Best I could come up with......

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 10/01/2012 10:58

Hopefully ooh love the love Smile. Excellent!

Rufus I'm sure we will have to try to not get tense tomorrow when we get up 2 hours earlier!

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2012 10:58

sorry too many !

Yes I end up getting really painful feet in ballet pumps if they are too flimsy. Which is odd because they are flat and therefore meant to be comfortable. The Carvela ones are much more comfortable for me as they have support. I also have triangular feet.

First purchase of the week - star print PJs from Hush. On a mission to sort my PJ drawer. In fact, planning a big wardrobe clear out today, as I can no longer close my drawers!

Am taking advantage of the mild weather in my houlis, grey marl T, nude TS ballerinas, big leopard scarf and black leather biker for the nursery run this am. DS has moved up into the toddlers room, feel a bit emotional about it he looked so little next to the other children! Not the most inspiring outfit ever, but think we should all post what we are wearing more often because I like reading about them for inspiration.

On the subject of wardrobe clearouts, does anyone want a pair of black Agnes, size 30, before they go for eBay?

FritziGreenEyes · 10/01/2012 11:12

Oh, there you are! Was wondering where everybody was today Smile. Thanks for starting a new thread ollie.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2012 11:15

Done! Finally got some Hush pjs. Did it over the phone as couldn't checkout. Bought the French stripe ones. Thanks for the code Amber.

I am wearing Stella M moto skinnies and big slouchy navy SM jumper, plus grey suede Carvela ankle boots. No need for coat today.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2012 11:16

Hi Fritzi I know, I posted number 1000 (I never look at the numbers) so no room for link to this one. Hope everyone can find it.

notyummy · 10/01/2012 11:20

My outfit is DULL today. Black trousers, black flats and maroon BR merino top - and black parka. In office but no meetings so more dressed down. Nice earrings though - art deco with mermaids on Smile.

Hopefully · 10/01/2012 11:31

I have ordered these Ash boots, hope they're nice! They're slightly darker/cooler than is absolutely ideal, but have successfully warmed shoes up with brown shoe polish before, so not too concerned about that.

I love ballet pumps but can never quite shake the feeling that I look like a hobbit in them (I'm not ever than short - 5'6"). Which is a shame, as I find them pretty comfy, as long as I'm not walking ALL day (I get sore heels if I do). Will experiment again this year.

Amber that must mean I am as stylish as Wendy. Ahem.

I am wearing my only trousers Kew skinnies today, and have decided that the Shredding must be having some benefit, as they are falling down. The bum cleavage is not quite the look I was going for, but nice to see I'm shrinking a bit. Hurrah!

notyummy · 10/01/2012 12:23

Blue - I can't tell if any of the ladies in spots in the WIT email are pregnant (squinting on iphone!) Are you there?

MidnightinMoscow · 10/01/2012 12:52

Hello All.

Glad to hear you are feeling brighter today Marsha. I am sure DS will be thrilled at the idea of you meeting up for cake after his interview, good idea from VB.

Good buy on the Ash boots Hopefully, and sounds like the shred is working well for you. You'll be needing some new jeans soon....enabler

I am hoof-footed too, in fact trotter like is how I'd describe my feet. They are very wide. Before I had DS I was a 3, now I am a 5. All very odd.

Amber I think your outfit sounds great this morning. I had, and loved, those nude ballet flats from TS, but they got completely wrecked. I need a new pair this spring.

So, as requested I am wearing today a deep purple drapey dress with a black long sleeve top underneath with black opaques. Toped off with Whistles navy and plum spotty scarf.

I purchased a pair of Hush PJ's as well this am, something to wear after the baby comes and infinitely better than the Primark ones I wear now.

Thank you all for your kind and wise words yesterday. So good to hear that so many of you have been through similar issues, especially with DH's and DC's.

annie I have a leather hole punch, which is basically what a cobbler or similar would use to punch the belt. It works fine, but the finish on the extra holes will always be a tiny bit rougher than the original holes. Fine for the perfect belt, but possibly not worth it for something that you're not deeply in love with.

IceCreamCastles · 10/01/2012 14:28

Here you all are! Have been waiting for you on the other thread!

Annie- Victoria beckham and mrs cb wear indigo jeans with black boots (I think) so it's always seemed ok to me- as long as they are the right jeans and boots obviously.

I've just done a big hush order-would it be wrong to have a roxy moment over pyjamas? Looking forward to looking as good as possible in post birth photos Grin

Just had another growth scan- baby is approx 4lb 12 already with 6 weeks to go so don't think I'm having another tiny one!

Fellow Waist/thigh/bum disporoportionates: remembered last night that paige hidden hills jeans are a pretty good fit on me so may be worth a try. Tragically, per una used to be a good fit too Blush but hideous styling so let them fall by the wayside a good few years ago.

Will catch up better later

notyummy I didn't get my spotty trouser photo to WIT in time but did get a tweet from her congratulating me on my fashion dedication! Liked the photos and am looking forward to wearing mine with black top or grey marl and possibly some leopard flats (which I haven't actually bought yet). I'm very bad at wearing print with the exception of leopard and stripes but think I could really get into spots this SS.

hopefully loving all your posts and links. I have the TS Jess bis lookalikes; well done on getting them. I am keen to get my first pair of jalouse soon, undecided on colour. Now wondering about getting some aggies too, thanks to you. Loving those TS zip skinnies! Do they come in different colours? Hope so, will go look...

My whistles delivery is scheduled for this afternoon but I'm feeling already that the lilys will be no good after reading others' feedback. Like you, notyummy, I'm already planning the next purchase... I do worry that, like a child, I get more excited about buying than actually owning... Anyone else guilty of this syndrome please?! What could we call it?!

red we watched coppers last night and really enjoyed it! Hope I get to talk to you about your job one day, am intrigued.

Interesting about the full moon theory. Your kindness definitely helped and today I feel great again! DS was a model child at art club this morning and I was beaming with pride. Then coffee with a friend and her new little baby, which made me excited about cuddling my own. Thanks for your sensible words verity; they struck a real chord with me.

Love hearing about the outfits. I want to be wearing yours amber! Mine feels like same old same old but here goes: red and white Breton layered over long white vest, dark cream whistles boyfriend cardigan, indigo denim leggings, long brown boots. No coat and just LV red floral scarf and alexa when out - mild here too!

Hope everyone feels much jollier today too!

notyummy · 10/01/2012 14:39

I realised when packing a hospital bag pre-dd that I didn't own a single nightie or pair of PJs so had to hurriedly buy a two pack from Mothercare (nice....) with lovely poppers for bf. I ditched them without buying anymore when DD was a few months old and now am nightwearless again. Hence whenever we go to stay with anyone (like this weekend) I have to frantically scrabble around looking for leggings/shorts/yoga pants to pack to wear in lieu of a nightie to avoid embarrassing myself or anyone else when I pop to the loo in the middle of the night!!

blue2711 · 10/01/2012 14:40

annie I was going to order that necklace but won't now! Just go to a good cobblers for the holes though, I do that with all belts and even did with the cross body strap on my Alexa. You can't tell the difference and it's so worth it.

blue2711 · 10/01/2012 14:41

Have never shopped at Hush and feel like have missed out. Going to look now...

Russianred · 10/01/2012 15:08

Loving hearing about everyone's outfits. I am in a red and black flannel checked short-sleeved dress which is quite sixties in style and from Gap, with a long sleeved black heat tech top underneath, black opaques and ballerinas. My curls have come back with gay abandon today - I washed hair and didn't have a chance to style before taking DH to work. Am very pleased as I have missed my curls.

Blue it's a really boring, but essential part of TV production that I can do from home in the evenings. Nothing too exciting and it comes in fits and starts, via a friend. Have just finished the stuff for Coppers and am hoping something else will come up soon or there'll be no spending money for me..! Glad the spotty trousers worked out for you.

Icey will have a look at Paige Hidden Hills, thanks for the tip.

Have just ordered a lovely Farhi top from an Ebay outlet - is this one and got it for £25 BNWT. I was inspired by this sunny weather and thought it would look good with bright skinnies.
