Best I could come up with......

ollie I didn't know you could buy curlywurly in Holland..it seems a quintessentially British thing..or do you have a curlywurly mule Wink
I wore a leather jacket so much in my earl 20s I feel like I'm done with them though slate grey sounds good..I do like the idea of a slate bikini if anyone has seen one on their travels..

thanks for the positive feedback on the bangle,I will probably wait until I pass through New York again(hopefully this Summer) so I can talk it through face to face and do measuring up.I tried measuring my wrist circumference with a round cookie cutter earlier..it was double sided..do not recommend!
blue I do like the idea of incorporating an old piece of my mums jewelry into the bangle but haven't figured out how to make it work yet.

red I thought the whistles 'garish' top was lovely Smile

annie your posts about your daughters/family life are so joyous..they warm my gnarly heart!

icey I did snigger at the thought of pickled the serial killer!

pickled sorry if I've asked before, are you or your DH very musical, your DD sounds amazing!

okay too many !!!,I need to calm down..was remembering last mini meet today while looking forward to the next Big One and thinking of annie and ants grooving..can't wait for the next Smile

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2012 21:19

Seriously, who would wear this?

OllieinOrange · 19/01/2012 21:26

Thats a ruffle too far eh Amber?!

Reine yes to curlywurlys being available here but no Crunchies, Twirls and Double Deckers. Thats what my mule sister brings over.

Have ordered Boden jumper, 12 week wait for the smaller sizes tho but usually size up for Boden knitwear so have gone for a 14. Some items already have a 19 week wait, bonkers.

ruffleicious amber

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2012 21:34

It's about 20 ruffles too far. Like these though...

I think even Keira would look dodgy in that...

NYE Hopefully means your business is going to take off with an influx of MNers!

I haven't name changed in the 5 years I've been on MN. Apart from the odd Christmas name. How unadventurous am I? Not about to change now Wink

Mint velvet jackets look lively, apart from lack of brown. Got an email today that brown Oasis biker ordered in the sale is out of stock, so order cancelled SadAngry. Back to the brown leather drawing board!

Hopefully · 19/01/2012 22:48

lovely. Stupid phone.

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2012 22:53

Oh, what a shame Hopefully, I love my black version.any chance of finding it in store?

notyummy · 20/01/2012 09:15

Sorry to hear about your jacket Hopefully.

Weather really grim here at the moment - really hoping it clears up soon as I was hoping to go out for a longish run.

Had a bit of fright here last night - DD was sprinting into her room and tripped and hit her head on the bed really hard. No loss of consciousness thankfully but a HUGE whack right above the eye (although could have actually been the eye itself.) She was very brave and we used an ice pack and lots of distraction. She had literally been about to go to bed, so she was asleep half an hour afterwards. Checked on during the night but she seemed fine. She has an enormous swelling and her eye is starting to swell shut this morning, but she is absolutely fine in herself and determined to go to school ('we go on the bikes and trikes on Friday afternoon and it is packed lunch day - my favourite!') I hate to think what her teacher thinks....

olly thanks for the wave - I too hope ants is doing better

can't keep up with the thread at the moment, very busy at work and not getting enough sleep at home. anyway - this too shall pass!

Emo76 · 20/01/2012 09:31

amber in answer to your question, a very thin person wishing to add lbs? seriously! I'd look like a barrel in that

notyummy · 20/01/2012 09:53

I am not sure that even the model looks good in that blouse Amber. The model is the same height as me and according to the website she is the same size too, so I think we can deduce that I wouldn't suit it either. I think teeny tiny types might manage it (Emma Watson?) I have seen worse, tbh, but not the most accessible 'piece' in general is it?

AmberNectarine · 20/01/2012 09:56

Well the pin thin model looks about 7 months gone in one shot Emo, so it's not for me who definitely doesn't need any help in that department

Have just had a call from the jewellers to say my replacement MK watch has arrived, so will pick that up later. Hopefully this one won't break on the first wear!

Hopefully · 20/01/2012 09:57

Amber I phoned the two nearest stores who were both supremely unhelpful, and TBH couldn't be bothered after that, so am admitting defeat. Am just keeping fingers crossed that someone releases a nice biker either for SS or AW this year, as I don't think my beloved leather has another year in it. Plus it's really too big when I get towards my ideal weight.

NY your poor DD! Glad she is on good form this morning.

I am liking my outfit today. Topshop mustard zip skinnies, new Inhabit cashmere slash neck jumper and Splendid racer back vest. And bare feet. I really need some slippers!

DH flew to Germany for work at silly o'clock this morning and is gone till Wednesday, longest we've been apart since first moving in together Sad. Luckily my mother was planning to visit anyway, so haven't actually got to cope with DS1 & 2 by myself until Sunday or Monday.

AmberNectarine · 20/01/2012 09:59

red your VB dress has an extra 40% off on the outnet (even though I know you've decided on the Reiss...)

Hopefully · 20/01/2012 10:04

Eek, just ordered the Dicker boots!

IceCreamCastles · 20/01/2012 10:17

Ooooooooh. Blochs have arrived. Packaging is sooo pretty!

IceCreamCastles · 20/01/2012 10:29

Oh no. I appear to be between sizes (as bloody normal). Size 6 far too big. 5s slightly tight. What are the chances of them stretching a bit with wear?

carciofi · 20/01/2012 10:30

Reine, the bracelet is beautiful, lovely idea to have your DDs' names engraved.

NY, hope your DD is ok. The dress is great, you couldn't leave it behind!

Hopefully, I've just remembered you were the bride who posted a while ago and looked at your photos. You looked gorgeous, hope you had a fab day.

Looby, yes, I am really looking forward to going. I can't wait to see my friends (and my family, of course). I left Ireland 15 years ago but we are still close. DH is having lessons this weekend on how to work the steriliser etc. :o

My friend dropped over the bright blue 811s, thinking of gettting navy next.

The £15 return is very annoying, Bloss, especially when you also lose the customs charge.

Glad you had a good birthday, Red.

Amber, where are you going to get your colours done? I'd like to do a two hour session as well. All this talk is making me very curious. I thought I was an autumn but those colours look awful on me, pinks and blues suit me better (I can see from old photos). I am pretty sure I am a cool summer. You are too, aren't you, Fritzi? I have the same colouring as you, I think.

carciofi · 20/01/2012 10:31

ICC, my Blochs didn't stretch.

AmberNectarine · 20/01/2012 10:31

bloss were you after black Agnes?
