No 7 counter "scanned" my face for foundation match!

Apparently the technology isn't going to be available at other make-up counters for a year! I'm a "cool ivory"! :)
Any one else tried it? I have to say I was really, really impressed with the match. Ended up with a mouse foundation which looks so natural while providing good coverage! PLUS it's half the price of the Laura Mercier I was using....

Ooh, that sounds interesting. I might give that a go. Do you need to have it done with no foundation already on to give a most accurate match?

I have to admit to being very lazy with my foundation and use No 7's Intelligent Colour.

bigTillyMint · 01/09/2012 07:55

OOh, I could do with this as I have gone a few shades darker since my hol - is it in all Boots stores?

newmum001 · 01/09/2012 07:57

I saw the advert for this yesterday and can't wait to give it a go. Like charliemouse said do you need to go in with no foundation on to get a true result?

lolalotta · 01/09/2012 08:09

I skulked into town with no make-up on...
Blush but luckily didn't bump into any one I knew!!!! Grin
Really loved the texture of the mouse...

The Boots website will tell you which stores do it!

They need you without your foundation on. Lisa Eldridge's blogged about it on her site

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/09/2012 16:31

I think the Tamworth Ventura park one has it....It's more of nm area really.

I bet I'm the only mner in the village.

MarshaBrady · 01/09/2012 16:33

Wonder if it can work with freckles.

germyrabbit · 01/09/2012 16:33

can't you just tell which colour is best by looking at it with your eyes Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/09/2012 18:32

I saw the advert on TV and the actress playing the consultant is an ex- Soap star
(Just saw it briefly- it's either Perdita from Emmers, or the Mad Lawyer Dev was engaged to in Corrie) Grin

lolalotta · 01/09/2012 21:34

But Gerry, it's so overwhelming!!! There are so many to choose from!!!!

They do it at the two nearest Boots to me - am slightly tempted.

cybbo · 01/09/2012 21:42

No Gerry choosing the right foundation fraught with problmes

Olympicnmix · 01/09/2012 21:46

Won't be coming to my nearest Boots for about 10 years but yes think Ventura Park a safe bet FluffyCloud. Wonder if it's similar technology to hair removal when they calculate colour pigment in your skin?

Intersat · 01/09/2012 22:00

Thanks lolalotta. I am definitely going to try this out.

Thanks for the Lisa link Itsgottabebags

Sexyfothermucker · 01/09/2012 22:06

Hiya. Just so you know, you don't need to come into store without any makeup on, we only need to take off a small amount from your jawline on both sides of your face. It literally takes 2 minutes. It's fabulous Smile

GW297 · 01/09/2012 22:08

I can't wait to do this soon!

ginmakesitallok · 01/09/2012 22:12

Yeah! Guess where I'm off to tomorrow?? I have really fair skin and struggle to find a foundation that suits (am using No 7 perfect match or somethign just now which is OK) - so sexyothermucker, how does it work??

Sexyfothermucker · 01/09/2012 22:19

The device has 8 LED lights and one UV light that measures the tone and depth of your skin, giving you a perfect match of foundation. If you look on either Boots website or Lisa Eldridge, they both have loads of info on them. Hth Smile

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 01/09/2012 22:30

Would love to try this.

Although would prefer to have a mousse rubbed into my face rather than a mouse.

NasalCrayon · 02/09/2012 02:02

Do they match you to a no7 foundation or all brands?

NasalCrayon · 02/09/2012 02:05

Stupid question Blush ignore that!

lolalotta · 02/09/2012 06:11

Ilove I can't believe I have been spelling it mouse all along, duh!!!!! Blush
