather than 'shirtwaister' seems to come up with more.

JackieNo · 21/03/2006 22:07

Here you go - \link{http://www.uktvstyle.co.uk/index.cfm/uktvstyle/StandardItem.stepNew/aid/555269.shtml\six of the best shirt dresses}, and yes, the Boden one is in there!

JackieNo · 21/03/2006 22:11

I guess so.

crunchie · 21/03/2006 22:24

Cod me too, that's the only one that doesn't look like a nurses uniform to me :)

This is a trend that 30 + women is going to love (instead of 12 year olds and skinny jeans) BUT I think it is a really aging fashion trend that unless you get get it so right, you will look grannyified :)

I loved those yummy wrap dresses and I did buy one, but most of them made me look like a middle aged frump bag - WHICH I CERTAINLY AM NOT!!

So wrap dresses are supposed to be in hmmm, I need to see if they work for me and don't make me look older than I am. I am waiting to lose a little more weight them it will defineatly be city shorts and heels :)

TinyGang · 21/03/2006 22:29

So, ahem, takes out notebook..what are the do's and don'ts when wearing these dresses then? Ie how not to look frumpy in one.

cod · 22/03/2006 09:15

no wraps are out
they never suited me
amdemy hips look enormous

OP posts:
cod · 22/03/2006 09:16

acc to a n article i read its high heels and handbags or flip flops and meesneger style bad

OP posts:
Ulysees · 22/03/2006 09:32

Regarding frumpy, I suppose if you wear a modern belt and jewellery it'd help. Oh and don't forget to take your hairnet and rollers out Wink

I like them and now for the first time in years I have a flat tummy I can probably get away with one?

Ulysees · 22/03/2006 09:32

yes that too cod.
