New thread..

MM it did nothing for me either - too much material and too long on me.

Bonsoir · 09/02/2011 15:00

ApuskiDusky - my DD (who is 6) has to wear glasses all the time for her long sight. The very nicest frames out there at the moment, IMO, are the Tartine & Chocolat range. DD has a pair (take a look at my profile) she got last summer, and we chose a second pair from T&C last week.

MM - I couldn't resist!! I have just ordered that P8 Maxi Blush I am hoping the fact that I have very little to reveal up top (32 A on a good day...) will mean that it may work on me! I fear it may be too big though, as IIRC P8 isn't small sizing, so I would usually have gone for a 10, but only the 12 left. Will give it a try anyway. There is a JL near where I work, so I have done 'Click and Collect' - so no postage costs, plus huge reduction - whats not to like Grin

Thanks for all the advice regarding shoes everyone, I have it narrowed down that I am getting a pair of wedge desert boots (i sort of like the clarks 'original' ones Blush which I will wear with wide legged jeans and skinnes and today I bought a pair of Carvela brogues with a small heel, which look surprisingly nice with skinnes and denim skirt. I will link in a moment, but that will be me sorted for footwear for spring.

I have a lovely morning trying on dresses in phase eight - tried a Janice but BOO - it was awful on me, really unflattering Sad however this was very flattering indeed, am thinking of it for the summer....

I also liked a fenn wright dress - polka dot jersey, it was really flattering on, but I am not sure of the length or if it's a bit mumsey? Will find a link..

OllieWollieWoo · 09/02/2011 15:13

MM Is the Janice still available??? I'll have it please if so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MilliONaire · 09/02/2011 15:16

these are the shoes I bought this morning.

MilliONaire · 09/02/2011 15:19

the suprisingly nice dress.. Is it mumsey?

TheAllNewOoooh · 09/02/2011 15:46

Apuski I can completely understand you being a bit Sad particularly if an operation is involved, but remember how incredibly cute little kids with glasses look! I always think of the little boy in Jerry Maguire. And how adorable are this bunch?!?

notyummy · 09/02/2011 15:48

Milli - I think it would depend on how it is styled. With that neck line I think it runs the risk of looking mumsy for those ladies with bountiful breasts!! However for the smaller up top it could work.

blossoming · 09/02/2011 15:50

Dress looks good millionaire. I want a ppolka dot dress like WIT has. The lkb was disappointing on me.

Ollie pm me and I'll send you my paypal thingy. Can post tomorrow. It's a 12 is that ok?

blossoming · 09/02/2011 16:06

Unbelievably IO just said they would refund me the dress I sent back on the 6th January! Where have they been? And why did they need a phonecall to remind them?

MilliONaire · 09/02/2011 16:10

notyummy, I am very small chested (b cup) so boobs look good in it as it is fitted around there. Also I am fairly tall, 5ft 10" & size 12, so the length hits just around the knee. The colours are gorgeous..Is is such a comfy day dress...just need to figure out what to wear on the feet with it as that's where it runs the risk of looking frumpy...

Oh! I also loved the phase eight navy top with the short chiffon sleeves, again due to small boobs it was very flattering & would look good with summer chinos/trousers I think.

TheAllNewOoooh · 09/02/2011 16:17

Hi MilliO I love the shoes but am not convinced about the dress. But it could work with some cool funking up - how would you wear it?

monkeysmama · 09/02/2011 16:19

I wondered if you'd like it Yummy but though you'd already have it Grin. Placed another big Warehouse order. They have some great bits in atm. Will be delivered tomorrow so I'll link to anything nice then. Also waiting for two lingerie orders. I half thought I should wait until my body returns to normal but I know a few new bras will make me feel a bit body happier. And it is Valentine's of course.

We are going away for a few days. Only a UK break as the place we really wanted to go in the West Indies was fully booked so we are going at the end of May instead. We need something to look forward to. Will be nice weekend though and dd is very excited which always makes me happy.

monkeysmama · 09/02/2011 16:20

Clarks have some boots just like you described in store reduced for £80 to £20 odd.

OllieWollieWoo · 09/02/2011 16:48

Thats great MM - will PM you now with sisters UK address.

MilliONaire - I love that P8 top too - have been waiting for it to come on the JL website so I can order it for my sis to bring over but its yet to appear on there (hate having to pay delivery charges!)

MilliONaire · 09/02/2011 16:49

monkeysmama, do you mean the clarks originals wedges or are you responding to someone elses post? £20 would be FAB Smile

TheallnewOOOhh..I don't know how you would best funk up that dress, I only got as far as grey opaques and perhaps wedge shoe boots? Any other ideas?

monkeysmama · 09/02/2011 16:52

I think it's those Clarks boots Milli.

petitdonkey · 09/02/2011 16:53

Hasbeens arrived today and DH looked like this Biscuit!!

In fairness, I did try them on whilst wearing black opaques but he's more inclined to like me in a pair of stilettos so the fact that he managed to just comment 'mmm, they're different' was quite restrained!

MilliONaire · 09/02/2011 16:54

I will investigate in the morning - thanks so much!

monkeysmama · 09/02/2011 16:58

They don't have them on line but my sister showed me some yesterday she'd just bought in the sale. Am sure it was them.

monkeysmama · 09/02/2011 17:08

Anyone have any thoughts on these before I press "buy"? They're very similar to the ££££ Belstaff ones I should've bought in Italy in October.
