Hello you epic loner twat Wink

Baaaaaaaaaaaaah! Grin

saraya I answered you on the other thread :)

JodieHarsh · 06/10/2011 10:07
Grin

Sorry about the Bach-referenced title. Sometimes the RL pretentiousness seeps onto MN Grin

Now then I am dying to use my BE eye tutorial kit again, but I have my lovely Mum coming to stay for a few days and she really doesn't like me wearing lots of makeup. What to do, what to do....

Solution is clearly to make self up twice. DONE.

My skin is still vair clear and calm, btw. SO relieved. If after a few days of BE I'd had a breakout/sensitivity ishoo I would, in fact, have wept until I drowned in my own tears.

Ooooo Val, meant to say - you're the Bisque Queen, non? I used a tiny tiny bit yesterday but my hands were shaking with excitement weary, so I wasn't really concentrating - about to give it my first proper proper test, slowly, in daylight. It's a bit alarming in the pot, no? I am so used to basically bright white stuff. . .

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 06/10/2011 10:14

Bisque is yellow based that's why it knocks out the redness of spots/veins/ high colouring etc.

You are using your special concealor brush aren't you?

Sarayu · 06/10/2011 10:16

I can't believe that within a couple of days, I am:

-regularly posting on MN (been a long time lurker)
-part of a cliqueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-converted to mineral makeup
-giving up MAC

valiumredhead · 06/10/2011 10:18

saraya it comes to us all eventually Wink

JodieHarsh · 06/10/2011 10:18

Yar Val, got it here all lined up and waiting Blush

I shall report back once I've done it - I place all my faith in you and BE

Sarayu 'tis frankly terrifying how soon one can be sucked in, no?!

On the last thread there was mention of the By Terry growth boost mascara. I meant to say that not only does it make lashes thicker after a month or so, it stays put all day but comes off like a dream with a decent eye make up remover.

Anyone tried the Nars Velvet Matt Lip pencils? So easy to put on and colour stays for ages. I love the orangey red Red Square and Pop Life is a slightly more muted red.

monkeysmama · 06/10/2011 10:20

Make sure you wait for your moisturiser / primer to settle properly before you use bisque under your eyes or it can clog a bit.

Sarayu · 06/10/2011 10:21

I am sucked in Shock Real life keeps getting in the way. Husband keeps trying to talk to me

Sarayu · 06/10/2011 10:25

monkey where do you buy Nars from? I've never used it.

I'm looking for a decent gel liner

JodieHarsh · 06/10/2011 10:26

Oo Monkey I am always after the perfect matt lippie. I am enjoying the difference of having BE gloss as it's something I've never worn, but my 'look' (such as I have one Hmm ) would be more a dark matt lip. Aha, something else to beg from that kindly Father Christmas Grin

rusmum · 06/10/2011 10:28

Mbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! lol

JodieHarsh · 06/10/2011 10:28

Oooo Sarayu have you tried jet set gel liners?

I have one and it's REALLY good, and one of the very few things to survive my post-BE massive makeup throw-out.

OP posts:
JodieHarsh · 06/10/2011 10:29

I really do need to stop saying ooooooo and squealing.

I have 10 GCSEs you know! Hmm

Sarayu · 06/10/2011 10:31

NOOOOOO the only one i've tried is a boots cheapy. It slides off after an hour. I shall 'pin' it to my boards

VivaLeBeaver · 06/10/2011 10:32

I'm off to find an orange lady tomorrow.

Phwooooar · 06/10/2011 10:33

Sarayu - Bobby Brown get eyeliner is the bestest! I do realise it's not BE but sometimes have to slum it Grin

monkeysmama · 06/10/2011 10:43

I usually buy Nars from Space NK (you can order on line too) but you can often get good deals on eBay too. I usually get my Nars Laguna bronzer on eBay and it is a fair bit cheaper.

I highly recommend the matt lip pencils. I bought this for my mum who likes a darker red. It's more of a traditional lipstick (I prefer the pencils) but she loves it.

I bought this Bare Minerals Pretty Mazing gloss/lipstick a few weeks ago and love it even though I never usually wear glosses. The Rosy mauve colour is really natural in rl and it's not at all sticky. Worth trying the colours in rl though as they look different on line.

MooMinCow · 06/10/2011 10:44

hello, longtime Lily Lolo user here Grin (sorry, BE too sparkly for me and brings me out in bumps)

Maybelline gel eyeliner is FAN-bloody-TASTIC!
