Sarayu · 06/10/2011 21:57

waaaaaaah I don't have any powers yet. It's going to be even worse tomorrow when I am full BE faced.

meltedchocolate · 06/10/2011 21:59

You are following me. I am following Pinot Jodie and you. So if you followed the other person I was following except Jodie and yourself, it is Pinot :)

Sarayu · 06/10/2011 22:12

Ohhhh melty. I see we have something in common! Wine

meltedchocolate · 06/10/2011 22:50

We do indeed :o

hester · 06/10/2011 23:40

I want to pin too! But I don't really understand it. How do I 'follow' you, get onto it, sarayu/jodie?

Sarayu · 07/10/2011 07:30

hester send me a pm with your email address and you will get an invite

MadamTwoSwords · 07/10/2011 08:39

Am following Jodie and Sarayu and melty so far. It won't let me change my profile pic though, stupid thing linked to facebook, so if you see a little girl staring at you, til I can change it that's me!

Despite being up twice with DD last night, and with DH having diabetic attacks the night before I only look half dead as opposed to full on zombie.

My name is MadamTwoSwords and I love Bare Escentuals

hester · 07/10/2011 08:48

Thanks Sarayu!

Just ordered a three more samples and a blusher from lilylolo. Somebody stop me

rusmum · 07/10/2011 09:22

blush colour advice? also warmth still on offer? anyone?

Pinot · 07/10/2011 09:39

MinnieBar and OhThisIsGrape Can I recommend the lilylolo peepo concealer. I found bisque good for blemishes but a tad dark for undereyes. Researched and found better reviews for peepo than for BE well-rested (and half the price, incl p&p). Ordered it wednesday, arrived yesterday, tried it straight away and I'm converted.

I'm putting it undereye first, then applying BE make-up as normal. The effect is that the yellow neutralises the purpley colour of my eyes and then the foundation all over my face leaves me all one colour, so no yellow patches from the peepo. Yes it's an extra step, but I've found today no need for concealer on my undereyes after the foundation so actually it's the same process just in reverse.

Grape the reason I added you to this (as you didn't mention undereyes) is that if you apply peepo to scars before foundation, I think you'd end up with a uni-colour base.

(I love the bisque for blemishes btw)

I hope this helps :)

Pinot · 07/10/2011 09:48

rusmum have PM'd you

Dillydollydaydream · 07/10/2011 10:03

Ooh a bright new shiny thread :)
Gonna have to join this pinterest thingy, sounds intriguing!

valiumredhead · 07/10/2011 10:12

Pinot I use Bisque for high colouring on my cheeks which works a treat - shall I try the Lilylolo one? I need it to be yellow based, I think that's why Bisque works so well but I'm interested in a cheaper version!

Babyliss Big Hair - just washed and dried my hair as normal using a big round brush and I went over it afterwards with the Big Hair - it doesn't seem to 'pull' as much as on the first try with it which isn't good. It's not worth £44 quid that's for sure, it's more like a £25 product imo. I'm undecided as to wether I'll keep it or not. It worked SO well on 3 day old hair, I will try it tomorrow for 'touch ups.' The other think is that my hair is due a cut in 2 weeks and it's longer than I normally have it - it might work better on my hair once it has its layers back in...

Pinot · 07/10/2011 10:16

peepo is literally a lemon colour (looks scary!) but it disappears into the skin, taking purple/red with it. I did have to apply foundation afterwards otherwise it's look odd...tomorrow I'm going to try one coat of peepo as I did two this morning. I have horrid purple circles so I'm self-conscious of them, but I may have gone too far. You tend to do too much on the bits you're most worried about don't you?

With p&p it was less than a tenner & recieved in 24hrs.

BBH works best with layers, I think. And definitely not on soft, slippery fresh hair. With a bit of mousse (old-skool!) it's great though!

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:16

Sarayu would this stuff do well for my purple veins on my cheek? BE summer bisque is just not cutting it for those :(

Valium, do you think I would be able to achieve the same results with a hair dryer and a MASSIVE round vented brush. Apart from the air coming up underneath I don't see what the difference is. You would turn a brush anyway...

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:20

Last night I did all my full make up. Glam smoky eyes n everyfin! Was much fun, but have decided I just cant put a second layer of BE on. It makes my face look, sort of dried out but also greasy at the same time?? I used matte.. May stick to original with just one layer.

valiumredhead · 07/10/2011 10:21

pinot Right that's it - going to order some asap - where's the best place to get it?

melted I am good with a round brush and hair drier - better than my hairdresser tbh ( boast! ) so I am not that impressed but if you can get it cheap it's a nice gadget. I need the cool shot on my hair drier to set the hair too which the Big Hair doesn't have. My mum is hopeless with a brush and hair drier so I can see her being really pleased with it iykwim?

Mousse! I had forgotten all about that stuff! Grin

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:24

I also used the warmth with one of the concealer brushes (I have a small one which I have now turned into a shadow brush as I have no other make up brushes Blush) and I used it to make luuuurvly contouring line thingys under my cheek bones and it looked amazing. Like my cheekbones stuck out beautifully from my face :o

Looked REEEEEM Wink

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:27

well it is £30 from either John Lewis or Amazon. So tempted. worth £35?

I also can be good with my hair (If I can be bothered) so not sure I shouldn't just get the old round brush and mousse out...

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:27

35 that should have been

Pinot · 07/10/2011 10:32

I buy from lilylolo.co.uk, this is the blog about it on the site here

melted the benefit to the BBH is that it's one handed, the air and the brush is via one hand, leaving the other hand free to section your hair. With a big brush and a hairdryer I get all tangled and don't have enough hands. I am a tool though :o

Pinot · 07/10/2011 10:33

melted I like the idea of outy-cheekbones! WANT!!

meltedchocolate · 07/10/2011 10:36

Pinot, surely you just used clips to pin away the rest of hair? that way you can be more precise? No?
