New thread here!

Roast lamb here today too Bloss! In fact, I keep meaning to prep all the veg now as the kiddies want to take Daddy to the funfair at the beach as his Father's Day treat! I think saving up for a 2.55 is a great idea, I do feel really special everytime I use it.

DH and I had a lovely meal out last night and some very boozy (but fairly suave and handsome) Belgians kept telling him he was a very lucky man!! It actually made me feel quite happy - I'll take the compliments wherever I can get them!!

WAN - I agree with fritzi that you should hold out for the boots you want 'buy cheap, buy twice' is my mantra but River Island do have these if you want to take a look. I am hoping that my Jalouses will be here early next week so I'll let you know what the verdict is.

Ants - I tried on those Reiss trousers and they are lovely fabric but very long and, with the zip detail, unalterable. They also have annoying pockets which ruin the line - why do all the shops do that??? I ended up with the Jigsaw ones and really love them. Also very long but can be shortened.

Morning BlossSmile lost my post yesterday and didn't have time to redo it! Glad to see that you've got your interview class sorted, I'm sure that you'll be great.
Ollie I concurr on the long sleeved blouse!
Carciofi DD2 was also born in London, with no family around, you do work yourself into a routine that works for you, and dare I say it, but I personally found Gina Ford a really good reference book on days when we had no routine and I didn't know what the hell I was doing!
I wore my Houlies during the winter with ankle boots and they looked fine - so if you're thinking of getting the Jalouse they might workSmile
Bloss what colour Agnes did you get? I'm thinking of getting the black ones with a satin finish.
Well done to all the handbag purchasers! am being very wise here!

petitdonkey · 19/06/2011 08:13

WAN - I spent about 30 seconds debating starting a thread after my birthday 'AIBU to ask my lovely cleaning lady to stop buying me presents as they are invariably ugly but I can't hide them as she will know?' - can you imagine the pasting I would have got??? (maybe deservedly so Blush)

FritziGreenEyes · 19/06/2011 08:35

bloss Shredding early on a Sunday morning will guarantee that you feel fab all day! I am currently reading "Unlimited" by Jillian (alternating with the Cazalet Chronicles!) and find her really inspirational! The swimsuit is gorgeous and you will look great, very EA on the beach Wink.

ollie We have to co-ordinate our party plans as I have my 40th in November too and was hoping for W&A attendance Grin.

katy Sounds like a successful holiday! Perfect girlfriend seems rather insecure and not so perfect after all.

petit I was never able to appreciate compliments but now that they get rarer I really do!

moragbellingham · 19/06/2011 08:56

Ooh Katy, thanks for the tip. Sorry to hear about the weather and your DS though - it is a shame when you only have a limited time to enjoy your stay.

Is there anywhere else that you thought worthwhile visiting around that area?

carciofi · 19/06/2011 09:14

Bloss, lovely swimsuit. I prefer swimsuits to bikinis. I still want the red Anna bag (greedy!).

Sounds like you all had great nights/lunches out. I feel like a hermit and was in bed at 9.30 last night!

Ants, lol at the shared sock drawer! M&S are good for knee high socks.

Portia, I will try them on with boots. Someone has offered me less than the reserve price which I only set at £50, eh, I don't think so. I hope they sell for more. I did a kind of relaxed version of GF with DD1 and it worked well. MIL has already been sneering as she overheard DH and I talking about a routine, obviously I don't expect the baby to be in a routine for a while, we are just trying to keep track of times between feeds etc. The baby is easy but DD1 seems to want something as soon as I pick up the baby. GRR!

FritziGreenEyes · 19/06/2011 09:27

carciofi Please forget your MIL's comments: You and DH do whatever suits you and your DDs best!

carciofi · 19/06/2011 09:32

Thanks Fritzi!

Ollie, pale pink sequin top

wideawakenurse · 19/06/2011 09:52

Really quick post from me.

I have put some pictures up on my profile of the white blazer that I bought. Can you have a look and give honest opinions? Do I look like an extra from Miami Vice in it?

thanks

wideawakenurse · 19/06/2011 09:59

Sorry - I have put them on my facebook page instead.

blossoming · 19/06/2011 10:04

Lol at shared sock drawer ants! I love knee high socks and get mine from m&s too!
portia, I got sharkskin. Friends noticed my lack of 'colour' yesterday! Monochrome better this weather I think.
Good to have you back katy.
I'll have to get that book fritzi.
I'm sure things will settle soon carciofi. I think you should get £100 for the houlihans.
Starting to feel a little tired now!

Hello!

Petit tis I tb but name-changed.

Popped into bicester on friday and bought this bag - it is soooo lovely.

Also bought a sparkly bracelet from Liz Hurley beach - very pretty and of course I just loved buying something from my fashion idol Wink

blossoming · 19/06/2011 10:57

WAN love, love, love the blazer! Looks great with everything. I say keep.

katy1katy glad you had a good holiday. I love finding new shops when away (DH less so!)
Carciofi lovely top for those toned of arms (ie not me!) The one I was drooling over was more like this one here - v bad quality tho according to reviews.

Where's NY - hoping DD is on the mend?

MarshaBrady · 19/06/2011 11:13

Bloss great news

I ordered some stuff from theoutnet that I don't really want as it was taking so long. Will return and do it properly with NaP.

petitdonkey · 19/06/2011 11:16

Hi MrsCB Smile - love that bag!! Tiny bit of Envy - it will go with anything.

FritziGreenEyes · 19/06/2011 11:19

mrscb Gorgeous bag, lucky you!!!

wan I like the blazer but think it would look better with other top. Maybe more fitted T-shirt in pink?

Promised DD to take her to outdoor climbing park but it is really cold and looks like rain. Plus DH shows first signs of cabin fever. Maybe I should send them to indoor playground hell? Grin

WAN not on facebook so cannot see blazer but I think looking a bit Miami vice is no bad thing anyway! Am sure you are rocking it!

mrsCB love the new bag!

So have to face up to fact did not get any Olympic tickets. Will try again in second round for losers this time round but am gutted.

carciofi · 19/06/2011 14:03

Lovely bag,MrsCB. I am quite a Liz fan myself!

Ollie, I will keep an eye out for you.

Ants, hope you manage to get tickets

Fritzi, sounds like good father/daughter quality time!

carciofi · 19/06/2011 14:03

I love the blazer - I will be keeping an eye out for a white one now! Think it looks v. stylish.

No Olympics tickets here either so sis and I have had a good look at availability for the second round and there's nothing that we think the girls would be interested so we're not going to apply. Hope you get some though - I expect a fair few people won't re-apply so better odds!

Lovely bag mrsCB

I went on a hen night last night and wore the strapless floral playsuit again but hoiked up shorter this time, with very high strappy sandals a bit like this and with a purple Bayswater clutch. Felt good but a bit strange being visibly pregnant and out in town on a Saturday night. Was a very civilised hen night with nice meal and I didn't stay late but still tired today.
